Today
we are taking a look back at the March 2017 Our Daily Bread Designs Release! We are celebrating with a Design Team Blog Hop and I
know that you will not want to miss out on the fabulous inspiration from the
rest of my ODBD sister “Bread Sticks” - we would love to have you hop along with us:
My
card features the Daffodils stamp set along with the coordinating Daffodil Die,
Side Step Die, Circle Scalloped Rectangles Dies (all from the March
release) as well as the previously released Pierced Square Dies and BeautifulBorders Dies.
To
create this card:
1).
Ink the Daffodils floral image with archival black ink and stamp three of the
images onto white cardstock. Die cut
each with the Daffodil Die and watercolor with watercolor pencils (in case you have never seen purple daffodils, I "googled" purple daffodils for my color combination :-)).
2).
Die cut the card base using the Side Step Die from plum cardstock, fold
along the score lines.
3).
Die cut and emboss two pieces of white cardstock with the medium size die from
the Circle Scalloped Rectangles Dies, split one in half and mount onto the “steps”
of the Side Step Card.
4).
Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the Beautiful Borders Dies,
adhere to the front “step” of the card base.
5).
Add the Circle Scalloped Rectangle die cut to the side panel and add the die cut Daffodils image.
6).
Stamp the sentiment from the Daffodils stamp set using black archival ink onto
white cardstock, set the ink with a heat tool before die cutting and embossing
the sentiment with the Pierced Square Dies.
Mount the sentiment onto a piece of plum cardstock, trim close to the
edge. Mount the sentiment to the side
panel and add a few pearls to the corners.
7).
Use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the flowers to finish off the card.
I am also linking this card to the Stampin' Royalty #365 Spring Challenge and the Word Art Wednesday #274-#275 "Anything Goes" Challenge.
Thanks
again for taking the time to stop by- hugs
and have a great week, my friends!
