You're A Hoot- A CAS card with "Kissing" :-)

Hi Stampers!!

I have been having fun creating cards this past weekend and decided to create one more card using the CASology #157 “Wings” theme along with the Just Add Ink #273 Color Challenge, As You See It #98 Sketch Challenge and the Splitcoaststampers' WT538 Sequins Challenge (see details here and gallery here).

Again, if you have not already done so, I hope you will find the time to visit the above challenge sites to check out the wonderful Design Team samples as well as the inspiration from their galleries!

To create this card:

Ink the owl image from the Lawn Fawn set, You’re A Hoot with Blackberry Classic Ink, the branch image with Crumb Cake Classic Ink, the leaves with Bermuda Bay Classic Ink and stamp all of the images onto Whisper White cardstock.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Lawn Fawn You’re A Hoot coordinating dies to cut out the images.

Ink the crosshatch stamp from You’ve Got This with Smoky Slate Classic Ink and stamp onto the Positively Chevron background stamp, “huff” to re-moisten the ink on the background stamp and stamp onto a Whisper White cardstock panel (this technique is called “Kissing”- love that technique name :-))

Stamp the sentiment with Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink, trim the panel and mount onto a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, trim and mount onto Blackberry Bliss cardstock and trim once more to mount onto the Bermuda Bay card base.

Adhere a bit of looped Natural Linen thread and the leaves to the card front, mount the owl and branch using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.
Add a few Bermuda Bay Sequins to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Stampin’ Up!- Positively Chevron (retired), You’ve Got This; Lawn Fawn-  You’re A Hoot

Ink:  Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate

Paper: Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay

Accessories: Big Shot™, Lawn Fawn You’re A Hoot dies, Natural Linen Thread, Bermuda Bay Sequins

Thanks again for visiting- I hope all of you have a wonderful Monday!!

Julie, this is utterly adorable! Love the 'kissed' background, that looks fabulously grunge-y. You make our challenge colours look like they were created just for your card. Thanks for joining in the fun at Just Add Ink this week. :)
