I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for the talent He has bestowed on all of us!
I have been artistic all of my life and love experimenting with different mediums and techniques. This blog is my creative outlet to share my passion for cardmaking and papercrafting!
I hope all of you are
having a wonderful weekend so far!! Saturday
is my turn to highlight a card at the Artistic Outpost blog and I wanted to share this
quick One Layer Mixed Media card with you here as well:-)
Fold a 4 ¼” x 11”
piece of Extra Thick Whisper White cardstock in half for your card base.
Ink the Bottle Caps Background stamp using Ranger® Tim Holtz® Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry
Distress Ink, spritz lightly with water, press the card front onto the background stamp , lift
and dry with the Heat Tool.
MicroGlaze™ to each of the bottle cap images (I used my finger to apply)- this
will resist the ink in the next step.
Using a modified
version of the Smakin’ Acetate Technique (cut open a clear envelope so only one
side is hinged, apply a small amount of Ranger® Tim Holtz® Worn Lipstick and
Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to one side of the open envelope, spritz lightly
with water, close the envelope onto the ink, use your fingers to spread and mix
the ink a bit, open the envelope and press the stamped background into the ink,
re-pressing as needed until you achieve the desired effect).
Ink the images from
Ice Cream Shoppe with Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper
White cardstock, fussy cut and layer onto Basic Black cardstock, fussy cut once
more and set aside.
Ink the sentiment
from Ice Cream Shoppe with Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink and stamp directly onto the
fussy-cut images and mount onto the card front with dimensional foam to finish
off the card.
