FM32 Girly Girl Challenge

Hi Stampers!

Wow- a week has gone by already!  I have been working a lot of OT at my daytime job and have not had a chance to play as much as I would like in my stamp room :-(

This is my second week as a Guest Designer for the Friday Mashup! and what a great challenge we have in store for you!

So here is the FM32"Mashup" Challenge :

  1. Make a project featuring "A Girly Theme".
  2. Or Make a project using "Your Favorite Technique".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Girly project using your Favorite Technique".
I decided to “Mash it Up!” and include several of my favorite techniques- heat embossing, dry embossing, rolled flowers, homemade designer paper and distressing!

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock.  Lightly sponge the cardstock with Basic Black Classic Ink to bring out the raised areas.

With Basic Black Classic Ink, stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock and emboss with the Decorative Oval Frame Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Carefully cut out the oval frame around the embossed edge and lightly sponge the edge with Basic Black Classic Ink.

On a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, stamp the images in Basic Black (stamping some images off the paper first to give the lighter images).   Tear the upper corners and distress the edges with the Sponge Dauber and Basic Black Classic Ink.

With Versamark™ ink, stamp the dress form image on another piece of Sahara Sand cardstock and heat emboss with Black Stampin’ Emboss® Embossing Powder.  Carefully cut the image out around the embossed outline.

Punch out three circles using the 1 3/8” Circle Punch from Blushing Bride cardstock.  Run thru the Crimper Tool and break up the fibers slightly.  Cut around the circles in a wavy line starting from the outside edge of the circle to the center (spiral cut) and create the three rolled flowers.

Assemble the layers and add the lace, ribbon and pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Established Elegance, Herb Expressions

 Ink: Versamark™, Basic Black

Cardstock: Basic Black, Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand, Whisper White

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders- Vintage Wallpaper, Decorative Oval Frame,  Embossing Buddy®, Heat Tool,  Stampin’ Emboss® Black  Embossing Powder, 1 3/8” Circle Punch, Crimper Tool, 5/8’ Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Pearls, Lace (from my sewing stash)

Thanks again for your visit and if you have the time, let me know if you like this “girly” card!  I had fun making it and can’t wait to share next week’s challenge with you as well!  Hope you can join us at the Friday Mashup! this week and have fun stamping!
