Vintage and Distressed- Another Scalloped Tag Project :-)

Hi Again Stampers!

I am having so much fun with the new Scalloped Tag Punch so I decided to use the gorgeous PPA194 color combination at The Pals Paper Arts along with stitching for FM150 Friday Mashup! Challenge, the beautiful SC76 Stampin’ Celebration PhotoInspiration Challenge and the “Simon Says Tag-It” Wednesday Challenge along with the Simon Says Monday “D is for Distress” Challenge!

I hope you will have the time to visit all of the sites and check out the wonderful Design Teams and the numerous entries that provide so much inspiration!

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ along with the retired Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper (DSP) and lightly sand to bring out the white core and distress the edges using the Distressing Tool.
Ink the En Francais stamp and the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge using Smoky Slate Classic Ink and stamp onto a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock- distress the edges of the cardstock using the Distressing Tool.

Using a sewing machine, stitch both pieces of the background to a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and distress a bit more along the edges.

Adhere the Wisteria Wonder background from the Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper (DSP) onto a piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock, trim and layer onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock.

Add the crochet lace to cover the seams of the cardstock and DSP and cover the top edge with the retired Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon.
To create the tag- punch out the Scalloped Tag from a 2” piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamp the Thoughts and Prayers image using Stampin’ Write Markers-  Wisteria Wonder and Night of Navy (stamp off once prior to stamping onto the tag).
Huff onto the En Francais stamp to re-moisten the ink and stamp over the image on the tag and again onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock (to use for the sentiment).  Layer a scrap piece of embossed Night of Navy cardstock to the lower portion of the tag (previously embossed using the Big Shot™ and the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder).  Distress the edges using the Distressing Tool.
Add the crochet lace along with the Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon to cover the seam of the embossed Night of Navy layer.
Create the rolled flowers from Night of Navy and Wisteria Wonder cardstock along with Afternoon Tea DSP (use the 1 ¾” and 1 ¼” Scallop Circle Punches- punch the scallop circles, hand cut a wavy spiral from the outside of the scallop circle toward the center, use the retired Crimper Tool to distress a bit, roll up from the outside edge and adhere using Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive or a Hot Glue Gun).
Add the leaves from Smoky Slate cardstock (created with the Bird Builder Punch) and rolled flowers.
Add the tag to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.
Stamp the sentiment from the Hostess set, Express Yourself  onto the scrap piece using Night of Navy Classic Ink.  Cut out the sentiment using the Word Window Punch, create a banner using the Hexagon Punch, layer onto a piece of Night of Navy cardstock (also punched with the Word Window Punch, cut into half and spread to create a frame).  Layer the sentiment onto a small oval of Night of Navy cardstock and add to the card front.
Create the paper bow from Wisteria Wonder using the Large Oval Punch and Hexagon Punch- add the Antique Brad to the center to finish off the bow and adhere to the top of the tag.
Add the Pearls to the ribbon on the tag and the sentiment to finish off the card.
Stamp Sets: En Francais, Thoughts and Prayers, Gorgeous Grunge, Express Yourself (hostess set)
Ink: Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Stampin’ Write Markers- Night of Navy, Wisteria Wonder
Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Wisteria Wonder, Afternoon Tea DSP
