Whew, I finally have a moment to create a blog post (we are in the middle of remodeling and have been extremely busy this past week)!
I wanted to play along with the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #143 Color Challenge (use yellow and
I love playing along with online challenges and also included the International Art & Soul #92 Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge (diagonal Image-Die Cut- Embossing).
To create this card-
Ink the pear image with Versafine™ Onyx Black ink, stamp onto white cardstock, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.
Once the embossing has cooled, color the image with water-based yellow and green markers and once satisfied with the coloring, die cut with a stitched rectangle die and mount onto a piece of black cardstock (trimming close to the edge).
Trim a piece of designer paper with yellow and green (and a bit of brown- I hope neutrals are OK), mount onto white cardstock, trim again and mount onto black cardstock.
Add the background
panel to a white card base.
De-static a piece of black cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp the sentiment from Blessings/Beatitudes 1 with Versamark™ ink, apply white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.
Trim the panel to a
rectangle, mount onto another piece of black cardstock to thicken the layer and
adhere behind the pear image.
Add a piece of white
crochet lace and mount the entire layered panel to the card front using
chipboard (or dimensional foam).
To finish off the
card, use a clear glitter pen to add a bit of shimmer to the pear.
