TCC180 Eiffel Collage

Hi Friends!

Welcome to the #180 Travel Abroad or Stay At Home Challenge at The Card Concept!  This challenge has a new twist for us at The Card Concept- you have two inspiration challenge photos for this two week challenge (see below to check out our alternative "second" inspiration photo :-))!

I chose the #180 a photo as inspiration for my card, specifically the Paris tile on the upper right hand corner (top row) and also used the colors from the color dots for my Clean and Layered Mixed Media card.

I pulled out the Artistic Outpost Eiffel Collage background stamp with the sentiment from By The Sea (Divinity Designs, LLC)- I have not inked up either of these images in a while (I have a goal to ink up my older stamps and use what I have “in stock”).

I also enjoy playing along with other online challenges and playing along with the  Stamping Sensation September “Feminine” Challenge and the Word Art Wednesday #551-#552  “Anything Goes” Challenge into the design.

If you have not had a chance to visit our Design Team/gallery at The Card Concept Challenge, or the other challenge sites,  I hope you will find time to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!

This was a fairly easy card to create using just stamps and other supplies:

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the Eiffel Tower background stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink and stamp onto the prepared cardstock.

Apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, fussy-cut around the edges and watercolor the image using water-based markers.

Layer the image onto white cardstock, trim and mount onto melon cardstock, trim and mount onto black cardstock. (FYI- if you are better than I am at centering your image onto the white cardstock in the beginning, you may not need to fussy cut and re-layer, lol!).

Add a strip of melon grosgrain ribbon, wrap the ends behind the panel.

Mount onto a white card base.

Ink the sentiment from By The Sea with Versafine Onyx Black ink, stamp onto a piece of white cardstock, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Trim the panel close to the sentiment, mount onto black cardstock, trim again and add to the card front with dimensional foam.

Use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the flowers and rhinestones to the floral centers and sentiment to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Eiffel Collage (Artistic Outpost), By The Sea (Divinity Designs LLC)

Ink/Mediums:  Versafine Onyx Black, Stampin’ Write Markers- Balmy Blue, Gray Granite, Melon Mambo, So Saffron; Zig Clear Wink of StellaGlitter Marker

Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Melon Mambo

Accessories/Tools: Embossing Powder Tool, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, ¼” Melon Grosgrain Ribbon, Rhinestones

Thanks so much for stopping by-I hope you have been inspired to join us with our #180 Travel Abroad or Stay At Home Challenge at The Card Concept!

Here is the second inspiration photo that you could choose to use for your card.  We hope you can choose one, create a card and join us!
