Hi Friends!
This week the Design Team at Stamp Simply are
sharing cards for Easter and/or Spring. Such wonderful inspiration from the rest of
the Design Team! I hope you will have time
to visit and check them
out!
Even though the temps are in the 30’s and 40’s here on
the East Coast, I am looking forward to spring with the pretty flowers and
blooming trees and decided to create an Easter card.
I pulled out a the Floral Cluster Summer Roses stamp set for the floral image and paired it with a verse sentiment from the He Has Risen stamp set.
I also used
two separate paper pads, Craft
Consortium Ink Drops- Rosev and Carta Bella
My Valentine (both 6x6 paper). Lastly,
I added a bit of lace and ribbon as well as a few dies- all from Stamp Simply!
The floral
image and the verse
sentiment were heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The floral image was colored with water-based
markers before die-cutting with the coordinating
die and the sentiment was die-cut with an
oval die.
The top half of the background is a piece of light rose designer paper from the Craft Consortium Ink Drops- Rose 6x6 paper pad. Unfortunately I had to cover up this gorgeous paper- look at all those fabulous ink drop backgrounds! So pretty that you do not even need to add an image!
I also love that the verses from the He
Has Risen stamp set can be displayed year round as well as at Easter.
It is hard to see the shimmer on the floral image from the clear glitter marker and I finished off the card with a few pearls.
As many of you who follow my blog know, I enjoy
participating with online challenges and was inspired by the Tic-Tac-Toe
#194 Featured Designer Joanne Challenge (diagonal from far left Ribbon/Bow- Flowers-
Designer Paper) for this card.
I am also linking to the Krafty
Chicks Challenge #648 All Occasions Challenge (Easter) and the Word
Art Wednesday #579-#580 “Anything Goes” Challenge.
If
you have not had a chance to check out the Stamp Simply blog yet,or the other
challenge sites, I hope you will take
the time to visit. Wonderful inspiration
all!
