Thankful, Grateful, Blessed

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing a card featuring the Sunflower Season stamp set along with sentiments from Welcome Fall, Sunset Ink Drops paper along with a few other supplies from Stamp Simply!

I had fun creating this card and used the SC907 Sketch from Splitcoaststampers for the layout.

I am also playing along with the Double D “Sunflowers” Challenge, The Flower Challenge #95 “Include A Stamped Flower” Challenge and The Place To Start Sept “Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to check out the rest of my Sister Design Team cards on the Stamp Simply blog, or the other challenges site yet, I hope you take the time to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the Sunflower Season floral image (just the flower head) with Versafine Onyx Black ink and stamp onto the center left hand edge of the cardstock.

Apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Stamp the image again onto scrap paper (or a sticky note) and fussy-cut the image.

Place the fussy-cut image over the embossed image and repeat step the embossing step above for the two additional flowers.

Watercolor the floral image with distress inks and water-based markers.  Fussy cut the entire image close to the stamped edges.

Emboss a piece of white cardstock with the Sizzix 3D Texture Fades Lumber embossing folder, trim to 2 ½” x 5 ⅜”.

Mount onto a piece of black cardstock, trim close to the edge.

Trim a piece of the Sunset Ink Drops designer paper to 1 ¾” x 5 ⅜” and mount onto the right-hand side of a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of black cardstock.

Add the layered embossed layer to the left-hand side of the panel, overlapping the designer paper.

De-static a piece of black cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the sentiments from the Welcome Fall stamp set onto the prepared cardstock with Versamark Ink, add white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Die-cut the sentiments with the Fishtail Sentiment Banners Dies

Adhere to the front of the card front, staggering the ends of the flags.

Mount the stamped sunflower image to the card front with dimensional foam.

Add the deep yellow rhinestones to the upper top right-hand side of the card and add a scrap piece piece of the Sunset Ink Drops designer paper (approx. 1" x 5 ¼”  front to finish off the card.

This card is fabulous. The contrast between the white embossed cardboard and the orange paper is wonderful. And those sunflowers are great. And the colouring is awesome. Thanks for joining us at A Place To Start. Hugs, María.
