Christmas in March?

Hi Stampers!
This is the third card for my 2011 Christmas card collection- see the Splitcoast Stampers Christmas CCC11 Challenge.  Again, the goal is to create 10 cards each month through November (obviously I am a bit behind :-).
I have been holding on to a few padded envelopes that have a shiny aluminum-type coating (see picture at right) and was hoping to be able to use them to make a card in the future .  This week’s "Recycling" challenge at The Paper Players seemed to be the perfect chance (see http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/  ) !

To create this card:
First cut the padded envelope with the Big Shot and the Snowflake #2 die.  Next emboss a piece of Whisper White with the Vintage Wallpaper EF and a piece of Bashful Blue DSP with the Finial Press EF.
Lightly sponge the Whisper White with Marina Mist and spray with Frost White Shimmer Paint. Lightly sand the Bashful Blue with the Sanding Block to show the white core.
Layer onto the card, stamp the sentiment with Basic Gray and punch the lower edge with the Eyelet Border Punch.
Adhere the ribbon above the sentiment and mount the background layer onto Basic Gray.  Punch a piece of Whisper White with the Snowflake Punch and attach to the larger snowflake with a Silver Glimmer Brad.  Mount to the card with Dimensionals.
Stamp Sets:  Christmas Greetings
Ink:  Basic Gray, Marina Mist
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Bashful Blue DSP (retired Hostess set)
Accessories:  Big Shot, Finial Press and Vintage Wallpaper EF, Sanding Block, Sponge, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Snowflake Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Glimmer Brad, Gray Satin Ribbon (non SU!), Padded Silver Envelope, Dimensionals
Thanks again for visiting- I had a great time making this card- now I need to go and make the other nine!
