Hi Stampers!
I had a chance to play
around in my craft room with some of the new stamp sets and decided to use the
Splitcoaststampers CC486 Color Challenge- Old Olive, Calypso Coral and DaffodilDelight with the “dessert” option of a fun fold (who can resist dessert :-)) so I
decided to create an easel card.
Again, I know most of you
have already stopped by the Splitcoaststampers gallery, but if not, I hope you
will find the time to do so- it is amazing the variety and inspiration from just one color challenge!!
To create this fun easel card:
Ink the floral stamp from
the new stamp set, Beautiful Bunch using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp two
of the images onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Color one of the flower petals
using the Calypso Coral Blendabilities™ Collection and the other flower with
the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities™ Collection. Color the center of both flowers using the Daffodil
Delight Blendabilities™ Collection and
add a few details to the center with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities™
Collection as well as the Chalk Marker.
Punch the flowers out with
the Fun Flower Punch (I trimmed the white away from the edges after punching)
and cut each flower in half.
Another view of the easel :-) |
Adhere the two alternate
colored halves together onto the piece of Old Olive Park Lane Designer Series
Paper (DSP) and mount onto a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock, trim and mount
again onto Whisper White cardstock.
Create the easel card using
the tutorial from Splitcoaststampers located here…I used a Whisper White
cardstock base and layered with Old Olive cardstock.
Adhere a piece of retired
Calypso Coral DSP (from the DSP Stack) and add the vertical pieces of Park Lane
DSP (layered onto Calypso Coral with trim from the Finishing Touches Edgelit™).
Mount the floral panel to
the front of the main part of the easel using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.
Stamp the sentiment from
Trust God using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, trim
and adhere to a piece of Old Olive cardstock.
Cut the remaining halves of
the flowers from the first steps above in half and adhere the quartered section
to the corner of the sentiment panel.
Adhere a piece of retired Calypso
Coral DSP (from the DSP Stack used above) onto the lower panel of the easel
over the Old Olive base and attach a piece of the Finishing Touches trim along
the sentiment panel.
Mount the sentiment panel
to the easel base (the trim helps to hold open the easel) and add a few Pearls
to finish off the card.
Stamp Sets: Beautiful Bunch, Trust God
Ink: Memento™
Tuxedo Black, Stampin’ Blendabilities™- Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral Collections,
Chalk Marker
Paper/Cardstock: Whisper White, Old Olive, Park Lane DSP, retired
Calypso Coral DSP
Accessories: Big
Shot™, Finishing Touches Edgelit™, Pearls
Thanks again for stopping
by- I still have a few cards to post from the weekend and will share
later. Have a great Monday!!

Such a pretty card, Julie. (I also noted you trimmed the white from around the punched flower - as you probably did for the butterflies in your last post.)
Thanks Aunt Pat!! Yes, I did trim the white from around the flower but the Elegant Butterfly Punch does not leave any margins (so no need to trim :-)) Thanks sgain for taking the time to comment- miss seeing you and hope you have a great week!!
