Hi
Friends!
Welcome
to the October 2016 Our Daily Bread Designs “Shining
the Light” ODBDSLC279 Color Challenge!
I am still working on my Christmas cards (I cannot believe it is only a few months away :-)) and designed this card with the ODBD
October 2016 New Release Christmas Note
stamp set, ODBD Merry
Christmas Border Die, patterned paper from the ODBD Christmas
Card Collection 2016 Paper Pad as well as a few other previously released ODBD
dies.
I will also be linking this card to the Word
Art Wednesday #250-#251 “Anything Goes” Challenge along with the Simon
Wednesday “Anything Goes” Challenge.
If
you have not visited the rest of my ODBD Design Team Sisters’ blogs and checked
out their fabulous projects yet, I hope you will find time to do so:
Emboss
a piece of white cardstock with the ODBD Vintage
Flourish Pattern Dies, trim approximately one inch off on the right hand
side, mount onto a piece of dark purple cardstock, add the 1” strip of purple
pattern paper (from the new ODBD Christmas
Card Collection 2016 6x6 Paper Pad) before adhering the entire panel to the
white card base.
Die
cut two pieces of white cardstock- one with the medium oval from the ODBD Vintage
Borders die and another with the ODBD Beautiful
Borders Dies and a piece of dark purple cardstock with the Merry
Christmas Border Die.
Stamp the sentiment from the ODBD Christmas Note stamp set with archival black ink (I determined the position of the mailbox before stamping) onto the die cut oval and add
the oval die cut piece to the card front.
I love the little bird on this mailbox- don't you? |
Adhere the Merry
Christmas Border die cut along with the Beautiful
Borders die cut to the card front and mount the thin strip of the border
from the new ODBD Christmas
Card Collection 2016 6x6 Paper Pad.
Stamp
the mailbox image from the ODBD Christmas Note stamp
set with archival black ink onto a piece of white cardstock, color with
watercolor pencils along with a water brush and fussy-cut the image.
Add "snow" with a white paint pen and shimmer with a clear glitter pen.
Adhere small pearls between the snowflake images on the thin blue snowflake paper strip (from
the ODBD Christmas
Card Collection 2016 6x6 Paper Pad) to finish off the card.
Thanks
again for taking the time to stop by! We
hope you will be able to create a project and join us for the ODBD
Shining the Light ODBDSLC279 Color
Challenge! You have until November 6, 2016 to join us for a chance to be spotlighted for the Shining the Light award or to win a $15 ODBD gift certificate (one random participant will be chosen). To be spotlighted for the Shining the Light Award, you must use ODBD stamps (or stamps from our sister companies: North Coast Creations or Artistic Outpost).
Hugs
and have a blessed week, my friends!
