It’s
Wednesday and time again for the weekly sketch at Splitcoaststampers! Diane designed
our #SC675 sketch this week and I decided to create a Clean and Simple (CAS) card
using the new Scene Silhouettes:Woodland Clear Stamp Set (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps).
I
absolutely love this stamp set and you can receive it free with a $60 order in
the month of December from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps! What a great gift to yourself for Christmas :-)
I
decided to also incorporate a chevron patterned paper for the
Splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple #458 “Zig Zag” Challenge along with the Word Art Wednesday #312-#313 “Anything Goes” Challenge.
If
you have not had a chance to visit the Splitcoaststampers’ Sketch gallery or
the other challenge sites yet, I hope you will do so- fabulous inspiration from
all!
1).
Using the Big Shot™ with the MFT A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die Set 1, die cut
a piece of black cardstock. Use the MFT
A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die Set 2 to die cut the chevron designer paper and
mount onto the black cardstock frame.
2).
Use an embossing powder tool to de-static a piece of white cardstock, ink and
stamp the Scene Silhouettes:Woodland images with an archival black ink, apply
clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool. Once the embossing has cooled, die cut with
MFT Stitched Squares STAX Dies and mount onto black cardstock squares die cut
using square dies.
3).
Add the mounted woodland images onto the card front with dimensional foam. Add the triple black and white 3/8” gingham
ribbon bow, wrap the ribbon ends behind the panel and adhere to a white card base.
4).
Add a few silver sequins to finish off the card.
