Seasonal Shelves- Give Thanks

Hi Friends!!

This morning I am sharing a card designed with the retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set, Seasonal Shelves.  This set from 1999 (wow, 20 years old!) and I also used some older metallic papers that I have had for at least 10 years- love using my stash!

If you have not had a chance to do so, I hope you will visit the above challenge sites- wonderful inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Emboss sheets of light copper metallic cardstock with three different embossing folders (I used three Stampin’ Up! folders- Quilt Top, Square Lattice and Tin Tile).  Trim onto ¾” wide strips and mount onto black cardstock.

Mount onto a piece of the light copper metallic cardstock, trim and mount onto black cardstock.  Adhere the entire panel onto the front of a white card base.

Ink the Seasonal Shelves image with Versafine™ Onyx Black ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, watercolor with water-based markers in neutral tones.  Fussy cut the frame, mount onto black cardstock and fussy cut around the edges.

Mount onto light copper metallic cardstock, trim and mount onto black cardstock.

Mount the entire focal image panel onto the card front using dimensional foam (or chipboard).

Finish off the card using a clear glitter pen on the wreath  and an extra fine white paint pen for highlights on the hanging dried flowers.

Stamp Sets: Seasonal Shelves (retired Stampin’ Up!)

Ink/Mediums: Versafine™ Onyx Black, Stampin’ Write Markers- Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate, Early Espresso; Tim Holtz™ Vintage Photo Distress Oxide; Spectrum Noir™ Clear Glitter Pen, Sharpie® Extra Fine White Paint Pen

Accessories: Big Shot™, Sizzix™ Textured Impressions Embossing Folder- Quilt Top, Tin Tile 3-D, Square Lattice; Embossing Buddy®, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

Thanks again for taking the time to visit- I hope all of you have a fabulous weekend!

I love this Julie! I remember this style of stamp in the catalog when I first started stamping! I think it's probably older than 15 years, I couldn't even find it in the listing on SCS! You did an awesome job with the metallic background too! Beautiful!

This is absolutely gorgeous, Julie! I love the creative use of the colors of our challenge. Metallics always add a touch of elegance to projects and your treatment of this background is perfect! Thanks so much for sharing your fabulous project here at A Place To Start!

Wow, that background with all the embossed detail is stunning and really frames the gorgeous image well.
