O Christmas Tree- A Trio of Trees

Hi Friends!

Merry Christmas week! Today I am sharing a quick Christmas card using the O Christmas Tree Bundle along with the Lumber 3D Embossing Folder, Fishtail Sentiment Banners Dies, Craft Consortium Organic Ink Drops paper and Deep Yellow Rhinestones (all from Stamp Simply)!

I enjoy playing along with online challenges and will be linking this card to  the As You Like It “Anything Christmassy” Challenge, Simon Says Wednesday “Use Dies in December” Challenge and the Word Art Wednesday #679-#680 “5th Annual Blog Hop and Anything Goes” Challenge.

I like this tree stamp set and decided to ink up the modern tree for my quick CAS card.

If you have not had a chance to stop by the Stamp Simply blog or the other challenge sites yet , I encourage you to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Emboss a piece of white cardstock with the Sizzix 3D Lumber Embossing Folder.  Trim to approx. 4“x5¼” and mount onto a piece of dark green cardstock.

Mount the background panel onto a white card base.

De-static a piece of white cardstock and a piece of the Organic Ink Drops paper with an embossing powder tool (this paper is perfect for backgrounds and it is hard to see the gold veins on the die cut trees, but it is very versatile for Christmas cards as well).

Using Versamark ink, stamp the tree image from O Christmas Tree Bundle onto the prepared panels (one on the white cardstock and two onto the designer paper), apply gold embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, die cut the trees with the coordinating die (cutting a second tree image from white cardstock to layer behind the white embossed tree).

De-static another piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the Merry Christmas sentiment from O Christmas Tree with Versamark ink, apply gold embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Die cut the sentiment with the Fishtail Sentiment Banners die (die cutting a second banner from white cardstock, layering the plain die cut behind the embossed sentiment).

Adhere the two embossed green trees directly to the card front.

Add the white embossed tree and die cut sentiment to the card front with dimensional foam.

To finish off the card, add a deep yellow/gold rhinestone to the top of each tree.

If you have not had a chance to stop by the Stamp Simply blog or the other challenge sites yet , I encourage you to do so- wonderful inspiration from all!

To create this card:

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool.

Using Versamark ink, stamp the Vintage Christmas Background onto the prepared panel, apply gold embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Using the Vintage Ovals and Twigs die, die cut the coordinating oval from the background.

De-static the oval area with an embossing powder tool, ink the bow image from the Christmas Joy Bundle with Versamark, apply gold embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Repeat the above steps for the small ornament and sentiment (from Vintage Christmas Background).

Trim the embossed background panel, mount onto a piece of white cardstock and trim again, close to the edge.

De-static another piece of white cardstock and repeat the above steps with the larger ornament image.  Once the embossing has cooled, die cut with the coordinating ornament die.

Mount the background panel onto a piece of copper metallic cardstock and adhere to a white card base.

Die cut the twigs from copper metallic cardstock.

Adhere a few twigs behind the oval sentiment die cut before re-positioning it onto the card front.
