This evening I will be sharing a few more Christmas cards using the Our Daily Bread Designs Merry & Bright Clear Stamp Set from the November 2016 Release.
This
card also incorporates the ODBD November 2016 Release coordinating ODBD Christmas Lights Dies, ODBDSnow Crystals Dies and ODBD Holly Jolly Collection 6x6 Paper Pad along with previously released ODBD Dies.
I
am linking this card to the Splitcoaststampers’ CC609 Color Challenge (I used the retired Riding Hood Red for my fav), the Simon Wednesday “Anything Goes” Challenge as
well as the Double "D" Challenges “Traditional Christmas Colors” Challenge and Cuttlebug Mania “Light In the Darkness” Challenge.
If
you have not had a chance to visit the ODBD Blog or the other challenge sites
yet, I would encourage you to do so- fabulous inspiration from all!
To
create this card:
Trim
a piece of the plaid pattern paper from the ODBD Holly Jolly Collection 6x6Paper Pad, mount onto a piece of white cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece
of green cardstock.
Add
the horizontal strip of green cardstock along with the 3/8” red taffeta ribbon (wrap
the ends of the ribbon behind the panel) and mount onto the white card base.
Ink
the sentiment from ODBD Merry & Bright Clear Stamp Set with a green and
cherry marker, “huff” onto the stamp to re-moisten the ink and stamp onto a
piece of white cardstock.
Die
cut and emboss the sentiment with the ODBD Layered Lacey Square Dies and mount
onto the card front with dimensional foam.
Ink
the string of Christmas lights image from the ODBD Merry & Bright Clear Stamp Set with black archival ink,
stamp onto a piece of white cardstock and die cut/emboss with the ODBD Christmas Lights Dies.
Use
water-based markers to color the Christmas lights and add white highlights
with an extra fine white paint pen.
Die
cut and emboss a few of the snowflakes from white cardstock using the ODBD Snow Crystals Dies and mount the snowflakes along with the Christmas lights onto the
front of the card.
Die
cut several pine branches and foliage from green cardstock with the ODBD Lovely Leaves Dies, add to the left hand upper corner of the card and add the red
taffeta ribbon bow.
Use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the snowflakes and add rhinestones to the snowflake centers to finish off the card.
