Rejoice Always

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing a card featuring the brand new (and first ever) Stamp Simply 6x6 paper pad- Coffee or Tea

I love the pastel colors with the coffee theme as well as the pretty gingham, lace doily and other patterns in this new paper pad!

I paired the beautiful Coffee or Tea paper with a sentiment from the Give Thanks stamp set along with an oval and leaf die, lace, ribbon and pearls all from Stamp Simply!

This card was very easy to create and I will be playing along with a few online challenges- the Double D Challenge “Fall Leaves” Inspiration Challenge  (I was inspired by the colors and leaves), the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #256 Featured Designer Karen (far left side row down- Spring/Fall-Embossing- Layers as well as the middle row down Gems- Free- Die Cut) and the Word Art Wednesday #665-#666 “Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to check out the rest of my Sister Design Team cards on the Stamp Simply blog, or the other challenge sites yet, I hope you take the time to do so- fabulous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Trim a piece of the Coffee or Tea designer paper to approx. 4” x 5 ¼”, distress the edges with scissors or a distressing tool.

Mount the panel on a piece of vanilla cardstock, trim to approx. 4 ⅛” x 5⅜”.

Mount the entire panel onto a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of dark purple cardstock.

Layer a piece of crochet lace onto the card front, wrap a piece of lilac seam binding over the top of the lace (wrapping the ends behind the panel).

Mount the entire panel onto a white card base.

Die cut the leaves from the Ink Drops- Sunset 6x6 paper pad, score the centers of the leaves, scrunch a bit by hand.

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the Give Thanks verse sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink , stamp onto the prepared cardstock, apply clear embossing powder, heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, die cut with an oval die (die cutting a second oval from dark purple cardstock to layer behind the sentiment oval).

Adhere the die cut leaves to the card front before adding the die cut oval sentiment with dimensional foam.

To finish off the card, add a few latte pearls to the upper left-hand corner and on the lower right of the oval sentiment.

Seek First

Hi Friends!

This week at the Stamp Simply blog, the Stamp Simply Design Team have been sharing Appreciation cards for our all types of personnel in service, whether it be our Military, Pastors, Elders, Deaconesses, Teachers, etc.

October is traditionally Pastor Appreciation Month and I decided to create a card for one of our Pastors using stamps, papers, dies and other accessories all from Stamp Simply.

If you have not had a chance to check out my Sister DT cards yet, I hope you will do so- such wonderful inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Trim two pieces of the Sunset ink drops paper to approx. 2 ¼” square and mount onto gold mirror cardstock. Trim close to the edge.

De-static another piece of the Sunset ink drops paper with an embossing powder tool, ink the verse sentiment from the Pastor & Ministry Appreciation Scripture with Versamark ink, apply gold embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing cools, trim the sentiment panel and mount onto gold mirror cardstock (trimming close to the edge).

Emboss a piece of kraft cardstock with the Tree Rings embossing folder, mount onto a white card base.

Directly mount the first two squares on an angle onto the card front and add the sentiment panel with dimensional foam.

Die cut several leaves using the TH Skeleton Leaves Dies from gold mirror cardstockAdhere the die cut leaves to finish off the card.

I enjoy playing along with online challenges and will be linking this card to the Word Art Wednesday #611-#612 Anything Goes Challenge.
