Welcome Little One

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing a baby card designed with the new Echo Park It’s A Girl 6x6 Paper Pad along with the Welcome Baby Bundle, dies, lace and other supplies all from Stamp Simply.

The new It’s A Girl paper is so cute! I love all of the sweet animal images and centered one of the little deer images on the bib die :-)

It has been a personal goal of mine to design a card for each of the 892+ sketches at Splitcoaststampers and I was able to use the SC750 sketch for the layout on this card- woohoo!

I am also linking this card to the Watercooler Wednesday WWC334 Helen’s All About Occasions Challenge (I definitely need a few more baby cards in my stash) and the Word Art Wednesday #529-#530 “Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you have not already had a chance to do so, I hope you visit the Stamp Simply blog to see all of the inspiration from the rest of the SS Design Team as well as the above challenge sites- beautiful galleries from all!

To create this card:

Die cut the onesie die from Welcome Baby Bundle out of the light green patterned paper from It’s A Girl paper pad.

Die cut the bib from the animal patterned paper, centering the bib over the little deer.

Layer the two die cuts together and mount onto chipboard (or dimensional foam).

Trim a piece of the animal patterned paper to approx. 3 ¾” x 5 ⅛”, mount onto a piece of green cardstock.

Layer a strip of the designer paper onto a piece of green cardstock, adhere to the far right hand side of the front panel.

Die cut a piece of coral  designer paper with a large circle die, mount onto a die cut circle from green cardstock.

Trim a far right hand side of the layered circle and mount onto the card front.

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp the sentiment “Welcome Little One” onto the prepared panel with archival black ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Die cut the sentiments with the Fishtail Sentiment Banners dies, mount onto green cardstock (also die cut from green cardstock).

Layer the die cut sentiments onto the card front, trimming off the far right edge.

Add the ¼” white lace and mount the die cut layered onesie.

Adhere a few pearls to the upper left hand area of the circle die cut and mount the card front to the white card base to finish off the card.

I think the colors on this card are neutral enough that it could be for a girl or boy, don’t you?

Welcome Baby- Perfect Gift From Above

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing a card designed with the new Welcome Baby Bundle along with the Echo Park Cupid & Co 6x6 Paper Pad  plus additional dies/other supplies (from Stamp Simply)!

I love the new Welcome Baby stamp set as well as the sweet Welcome Baby Basics die set- both included in the Welcome Baby Bundle

The Welcome Baby Bundle bundle coordinates with the previously released Baptism and More stamp set and is available as a trio set as well-  Welcome Baby and Beyond Bundle!

This week we are celebrating the new release by sharing cards created this new bundle- I hope you have a chance to check out the Stamp Simply blog!  Such cute cards and inspiration from the rest of our
Design Team!

I thought the colors and patterns in the Echo Park Cupid & Co 6x6 Paper Pad  would be perfect for a pink floral card for a new little girl in your life! Plus, I had to add lace, ribbon, and a pearl- a girl must have her frills and jewelry, right?

I will be participating with the Wednesday Watercooler Challenge WWC318 Kath's All About Occasions  and the Word Art Wednesday #495-#496 "Anything Goes" Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to visit the Stamp Simply blog or the other challenge sites yet, I encourage you to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Using the Darice Wire Fence embossing folder, emboss a piece of light pink cardstock.  Trim to 4” x 5 ¼” and mount onto a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of white cardstock.

Add a piece of white lace across the panel along with a strip of moss seam binding (wrapping the ends of the seam binding behind the panel).

Mount the panel onto a white card base.

Die cut the medium oval from the Hemstitch Oval Dies, stamp the sentiment from the new Welcome Baby stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat set with a heat tool.

Adhere the oval die cut to the card front (overlapping the ribbon and lace).

Die cut the “onsie” die from the Welcome Baby Basics from a floral piece and the little heart from a solid red piece of paper from the Echo Park Cupid & Co 6x6 Paper Pad.

Die cut the bib from white cardstock and layer all together (I also die cut an additional “onsie” from white cardstock to mount behind the entire image to give it additional strength).

Mount the layered die cut onto the card front with dimensional foam (or chipboard).

Add the moss green seam binding bow and pearl to the center of the heart to finish off the card.

Welcome Little Miss Croghan Blog Hop

Hi Friends!

Today is a special day- Lesley and Corey Croghan are expecting their first child, a baby girl and we are having a "Welcome Little Miss Croghan" blog hop in her honor!! Lesley is not only a wonderful person, wife, friend and card designer, but she is also the creator of many card challenge blog sites !! She truly is an inspiration to all of us!

I have known Lesley for several years now and started off Guest Designing on The Paper Players, become a regular designer on the Dynamic Duos DT and am currently designing on The Card Concept DT.  She is very supportive and encouraging- such a joy to know and I am so thrilled to be able to be part of the “Little Miss Croghan” Blog Hop!  Congratulations Lesley and Corey!!

Since I love to participate in online challenges, I incorporated the Splitcoaststampers'CC594 Color Challenge along with the SC633 Sketch Challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday "Use More than One Die or Punch" Challenge into my "Welcome Baby" card for Lesley.

If you have any questions on how to create this card, please let me know.  We are hoping that you will take a moment to hop along with all of us and you can see the rest of the cards in the blog hop here.
