DD94 Vintage Honeybee Love

Hi Stampers!

It’s time for the DD94 “Black Tie” Week Dynamic Duo Challenge combining Basic Black with More Mustard and for dessert, Dry Embossing.    These colors remind me of honeybees so I knew I would have to create a vintage bee card:-)

I hope that you will find the time to stop by and check out the rest of the fabulous Dynamic Duos Design Team projects and create one of your own using this week’s colors - we would love to have you join us!!

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of More Mustard cardstock.  Distress the edges using the Distressing Tool and use a sewing machine to stitch around the edges and adhere to a piece of Basic Black cardstock.

Adhere pieces of Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (DSP) to pieces of Basic Black cardstock and using a Sponge Dauber to apply More Mustard Classic Ink to the DSP.
Emboss two pieces of Basic Black cardstock with the Big Shot™ and the Pretty Print Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, distress the edges with the Distressing Tool
Position the panels onto the Honeycomb embossed background and sew around the edges with the sewing machine.  Add the lace (from the retired Artisan Embellishments kit) along with the 5/8” Gold Satin Ribbon.

Using Banner Blast, stamp the Love banner and chevron images using Basic Black Classic Ink onto More Mustard cardstock, punch out using the Banner Punch and adhere to the lower right hand panel.

Adhere the focal image (DSP from Graphic 45 French Country) onto Basic Black cardstock and again onto More Mustard cardstock.  Distress the edges using the Distressing Tool and mount the focal image onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals® and adhere the entire panel onto the card base.

Create a triple satin bow from the 5/8” Gold Satin Ribbon and adhere to the upper left hand corner of the focal panel.  Add the Basic Black button to the bow and Pearls to finish off the card.

 Stamp Sets:  Banner Blast
Ink: Basic Black, More Mustard
Paper/Cardstock:  Basic Black, More Mustard, Modern Medley DSP, Graphic 45 French Country DSP
Accessories: Big Shot™, Pretty Print and Honeycomb Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders, Banner Punch, Distressing Tool, Sponge Dauber, Pearls, Sewing Machine, retired Artisan Embellishment Kit lace, 5/8” Gold Satin Ribbon (from my stash)

Thanks again for taking the time to visit- I hope you can join in the fun with our DD94 Dynamic Duos “BlackTie” Challenge!

This is my favorite of your bee cards yet. The gold/mustard colour works really well for a vintage feel, and that Graphic 45 image is perfect, too. Love all the variety by the DT this week!
