Stamp Simply August 2024 Release- Boho Pumpkins

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing a card designed with the brand new Boho Pumpkins Bundle from the Boho Fall Release at Stamp Simply!

I am looking forward to the upcoming fall season and the new stamp sets in the Boho Fall Release are perfect for fall, Thanksgiving as well as year-round cards!

This card was fairly easy to create with a bit of layering and still fairly flat for mailing.

To create this card:

Using the Sizzix 3D Lumber Embossing Folder, emboss a piece of white cardstock, trim to approx. 4” x 5 ¼”, mount onto a piece of black cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of sage cardstock.

Adhere the background panel to a white card base and add a strip of designer paper to the left hand side of the inside panel.

Trim a piece of the sage green checked pattern designer paper to approx. 3” x 3”, layer onto black cardstock and trim close to the edge.

Add the twine strips and bow (wrapping the ends behind the panel) before adhering to the card front.

De-static a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp the pumpkin image from Boho Pumpkins Bundle with Versafine Black Onyx ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Watercolor the pumpkin image with distress inks, watercolor pencils, and pastel pencils.

Once satisfied with the coloring, die cut the image with the coordinating Boho Pumpkins Bundle die (cutting an additional pumpkin image to layer behind the colored image for thickness).

De-static a piece of black cardstock with an embossing powder, ink the sentiment “Gather Together” with Versamark ink and stamp separately onto the prepared cardstock, apply white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Die cut the sentiments with the Fishtail Sentiment Banners Die (trimming off a bit on the end as needed).

Adhere the “Gather” and “Together” sentiment directly to the card front.

To finish off the card, mount the layered pumpkin die cut to the card front with dimensional foam.

I enjoy playing along with online challenges and will be linking this card to the Just Add Ink #713 Choose Two (I used Heat Embossing and Dry Embossing), the Make My Monday #231 Colouring Mediums  (I used distress inks, watercolor pencils and pastel pencils) and the Word Art Wednesday #659-#660 “Anything Goes” Challenge.

Love the Lord Your God

Hi Friends!

This week at the Stamp Simply blog, the Stamp Simply Design Team have been sharing cards to replenish their stash.  I am not sure if you have a stash of cards, but I like to keep cards on hand to mail out whenever there is a need, especially ones with Scripture on the front.

If you have not had a chance to check out my Sister DT cards yet, I hope you will do so- wonderful inspiration from all!

Fall is on the horizon here on the East Coast of the US, so I decided to pull out the Floral Cluster- Fall Flowers and Love stamp sets and paired them with a scrap piece of designer paper and scrap piece of lace, all from Stamp Simply!

This card was fairly quick and easy to create:

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the verse sentiment from the Love stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black, stamp onto the prepared cardstock, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Add the strip of Welcome Autumn designer paper and adhere a strip of the White 1 ½” Raschel Lace onto the edge of the designer paper.  FYI- I like how this lace has a satin embroidered center with the lace on both sides, perfect for finishing off the raw edge of the strip of designer paper.

Mount the entire panel to a white card base.

Ink the sunflower cluster image from the Floral Cluster- Fall Flowers stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder (as in the step above for the sentiment).

Once the embossing has cooled, color the image with water-based markers.

Die cut the floral image with the coordinating die from the Floral Cluster and Sprigs die.

Also cut two additional floral shapes from white cardstock to layer behind the colored image (FYI- this will make the floral image thicker almost like chipboard).  Adhere to the card front with dimensional foam.

Finish off the card with split pea rhinestones.

As many of you who follow my blog know, I enjoy playing along with online challenges and am linking my card to the Word Art Wednesday #603-#604 “Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to stop by the Stamp Simply blog yet, I hope you will do so.  Fabulous inspiration from the rest of the Stamp Simply Design Team as well as inspiration at Word Art Wednesday.

His Love Endures Forever

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing a quick fall card designed with stamps, dies and other supplies from Stamp Simply.

I love the colors of Autumn as well as the leaves, pumpkins and other elements that remind us of the cozy days ahead and the future winter months to come.

I enjoy participating with online challenges and will be playing along with the SimonMonday Fabulous Fall Mood Board Challenge, the Simon Wednesday Fall Color Challenge and the Double Trouble Challenge #122 Fall Colors- Leafin’ Up to You Challenge.

If you have not already had a chance to do so, I hope you visit the Stamp Simply blog to see all the beautiful inspiration from the rest of the SS Design Team as well as the above challenge sites- wonderful projects from all!

To create this card:

Trim the gingham piece of designer paper from the Carta Bella Welcome Autumn 6x6 Paper Pack to 4” x 5 ¼”.

Add the horizontal strips of the Carta Bella Welcome Autumn designer paper (I used scraps from another project), trim the ends and mount the panel onto a piece of white cardstock.

Trim and mount onto a piece of black cardstock before adhering to the white card base.

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the verse sentiment from the Give Thanks clear stamp set using Versafine Black Onyx ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, die cut the sentiment with the Spellbinders Elegant Ovals Dies.

Ink the pumpkin image from the Welcome Fall bundle with Versafine Black Onyx ink, heat set the ink with a heat tool.

Using watercolor pencils, watercolor the pumpkin image (heat setting the color with a heat tool).

Use the coordinating die from the Welcome Fall bundle to die cut the pumpkin (also die cutting another pumpkin from plain white cardstock).  Layer the colored image onto the blank die cut creating a thicker die cut.

Mount the sentiment oval onto the card front with dimensional foam and add the die cut pumpkin.

Finish off the card with black rhinestones.

Always Something to Be Grateful For

Hi Friends!

I am having so much fun creating fall cards this month! I have created another quick and easy fall card (using the same stamps and paper as my fall card last week) to share with you today.

Lately, when I create a card, I am making an effort to stamp/color several of the main images so I can create more than one card with that stamp set.

This simple card uses the leaf image from the  Stamp Simply Clear Stamps- Give Thanks Bundle  along with a cut-a-part from the new Carta Bella Welcome Autumn 6x6 paper pad (all from Stamp Simply )!

As many of you who follow my blog know, I am slowly making a card for each of the over 850+ Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenges and was able to incorporate the SC165 Sketch into the layout (this sketch was from 2009)- so thrilled that their sketch challenges do not expire, lol!

I am also playing along with the Simon Says Monday “Dry Embossing” Challenge, Simon Says Wednesday “Add A Sentiment” Challenge and the  Word Art Wednesday #505-#506 “Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to visit the Stamp Simply blog or the other challenge sites yet, I encourage you to do so- wonderful inspiration from all!

Also, don’t forget- Stamp Simply also has a special August promotion!

To create this card:

Ink the oak leaf image from the Give Thanks Bundle using Versafine Onyx Black ink, stamp onto white cardstock and heat set the ink with a heat tool.

Color the image with watercolor pencils and once satisfied with the water color, die cut the leaf with the matching die from the Give Thanks Bundle

Die cut two additional leaf shapes from white cardstock, adhere together and add the colored leaf die cut on top (this gives the die-cut additional strength, almost like a chipboard piece).

Once layered, use a clear glitter marker to add shimmer to the leaf image and set aside to dry thoroughly.

Use the Darice Wire Fence embossing folder to emboss a piece of white cardstock, trim to approx. 4” x 5 ¼” and mount onto a piece of black cardstock.

Mount the panel onto a white card base.

Trim the piece of Carta Bella Welcome Autumn 6x6 Paper for the lower left hand panel, mount onto black cardstock and trim close to the edge.  Mount directly onto the card front.

Trim the cut-a-part “There is always Something to be Grateful For” from the  Carta Bella Welcome Autumn 6x6 Paper , mount onto black cardstock (trimming close to the edge) and adhere directly onto the card front.

To finish off the card, mount the colored die cut leaf image to the card front using dimensional foam.

Stamp Sets:  Give Thanks Bundle  (Stamp Simply)

Ink/Mediums: Versafine Onyx Black, Derwent and Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils- Browns, Reds, Black; Zig Wink of Stella Brush- Clear Glitter Marker

Cardstock/Paper: White, Black; Carta Bella Welcome Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad

Accessories/Tools: Gemini, Jr., Stamp Simply Steel Dies- Give Thanks (also part of the Give Thanks Bundle), Darice Embossing Folder- Wire Fence

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by and visit!  I hope all of you have a blessed week, sweet friends- we have so much to be grateful for!
