Blessed Is The One

 

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing another quick fall card designed with the Falling Leaves Border Strip and Blessings/Beautitudes 1 stamp sets along with the Craft Consortium Sunset Ink Drops Paper, twine- all from Stamp Simply!

This card is so easy to create- just stamps, ink, a bit of embossing, designer paper and twine!

I have mentioned in previous posts that I have a personal goal to try to create a card for each of the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenges (now at over 1,000) and for this card, I used the SC248 Sketch for the layout.

I am also playing along with the Word Art Wednesday #663-#664 Anything Goes Challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday “STAMP IT” Challenge.

To create this card:

De-static a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of the orange Sunset Ink Drops paper with an embossing powder tool, ink the Falling Leaves Border Strip stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink, stamp onto the prepared cardstock, add clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool (I love how the colors of the ink drops paper are perfect for the fall leaves).

Repeat the above steps for the second border strip image.

Cut the border strip images apart and mount onto a piece of 3” x 5 ⅜” black cardstock.

Adhere the panel to a 4 ⅛” x 5 ⅜” piece of white cardstock.

Wrap the three stands of black bakers twine over the panel (adhering the ends behind the panel) and mount onto a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of black cardstock.

Mount the entire panel onto a white card base.

Adhere a scrap piece of the Sunset Ink Drops paper (approx. 1" x 5 ¼” ) to the inside left hand side of the card base ( I like to do this to use up scraps :-)).

Create a bow from the black bakers twine and adhere to the card front.

De-static a white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the Proverbs 16:20 verse from the Blessings/Beatitudes 1 stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink, stamp onto the prepared cardstock, add clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Carefully trim the verse sentiment apart, mount each part onto black cardstock, trim close to the edge.

Mount onto the card front with dimensional foam to finish off the card.

Today I am sharing a quick and easy card using the new stamp set, Falling Leaves Border Strip for the sentiment, the new Craft Consortium Monochrome Ink Drops 6x6 paper along with other dies and supplies from Stamp Simply.

As many of you who follow my blog, I have a personal goal to create a card using each of the over 900+ sketches from Splitcoaststampers.  For this card, I used the SC655 sketch for the layout.

I am also playing along with the Simon Says Wednesday “Anything Goes” Challenge.

To create this card:

De-static a piece of gray cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the sentiment from the Falling Leaves Border Strip set with Versamark™ ink, apply copper embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Trim the panel, mount onto white cardstock, trim and mount onto copper cardstock.

Trim a piece of the Monochrome Ink Drops paper to approx. 2 ¾” x 5 ½”.  Mount onto white cardstock, trim and mount onto copper cardstock.

Emboss a piece of gray cardstock with the 3D Texture Fades Leaves embossing folder.

Apply copper shimmer paint over the embossed panel, trim and mount onto white cardstock, trim again and mount onto a piece of 4 ¼” x 5 ½” copper cardstock.

Adhere the entire panel onto a white card base.

Add the monochrome ink drop panel allowing part of the panel to overlap the top of the card.

Die cut the large leaf from the Tim Holtz Skeletal Leaves Die from copper cardstock. Mount the leaf die cut onto the monochrome panel (trimming off part of the stem).

Adhere the sentiment panel with dimensional foam to finish off the card.

Stamp Simply 2022 Fall Release- Falling Leaves

 Hi Friends!

Welcome to the Fall 2022 Release from Stamp Simply!  I love the images and sentiments in both of sets as well as the word die- they are so versatile!

When I first saw the images, I knew that I wanted to create a Clean and Simple set of cards with a sunset background (see this post for the second card).  

To create this card:  Using distress oxide ink and a blending brush (see colors below), blend the colors for the background onto a piece of white cardstock. 

Once you are satisfied with the background, de-static the panel with an embossing powder tool, ink the leaf strip image with Versafine Onyx Black ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool (I actually stamped two on the panel and created a third card that I will share shortly). 

Trim the stamped leaf image panel, mount onto black cardstock. 

Ink the “With Gratitude” sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink and stamp onto a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of white cardstock (Tip- use a sticky note to cover up the word “gratitude”, ink the stamp, remove the sticky note and stamp onto the white cardstock). 

Mount onto a piece of 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of black cardstock and mount onto a white card base.

Die cut the Sympathy word die from black cardstock (I die cut two and adhered them together to create a bit thicker die cut). 

Mount to the card front below the leaf panel and add a few black rhinestones.

Use a clear glitter marker to add shimmer to the leaves and the die cut sentiment.

Welcome to the Fall 2022 Release from Stamp Simply!  As I mentioned in my previous posts, I love the images and sentiments as well as the new Sympathy word die!

This is the second card that I designed using the remaining half of the ink blended panel that I created in the previous Falling Leaves Border Strip card (see this post). 

To create this card:  Using distress oxide ink and a blending brush (see colors below), blend onto white cardstock. 

Once you are satisfied with the background, de-static the panel with an embossing powder tool, ink the leaf strip image with Versafine Onyx Black ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool. 

Ink the “With Gratitude” sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink and emboss with the same steps as above. 

Trim the stamped leaf image panel, mount onto black cardstock. 

Mount onto a piece of black cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of white cardstock.

Trim and mount onto a black card front and adhere to a white card base. 

Add a few black rhinestones and finish off the card with a clear glitter marker adding shimmer to the leaves.
