HYCCT1410 I’m Here For You

Hi Again Stampers!

Here is another card created for the Splitcoaststampers HopeYou Can Cling To Annual Card drive- this Clean and Simple (CAS) card was created for HYCCT1410 Ashjoy aka Joyce’s  “Something’s Missing”  Challenge - (see the gallery here and the details here).

I used the reverse image of the die cut, plus no stamps since the sentiment was from My Digital Studio (in my stash).

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ with the Leafy Branch Die (non SU!)  to cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock.

Add the ¾” Black Satin Ribbon strip at the top of the card front and mount the entire panel onto the Whisper White card base.

Add the sentiment (previously printed from My Digital Studio) to the card front.

Add the double ribbon Gingham bow to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Friends 24-7 (MDS version)

Ink: Printer Ink- Black

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black

Accessories: Big Shot™, Leafy Branch Die (Impression Obsession), 1 3/8” Circle Punch, Satin and Gingham Ribbon (from my stash)

Thanks again for stopping by to visit- I will be sharing more of the HYCCT Challenge cards throughout the next few weeks :-)

PPA74 Happy Birthday!

Hi Stampers!

Tomorrow is my husband’s birthday and I wanted to create a card that had a more masculine feel (i.e. no pearls or glitter :-)) and I decided to use this week’s Pals Paper Arts PPA74 Celebrity Sketch Challenge (http://www.palspaperarts.com/).

This card is quick and easy, although it was difficult not to use my Big Shot:-)  I chose the Friends 24-7 set for two reasons- first, we love watching birds together and second, he is my best friend 24-7 for almost 28 years now!  I love him so much- I hope he likes this card!
To create this card:

First, de-static a piece of River Rock with the Embossing Buddy and stamp the bird image from Friends 24-7 in Versamark, then in Night of Navy Classic Ink.  Heat emboss with Clear Embossing Powder (EP).  Sponge the edges with Night of Navy and layer onto Night of Navy and Very Vanilla cardstock.

Stamp the flourish image onto the DSP and sponge the edges with Night of Navy.  Adhere the 1 ¼” Night of Navy Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

Stamp the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto River Rock, punch out with the Curly Label XL Punch and sponge the edges with Night of Navy.  Use the same punch to punch out a piece of Vary Vanilla to back behind the sentiment.  Adhere to the back of the focal image and attach to the card.

Stamp Sets:  Friends 24-7, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Night of Navy, River Rock, Very Vanilla, DSP (retired)
Ink:  Night of Navy, Versamark
Accessories: Embossing Buddy, Heat Gun, Clear EP, Curly Label XL Punch, 1 ¼” Night of Navy Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Thanks again for visiting- I hope you have a wonderful week!

Friends 24-7

Hi Stampers!
Today’s card was created for this week’s Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge (see http://www.stamping411.blogspot.com/ for the great Design Team samples and all of the gorgeous entries).

To create this card:

Cut the Designer Paper into four sections 3/4” wide x 4” high and mount these layers onto a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock.

Emboss a piece of River Rock using the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper EF and lightly distress with Early Espresso Classic Ink using a Sponge Dauber.   Mount the previously created DP layer onto the embossed River Rock layer and set aside.

With the Big Shot and the Top Note Die, cut one piece from River Rock and the other from Early Espresso.  Trim the River Rock Top Note shape along the perforated edge and lightly sand to smooth the edges.

Stamp the bird image from Friends 24-7 into Versamark Ink and then into Early Espresso Classic Ink.  Heat emboss with Clear EP.  Ink the En Francais background stamp with Early Espresso and stamp over the bird image.  Lightly wipe off the ink from the bird image and layer this piece over the Early Espresso Top Note.

Stamp the sentiment with Early Espresso Classic Ink onto River Rock.  Using the Curly Label Punch, punch out the sentiment and also punch out one in Early Espresso.  Cut the Early Espresso in half and trim the edges at the top point so only the east-west sides of this darker layer show the when mounted below the River Rock sentiment layer.

Mount the Top Note layer onto the DP layer and add the sentiment with SU! Dimensionals .  Spray the entire card with Frost White Shimmer Paint (mixed with 70% alcohol).

Mount the entire layer onto Early Espresso, attach the bow and add the pearls.

Stamp Sets:  Friends 24-7, En Francais, Watercolor Trio
Cardstock:  Early Espresso, River Rock, retired DP
Ink: Versamark, Early Espresso
Accessories: Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper EF, Top Note Die,  Clear EP,  Sanding Block, 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, Curly Label Punch, Pearls, Dimensionals

Thanks again for visiting- have a blessed week!

CC287 Two Cards- One Challenge

Blessing My Life...

I decided to stamp a few cards tonight using the colors from the Splitcoast Stampers Color Challenge #CC287 Concord Parfait Pizzazz – see http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/color-combinations-f43/cc287-concord-parfait-pizzazz-t505188.html for more details.

The first card utilizes the technique called “Rock –n- Roll” with Upsy Daisy, along with some of my "old" favorite tools.

I stamped the scroll design from Friends 24-7 in Peach Parfait on a piece of the Pear Pizzazz DP (from the 2010 In colors Hostess Pack). After stamping the Upsy Daisy stamp in Peach Parfait, I rolled the edges with Concord Crush- also sponged a bit of Concord Crush with a sponge dauber for dimension.

Tore the edge with The Tearing Edge™, sponged all the edges with Concord Crush and added a torn edge of Pear Pizzazz. Mounted this entire layer on a piece of Concord Crush DP (from the same Hostess Pack).

Using the Color Spritzer Tool with the Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait markers, I “spritzed” the background area and for the final step, sprayed with Frost White Shimmer Paint mist.

I used the Crimper Tool with a small piece of Pear Pizzazz, layered it with the new Victoria Crochet Trim along with one of the new Antique Brads for the bottom layer piece.  Stamped the sentiment from Herbal Expressions (I love the expressions in this set) and “huffed” on the previously inked scroll stamp from Friends 24-7. I used the Large Oval punch, sponged the edges with Concord Crush and added a few pearls in the corner for the final touch- I just love those pearls:-).

Stamp Sets: Upsy Daisy, Friends 24-7, Herbal Expressions
Cardstock: Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz
Ink: Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: The Tearing Edge™, Crimper Tool, Color Spritzer Tool, SU! Markers, Large Oval Punch, Victoria Crochet Trim, Antique Brad, Sponge Dabers, Pearls, Frost White Shimmer Paint Mist

CC287 Happy Anniversary

While I was designing the first card, I had stamped the
bird image in Concord Crush and the same scroll stamp in Peach Parfait. I had also already distressed the edges with the 5-in-1 Tool, sponged and “spritzed” as described above.

I already had the embossed Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz layers on hand (used the Vintage Wallpaper EF) and sprayed with the Frost White Shimmer Paint Mist from a previous card. I cut a piece of Concord Crush and punched the edge with the Scallop Trim Border Punch, added the Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon and of course, more pearls:-)

I used the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Concord Crush and punched it out with the new XL Decorative Label Punch. Sponged the edges with Concord Crush and stamped the same scroll over the sentiment. Using the Large Oval Punch (from a piece of embossed Concord Crush) underneath the sentiment and layered the entire card front onto Concord Crush.

Stamp Sets: Friends 24-7, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock: Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Ink: Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper EF, Color Spritzer Tool, SU! Markers, Large Oval Punch, Sponge Dabers, Pearls, White Taffeta Ribbon, Frost White Shimmer Paint Mist

Thanks again for visiting- I hope you like these cards!  Have a great week and God Bless!
