Girl Power- Let's Do This

Hi Friends!

I hope all of you are having a great week so far! Today I am sharing another card using the May Creative Worship release stamp sets, Girl Power and Let’s Do This from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.

The possibilities with Girl Power and Let’s Do This are almost limitless!  I love that can both sets can be used for cards as well as Bible Art Journaling, scrapbooking, gifts and home décor.

If you have not had a chance to visit the above challenge sites or the SNSS Blog/FB Page yet, I encourage you to do so- wonderful inspiration from all!

To create this card:

1).  De-static a piece of white card with an embossing powder tool, ink the Girl Power image with archival black ink, stamp onto the panel, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.  Stamp another image of the girl onto a piece of scrap paper to create a mask.

2). Mask the Girl Power image and use distress oxide inks to blend the background.

3). De-static the background with an embossing powder tool, ink the Let’s Do This sentiments with embossing ink, stamp onto the prepared background, apply white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.  Sponge additional ink as needed and spritz a bit of water to create the splatters in the background.

4). Color the girl image with water based and alcohol markers. Add a bit of shimmer to her dress with a clear glitter pen.  Trim the panel and mount onto a piece of black cardstock.

5). Adhere the card front to a white card base and add a few rhinestones to finish off the card.

Let's Do This!

Hi Friends!

I am having a great time creating cards with the May release from  Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps

I used two of the new stamp sets, Refresh My Soul and Let’s Do This for this quick mixed media card. I love the images and sentiments in both of these sets- perfect for cards, scrapbooking, Bible Art Journaling, gifts and home decor!

Just a reminder, you can receive the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps May Stamp of the Month, Scripty Thoughts free with a net $75 US$ order (after all discounts and before shipping) plus any net $75 US receives free shipping!

If you have not had a chance to visit the Word Art Wednesday or the SNSS Blog/FB Page yet, I encourage you to do so- wonderful inspiration from all!

To create this card:

1). Die cut a piece of white cardstock with a stitched rectangle die, mount onto black cardstock (die cut with the next size rectangle die).  Use a stitched horizontal die to die cut a piece of designer paper and mount onto a piece of black cardstock (die cut with the next largest stitched horizontal die).  Add the horizontal layer onto the panel (I had to cut it in half to fit the card), trim the edges and mount onto a white card base.

2). Die cut a piece of black cardstock with a pierced tag die, de-static with an embossing powder tool, ink the sentiments/images from Let’s Do This with Versamark™ ink, stamp onto the prepared panel, apply white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

3). Mount the tag image to the card front with dimensional foam and add the 3/8” black and white gingham ribbon bow.

4). De-static a piece of white cardstock, stamp the cacti images from Refresh My Soul using Versafine™ Onyx Black ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.  Once the embossing cools, watercolor the images with water-based markers and fussy-cut.  Mount the cacti to the card front with dimensional foam.

5). Use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the images and a few rhinestones to finish off the card.

Ink/Mediums: Versafine™ Onyx Black, Versamark™, Zig® Clean Color Markers- Pink, Blue, Purple, Light Green, Green; Spectrum Noir™ Clear Glitter Pen

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, retired designer series paper (Stampin’ Up!)

Accessories: Big Shot™, MFT Dies- Stitched A2 Rectangles Set 1 & Set 2, Horizontal Stitched Strips STAX; Embossing Buddy®, Clear and White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, AquaPainter™, 3/8” Black and White Checked Ribbon, Rhinestones
