CAS Silver Winter Trees

Hi Friends!!

I hope you are having a great weekend!!  I had a chance to play in my stamp room and created several cards for some of my favorite online challenges.

If you have not already visited the above sites, I hope you will take a moment to do so- wonderful inspiration from all!

Since the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge was showcasing Hero Arts Products, I decided to use a Hero Arts stamp that I had purchased months ago and have not had a chance to ink it up until this weekend.

To create this card:

De-static a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Embossing Buddy®.

Ink the Winter Trees stamp using Versamark™ Ink and stamp onto the Whisper White cardstock, apply Stampin’ Emboss® Silver Embossing Powder, heat set with the Heat Tool.

Trim the image and mount onto Brushed Silver cardstock, trim and mount onto Smoky Slate cardstock.

Stamp the sentiment from Peonies & Tulips (Power Poppy) using Smoky Slate Classic Ink onto a Whisper White cardstock panel, trim the panel and mount onto Smoky Slate card base.

Mount the Winter Tree image onto the card front using dimensional foam.

Add a few Rhinestones to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Winter Trees (Hero Arts), Peonies & Tulips (Power Poppy)

Ink:  Versamark™, Smoky Slate

Paper: Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Brushed Silver

Accessories: Embossing Buddy®, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Emboss® Silver Embossing Powder, Rhinestones

Thanks again for visiting- I hope you can visit again soon!  Hugs and have a blessed weekend, my friends!

Happy Birthday- Shabby Chic Autumn Peonies

Hi Stampers!

Hopefully you will have a chance to visit the above mentioned challenge sites- there are so many wonderful Design Teams samples and entries!

In an effort to spend more time creating, I will not list the step by step details of this card- it is fairly easy to create (but a bit time consuming :-))

This card utilizes watercolor techniques with Stampin’ Write markers (scribbled onto a craft mat or acrylic block and painted with a water brush) for the blossoms, direct marker for the leaves, shadow from a "goof" on the focal image circle (this step could be omitted- lol!), fussy-cutting for the focal image, Banners created with punches and dry embossing, a backgground stamp, distressing for the edges and a stitched circle die along with Pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Gorgeous Grunge, Bella Toile (retired SU! background),  Peonies  & Tulips (Power Poppy)

Ink: Memento™ Tuxedo Black, Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe; Stampin’ Write Markers- Blackberry Bliss, Delightful Dijon, Old
Olive, Tangelo Twist, Tip Top Taupe; Faber-Castell® White Gel Pen

Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss, Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe; retired Moonlight Designer Series Paper (DSP)

Accessories: Big Shot™, Honeycomb Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, MFT Stitched Circle Die, Punches- Banner Triple, Hexagon, Distressing Tool, 3/8” Stitched Blackberry Bliss Satin Ribbon, Pearls

If you have any questions, please let me know in the comment section... I truly appreciate your visits and comments- they are such an encouragement to me :-)

Have a wonderful day- hugs and God Bless!

Botanical Tea Thinking of You- A Color and A Sketch

Hi Stampers!

I had a chance to play around in my craft room last night and decided to create two cards using the Just Us Girls JUGS289 Color Week Challenge along with a different Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge.

I will post the cards in separate posts and this card incorporates the SC532 Sketch- see details here and the gallery here.

If you have not had a chance to do so, I hope you will find the time to visit the above sites- they have wonderfully diverse Design Team samples as well as inspiration from their galleries!

To create this card:

Using Early Espresso Classic Ink, stamp the sentiment from the Peonies & Tulips Dynamic Duos from Power Poppy© by Marcella Hawley onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punch out with the Word Window Punch.

Layer onto another frame created from two pieces of Early Espresso cardstock punched from the Word  Window Punch and layered to be just a bit wider than the sentiment.

Trim the Graphic 45® Botanical Tea cut-apart and mount onto a piece of Soft Suede cardstock.

Trim the striped Botanical Tea background paper and mount onto a piece of Soft Suede cardstock, trim again and mount onto the a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
Trim the blue patterned Botanical Tea background paper and mount onto a piece of Soft Suede cardstock.

Add the blue vertical panel to the striped background, add the strip of 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon and mount the entire background panel onto the Soft Suede card base.

Add the 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Double Ribbon Bow to the focal image panel and mount onto card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Use the Big Shot™ with the My Favorite Things® (MFT) Royal Mini Rose dies to cut out the roses from retired Baja Breeze cardstock, run through the Crimper Tool to soften the paper, roll up and adhere with adhesive (I used Hot Glue).

Add the rolled roses with the Early Espresso leaves to the card front and mount the sentiment with a Stampin’ Dimensional® under the edge that hangs off the focal image panel.

Add the Pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Peonies & Tulips (Power Poppy©)

Ink: Early Espresso

Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, retired  Baja Breeze; Graphic 45® Botanical Tea

Accessories: Big Shot™, MFT Royal Mini Roses Die, Punches- Word Window, Leaf (MS), retired 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, Pearls

Thanks again for stopping by- I will share the second card created for the same color challenge (with a different highlight color and sketch) shortly :-)

Have a terrific Thursday evening, my friends!
