SC619 Faith, Love and Hope

Hi Friends!

I hope all of you are having a great week so far!  It’s time for the new Splitcoaststampers’ SC619 Sketch Challenge and I decided to incorporate the SCS TLC612 “Sentiment Backgrounds” Challenge as well the Sunday Stamps SSC139 “Autumn Splendor” Challenge.

If you have not already visited the above challenge sites yet, I hope you will have a chance to do so- fabulous inspiration from my DT Sisters at the SCS Sketch Gallery as well as the other challenge sites!

To create this card:

Ink the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Faith Quote Blocks Clear Stamp image with aged maghogany distress ink and stamp repeatedly onto a piece of crumb cake cardstock (I used my MISTI® Tool for placement of the images).

Cut a piece of designer paper (I used one from my stash) on an angle for the sketch, adhere with just a bit of adhesive to keep the paper in place onto the kraft background.

Use a zig zag stitch on a sewing machine to adhere the layers, mount onto a piece of Dijon cardstock , trim and use the sewing machine to mount onto a piece of burgundy cardstock.

Mount the entire panel onto the white card base.

Ink and stamp the sunflower images from SNSS Prim Blessings Clear Stamp Set with embossing ink onto white cardstock, apply black embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once cooled, color the images with a water brush and distress ink- I used Wild Honey, Ground Espresso and Walnut Stain and added additional shadows to the sunflower petals with a Stampin’ Write Delightful Dijon marker (blending with the water brush).

Fussy cut the images, split the one large sunflower for the sketch element and mount onto the card front ( I used hot glue to adhere the flowers- they are not going anywhere, lol!).

Ink the sentiment from the SNSS Prim Blessings Clear Stamp Set with archival black ink a and stamp onto kraft cardstock.

Create the banner points (I used a hexagon punch), mount onto burgundy cardstock and add to the card front with dimensional foam.
Color the little hearts with a burgundy marker and add the burgundy twine with the Dijon button to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Prim Blessings, Faith Block Quotes (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)

Ink/Medium: Versamark™, Basic Black Archival Ink, Distress Inks- Wild Honey, Ground Espresso, Walnut Stain; Stampin’ Write Marker- Delightful Dijon and retired Bravo Burgundy

Cardstock/Designer Paper:  Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Delightful Dijon, retired Bravo Burgundy

Accessories/Tools:  Sewing Machine, White Thread, AquaPainter™, retired Hexagon Punch (SU!), retired Red Hemp Twine, retired Hello Honey button

Thanks again for taking the time to visit- I hope you can gather your supplies and join us for the SC619 Sketch Challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week!

Hugs and have a great week, my friends!
