Just Believe- My Grace is Sufficient

Hi Friends!

I am finally having a chance to upload some of the cards that I designed recently and this card uses a set by Altenew, Just Because and a verse from the retired Verve stamp set, Scripture Medley 4.

I am still working on inking up stamps that I have not inked before- this is only the second card that I have created with this image from the Just Believe stamp set and I do not recall ever inking up this particular verse sentiment from the Verve set.

This was a very simple card to design- I stamped all of the images in a black archival ink and colored the florals with alcohol markers.

Once I was satisfied with the colors, I used a clear glitter pen on the petals of the flowers and an extra fine white paint pen to add highlights.

Trimmed the panel and mounted onto black cardstock before adhering to a white card base- quick and easy!  Compared to my normal layering, distressing, etc. style, this is Clean and Simple (CAS) for me.

I wanted to participate with a few online challenges so I am linking this card to the Retro Rubber Blog Challenge #134 “Spring Flowers” and the CAS on Friday #179 “Use Your Fav Flower Stamp”- this Altenew floral stamp set is fast becoming one of my favs and the main floral panel is all one layer :-)

The Retro Rubber Challenge Blog requires that you use stamps that are at least a year or more older- the Altenew, Just Because set is from 2018 and the Verve Scripture Medley 4 stamp set is from 2017.

Stamp Sets: Just Because (Altenew), Scripture Medley 4 (retired Verve Stamps)

Ink/Mediums: Versafine™ Onyx Black, Spectrum Noir™ Alcohol Markers- OR1, LG3, CG1, CG3, DP2, DP3, VB2, AP2, BGR1; Spectrum Noir™ Glitter Pen, Extra Fine White Paint Pen

Thanks again for taking the time to visit- hugs and I hope you have a blessed week!

TCC134 Love the Lord Your God

Hi Friends!

I have another card that I created for The Card Concept #134 {Mother’s Day} Challenge!

I was so inspired by the bouquet of flowers that I wanted to create a Clean and Simple card using an Altenew stamp set, Just Believe along with a sentiment from the Scripture Collection 9 from Divinity Designs LLC.

FYI- I have not had a chance to ink up this verse sentiment from the Scripture Collection 9 set in at least a few years and this is one of the cards that I created with the Altenew Just Believe set (which was a fairly recent purchase -six months ago or so.  The wonky rectangle die from My Favorite Things was also a recent purchase.

To create this card:

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool.  Ink the flower image  and sentiment with Versafine™ Onyx Black ink , stamp onto the prepared cardstock, apply clear embossing powder and heat emboss with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, watercolor the floral image with water-based markers.
Die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die, mount onto black cardstock and adhere to the white card base.

Add a bit of shimmer to the flower petals with a clear glitter pen to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Just Believe (Altenew), Scripture Collection 9 (Divinity Designs LLC)

Ink/Mediums: Versafine™ Onyx Black, Stampin’ Write Markers-Berry Burst, Petal Pink, Lemon Lime Twist; Spectrum Noir™ Clear Glitter Pen

Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black

Tools/Accessories: Gemini, Jr™, MFT Wonky Rectangle Stitched STAX Dies, Embossing Buddy®, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, AquaPainter™

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by!  I hope I have inspired you to create your own card based on our {Mother’s Day} photo and link up to our gallery at The Card Concept- we would love to see what inspired you! The challenge is open until May 11th  at noon EST.

TCC131 Woodland Nursery

Hi Friends!

I just love the sweet animal images on this inspiration photo, don’t you?  I do not have a need for many baby cards but I wanted to create a few for my “stash” (most of mine are now for the grandparents versus the parents since my age group is no longer having babies, lol!).

I had purchased this Bo Bunny set over a year ago and thought it would be perfect for this challenge.  I am still working on the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenges and used the SC777 Sketch for the layout.

I had fun creating this card:

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool.  Position the animal stamp images into a MISTI™ stamping tool (or use an acrylic block), ink with Versafine™ Onyx Black ink, stamp onto the prepared cardstock, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, watercolor the images using watercolor pencils and water-based markers.  Layer onto black cardstock, fussy-cut and set aside.

Die cut the square openings on a piece of gray cardstock and emboss with a woodgrain embossing folder.

Mount the embossed/die cut panel onto a piece of white cardstock.  Mount the entire panel onto a piece of black cardstock before adhering to the white card base.

Heat emboss the sentiments images (Baby Zoo- Altenew) onto black cardstock with white embossing powder, trim and mount onto the card front using dimensional foam (or, I prefer, scrap pieces of chipboard).

Add the animal images (also with chipboard or dimensional foam).

Use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to their cheeks and finish off the card with a few silver sequins.

Stamp Sets:  Forest Friends (Bo Bunny), Baby Zoo (Altenew)

Ink/Mediums: Versafine™ Onyx Black, Stampin’ Write Markers- Smoky Slate Flirty Flamingo, Dusty Durango; Derwent™ Watercolor Pencils; Spectrum Noir™ Clear Glitter Pen

Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black (both Stampin’ Up!), misc. gray patterned paper from my stash

Tools/Accessories: Gemini, Jr™, MFT Stitched Square STAX Dies, Embossing Buddy®, Clear & White Embossing Powder, retired Woodgrain Embossing Folder (Stampin’ Up!), Heat Tool, Silver Sequins

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by!  I hope I have inspired you to create your own card based on our {Woodland Nursery} photo and link up to our gallery at The Card Concept- we would love to see what inspired you! The challenge is open until Monday, March 30th  at noon EDT.
