He Has Risen!

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing another fairly quick Resurrection card using stamps, dies, paper and pearls all from Stamp Simply.  

As I mentioned before, I love all of the verses in the He Has Risen stamp set!  The fonts are gorgeous and the verses are perfect for Easter as well as throughout the year.

I decided to pair the He Has Risen stamp set with the Crosses Die and created the rolled flowers from the Craft Consortium Rose Ink Drops 6x6 paper.

To create this card:

Emboss a piece of 4 ¼” x 5 ½” white cardstock with the Sizzix 3D Embossing Lumber Folder and trim to approx. 4” x 5 ¼”.

Adhere the embossed lumber panel to a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” tent fold white card base.

De-static another piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the sentiment from He Has Risen with Versamark ink, apply gold embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, die cut the embossed sentiment with the Farmhouse Sentiment Banners Dies (I also die cut another banner the same size from white cardstock to layer behind the embossed sentiment).

Mount the sentiment to the upper portion of the card front with dimensional foam.  

Die cut the scroll from the Cinch and Go Flowers Dies from white cardstock and layer onto the card front.

Die cut the cross from gold mirror cardstock (FYI- I layered the gold cross onto two additional crosses die cut from white cardstock).

Adhere the cross to the card front with dimensional foam.

Die cut the leaves using the sprigs dies from the Floral Cluster and Sprigs Die from green cardstock and layer onto the card front.

Create three paper flowers from scrap pieces of the Rose Ink Drops paper using the Cinch and Go Flowers dies. 

Carefully “scrunch” up the die cut flower layers before adhering them together to create the flowers. 

Adhere the flowers to the card front around the cross.

Add a pearl to the center of each flower.

I hope all of you are having a wonderful week so far!

Today I am sharing another card for Easter designed with stamps, dies and paper all from Stamp Simply.  

I love the Ink Drops paper line by Craft Consortium and used a piece if the purple from the Vivid Ink Drops 6x6 paper pad for this card.

This card is very easy to create and would be a good card for multiples.

It is fairly flat for mailing so there should not be additional postage needed as well (a plus these days since postage is getting to be so expensive)!

As many of you who follow my blog know, I have a goal to create a card using each one of the over 950+ sketches at Splitcoaststampers.  I used the SC873Sketch for the layout.

I also enjoy playing along with online challenges and will be linking this card to the As You See It #318 Go Theme Go! “Let’s Get Eggy” Easter Challenge. 

To me,  Easter is all about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  His sacrifice for our sins, death on the cross and His Resurrection are the true reason for Easter.  To all of those who believe in the Lord,  Jesus Christ shall be saved and will have eternal life with Him (Acts 16:9).

I am also playing along with the Simon Says Wednesday “Anything Goes” Challenge.

To create this card:

De-static the bottom right hand area of 4” x 5 ¼” piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp the sentiment from the Salvation stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing powder has cooled, mount onto a piece of black cardstock and adhere to a white card base.

Trim a piece of the Vivid Ink Drops paper to 3 ¾” x 5”, tear along an angle and ink the edges with purple ink.

Adhere the ink drops panel to the card front.

Die cut the cross image using the largest cross from the Crosses Dies from gold mirror cardstock. 

Die cut a second cross from extra thick white cardstock to layer behind the gold die cut.

Mount the die cut cross to the card front using dimensional foam.

Quick and easy!

We Love Because He First Loved Us

I designed this quick Easter card using the Craft Consortium Ink Drops paper strips remaining from the previous set of four cards in my last post (I like to try to use every last bit of designer paper- hate wasting that gorgeous paper)!  

I enjoy playing along with online challenges and will be linking this card to the Use Your Stuff #479 Paper Strips Challenge along with the Tic-Tac-Toe #TTTC199 Featured Designer Jeanie Challenge (bottom row across Spring-Emboss-DSP). This card was designed using strips (see above) and the cross was embossed as well as the sentiment. I am also playing along with the Simon Says Monday “Emboss It” Challenge.

This card was quick and easy to put together-   

The strips are from the Craft Consortium Ink Drops paper (the new Sunset and  Rose 6x6 paper pads), the cross was die cut and embossed from the larger cross from the Stamp Simply Steel Dies- Crosses.

The sentiment from Farmhouse Scriptural Quotes was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The card was finished off by mounting onto a white card base and applying shimmer with a clear glitter pen to the cross.

Another fairly flat card for mailing and I am thrilled to have been able to use every inch of the 6x6 paper!

Mark16:15- Go Into All The World

Hi Friends!  

I am having such a great time using the Our Daily Bread Designs May 2017 Release and decided to create another card using the new Sunday School Teacher Stamp Set with the coordinating Crosses Dies, Pierced Rectangles Dies and the Chalkboard Collection 6x6 Paper Pad.  

I incorporated the Mojo Monday #496 Sketch Challenge along with the Word Art Wednesday #280-#281 “Anything Goes” Challenge into the design.

If you have not had a chance to visit the ODBD Blog or the other challenge sites yet, I hope you will find time to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!! 

To create this card:

1). Ink the cross image from Sunday School Teacher stamp set with archival black ink, stamp onto white cardstock, die cut and emboss with the Crosses Dies.  Die cut and emboss another cross with the same die from black cardstock and mount the stamped die cut onto the black die cut. 

2). Ink the sentiment from Sunday School Teacher using archival black ink and stamp onto another piece of white cardstock.  Die cut and emboss using the Pierced Rectangles Dies, mount onto black cardstock and trim close to the edge.

3). Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the largest rectangle from the Pierced Rectangles Dies, mount onto a piece of black cardstock, trim and mount onto the white card base.

4). Trim a piece of Chalkboard Collection paper and mount onto a piece of black cardstock (trimming close to the edge).

5). Create the banners from pieces of Chalkboard Collection paper (I cut the banners my hand), mount onto black cardstock and add to the back of the panel created in step 4.  Mount the layered panel directly to the card front.

6). Mount the sentiment panel onto the card with dimensional foam, adhere the cross and add a few pearls to finish off the card.
