Love One Another

Hi Friends!

I hope all of you are having a wonderful week so far!  I wanted to share another card I designed with the brand new ODBD February 2017 Release stamp set, Hugs & Kisses along with the new ODBD Layering Hearts Dies and the previously released ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies, ODBD Plum Pizzazz and ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers 6x6 Paper Collections.

I love playing along with online challenges and decided to incorporate The Paper Players PP329 Sketch Challenge into the design.

If you have not had a chance to visit the ODBD Blog yet or The Paper Players challenge site yet, I would encourage you to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

1). Trim a piece of the dark purple patterned paper from the ODBD Plum Pizzazz  Collection 6x6 Paper Pad to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and mount onto a white card base.

2). Trim a piece of white cardstock to approx. 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and mount onto the card front.

3). Die cut and emboss a piece of ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection 6x6 Paper using the ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies and mount onto the card front.

4). De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink and stamp the verse image from the ODBD Hugs & Kisses stamp set with embossing ink first, then stamp into purple distress ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.  Die cut and emboss the panel with the ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies and mount onto the card front.

5). Die cut and emboss the hearts using the ODBD Layering Hearts Dies from ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection and ODBD Whimsical Collection 6x6 Paper Pads, also die cutting the same size hearts from soft yellow cardstock, adhering the patterned paper onto the soft yellow cardstock hearts (to give the hearts a bit more thickness).  Mount the layered hearts onto the card front per the sketch.

6). Add a few silver sequins to finish off the card.

This was a fun card to create!

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by and visit- hugs and I hope I have inspired you with this Clean and Simple card!

Faith In God

Hi Friends!

I hope all of you are having a great week so far!  I had a chance to design another card using the January 2017 Our Daily Bread Designs Release His Timing Bible Journaling stamp  along with the ODBD Bitty Blossoms Dies, ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies, ODBD Lavish Layers Dies and ODBD Plum PizzazzCollection 6x6 Paper Pad.

I decided to use black and white with purple for the Paper Players PP327 Color Challenge and will also be linking this card to the Word Art Wednesday #266-#267 “Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to visit the ODBD Blog yet or the other challenge sites yet, I would encourage you to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all of my DT Sister “Bread Sticks” as well as the other galleries!

To create this card:

1). Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the largest rectangle and a piece of the ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection 6x6 Paper with a smaller rectangle using the ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies.

2). Layer the larger rectangle die cut onto a piece of black cardstock and mount onto a white card base.  Split the smaller purple rectangle die cut in half and adhere to the card front.

3). Die cut and emboss a piece of black cardstock with the largest frame and a piece of white cardstock with the layering frame from the ODBD Lavish Layers Dies. Layer the two together and add to the card front.

4). Ink the ODBD His Timing Bible Journaling stamp with embossing ink followed by archival black ink, stamp onto white cardstock and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.  Fussy cut the image, mount onto black cardstock (to add a bit of depth), fussy-cut again and mount directly onto the card front.

5). Die cut and emboss the flowers and leaves from white cardstock with the ODBD Bitty Blossoms Dies, mount onto the card front and add pearls to the flower centers to finish off the card.

I love how the ODBD His Timing Bible Journaling stamp set can be used for cards, home décor and scrapbooking in addition to Bible Journaling.

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by and visit- hugs, and have a fabulous weekend my friends!

ODBDSLC282 Reminder- Winter Happy Birthday!

Hi Friends!

Just a reminder that it is not too late to join in with us for the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light ODBDSLC282 Color Challenge!

Don’t forget- you have until Friday, February 3, 2017 to join us for a chance to be spotlighted for the Shining the Light award or to win a $15 ODBD gift certificate (one random participant will be chosen).  To be spotlighted for the Shining the Light Award, you must use ODBD stamps (or stamps from our sister companies: North Coast Creations or Artistic Outpost).

I decided to create a Clean and Simple (CAS) card showcasing a sentiment from the January 2017 ODBD Release stamp set, Seeds of Today along with the new ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers Collection 6x6 Paper and ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection 6x6 Paper as well as a few previously released ODBD Dies.

I love the patterns of the paper in both of the new ODBD Paper Collections as well as the beautiful sayings and font on the sentiments from the ODBD Seeds of Today stamp set!

I needed a winter birthday card and even though the ODBD Whimsical Wildflower Collection 6x6 Paper Pad is primarily floral, since this pattern was an overall swirled pattern, I thought that it would work with the snowflake, what do you think?

If you have not visited the rest of my ODBD Design Team Sisters’ blogs and checked out their fabulous projects yet, I hope you will find time to do so:

                        Chris   Diana  Robin

To create this card:

1). Ink the sentiment from the new ODBD Seeds of Today stamp set with blackberry ink, stamp onto white cardstock.  Die cut and emboss with the ODBD Pennant Flag Dies and mount onto a piece of ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection 6x6 Paper die cut and embossed with the ODBD Double Stitched Pennant Flag Dies.

2). Trim a piece of ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers Collection 6x6 Paper and mount onto the ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection 6x6 Paper.  Adhere the panel to a white card base.

3). Die cut and emboss a piece of ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection 6x6 Paper and two pieces of white cardstock with the ODBD Snow Crystals Dies. Layer the white die cuts with the plum snowflake on top.

4). Die cut and emboss a piece of soft yellow cardstock with the ODBD Pierced Circles Dies, mount the layered sentiment to the side of the circle and add both to the card front with dimensional foam.

5). Mount the die cut snowflake to the circle and add a rhinestone embellishment to the center.

6). Add a few rhinestones on the back panel to finish off the card.

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by!  We hope you will be able to join us for the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light ODBDSLC282 Color Challenge!  Hugs and I hope you have a fabulous week, my friends!
