Love One Another

Hi Friends!

I hope all of you are having a wonderful week so far!  I wanted to share another card I designed with the brand new ODBD February 2017 Release stamp set, Hugs & Kisses along with the new ODBD Layering Hearts Dies and the previously released ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies, ODBD Plum Pizzazz and ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers 6x6 Paper Collections.

I love playing along with online challenges and decided to incorporate The Paper Players PP329 Sketch Challenge into the design.

If you have not had a chance to visit the ODBD Blog yet or The Paper Players challenge site yet, I would encourage you to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

1). Trim a piece of the dark purple patterned paper from the ODBD Plum Pizzazz  Collection 6x6 Paper Pad to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and mount onto a white card base.

2). Trim a piece of white cardstock to approx. 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and mount onto the card front.

3). Die cut and emboss a piece of ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection 6x6 Paper using the ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies and mount onto the card front.

4). De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink and stamp the verse image from the ODBD Hugs & Kisses stamp set with embossing ink first, then stamp into purple distress ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.  Die cut and emboss the panel with the ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies and mount onto the card front.

5). Die cut and emboss the hearts using the ODBD Layering Hearts Dies from ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection and ODBD Whimsical Collection 6x6 Paper Pads, also die cutting the same size hearts from soft yellow cardstock, adhering the patterned paper onto the soft yellow cardstock hearts (to give the hearts a bit more thickness).  Mount the layered hearts onto the card front per the sketch.

6). Add a few silver sequins to finish off the card.

This was a fun card to create!

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by and visit- hugs and I hope I have inspired you with this Clean and Simple card!

ODBDSLC282 Reminder- Winter Happy Birthday!

Hi Friends!

Just a reminder that it is not too late to join in with us for the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light ODBDSLC282 Color Challenge!

Don’t forget- you have until Friday, February 3, 2017 to join us for a chance to be spotlighted for the Shining the Light award or to win a $15 ODBD gift certificate (one random participant will be chosen).  To be spotlighted for the Shining the Light Award, you must use ODBD stamps (or stamps from our sister companies: North Coast Creations or Artistic Outpost).

I decided to create a Clean and Simple (CAS) card showcasing a sentiment from the January 2017 ODBD Release stamp set, Seeds of Today along with the new ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers Collection 6x6 Paper and ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection 6x6 Paper as well as a few previously released ODBD Dies.

I love the patterns of the paper in both of the new ODBD Paper Collections as well as the beautiful sayings and font on the sentiments from the ODBD Seeds of Today stamp set!

I needed a winter birthday card and even though the ODBD Whimsical Wildflower Collection 6x6 Paper Pad is primarily floral, since this pattern was an overall swirled pattern, I thought that it would work with the snowflake, what do you think?

If you have not visited the rest of my ODBD Design Team Sisters’ blogs and checked out their fabulous projects yet, I hope you will find time to do so:

                        Chris   Diana  Robin

To create this card:

1). Ink the sentiment from the new ODBD Seeds of Today stamp set with blackberry ink, stamp onto white cardstock.  Die cut and emboss with the ODBD Pennant Flag Dies and mount onto a piece of ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection 6x6 Paper die cut and embossed with the ODBD Double Stitched Pennant Flag Dies.

2). Trim a piece of ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers Collection 6x6 Paper and mount onto the ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection 6x6 Paper.  Adhere the panel to a white card base.

3). Die cut and emboss a piece of ODBD Plum Pizzazz Collection 6x6 Paper and two pieces of white cardstock with the ODBD Snow Crystals Dies. Layer the white die cuts with the plum snowflake on top.

4). Die cut and emboss a piece of soft yellow cardstock with the ODBD Pierced Circles Dies, mount the layered sentiment to the side of the circle and add both to the card front with dimensional foam.

5). Mount the die cut snowflake to the circle and add a rhinestone embellishment to the center.

6). Add a few rhinestones on the back panel to finish off the card.

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by!  We hope you will be able to join us for the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light ODBDSLC282 Color Challenge!  Hugs and I hope you have a fabulous week, my friends!

Whimsical Wildflowers Thanks

Hi Friends!

I hope all of you are having a great week so far!  This evening I wanted to share another card that I designed using the January2017 Our Daily Bread Designs Release Thanks Die along with the new ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers Collection 6x6 Paper Pad, the previously released ODBD Leafy Edged Border Dies and the ODBD Bitty Blossoms Dies.

If you have not had a chance to visit the ODBD Blog yet or the other challenge sites yet, I would encourage you to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all of my DT Sister “Breadsticks” as well as the other galleries!

To create this card:

1). Die cut and emboss three pieces of cardstock with the ODBD Thanks Die (two from white cardstock and one from dark purple cardstock).  Layer and adhere the three together with the purple die cut in the middle.

2). Trim a piece of the ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers Collection 6x6 Paper to approx. 5” x 4”, die cut and emboss with the ODBD Leafy Edged Border Dies

3). Die cut and emboss a piece of soft yellow cardstock with the ODBD Leafy Edged Border Dies  and mount behind the ODBD Whimsical Wildflower Collection paper from step 2.

4). Mount the ODBD Whimsical Wildflower Collection panel onto a piece of dark purple cardstock, trim and mount onto the white card base.

5). Mount the ODBD Thanks Die onto the card front.

6). Die cut and emboss several flowers from white, purple and soft yellow cardstock with the ODBD Bitty Blossoms Dies.

7). Die cut and emboss a few leaves from olive cardstock using the ODBD Bitty Blossoms Dies.

8). Adhere the flowers and leaves to the card front and add pearls to the flower centers.

9). Finish off the card by applying a clear glitter pen to the ODBD Thanks Die.

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by and visit and I hope I have inspired you with this quick CAS card :-)

Our Daily Bread Designs January 2017 New Release

Happy New Year Friends!

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs January 2017 Release!  What a great way to bring in the New Year- I just love the selection of stamps, dies and paper in the ODBD January 2017 Release!

I will share more details on how to create each of these cards in another post later this week since I know that you will not want to miss out on the fabulous inspiration from the rest of my sister “Breadsticks” :-)  We would love to have you hop along with us- please see more details below...

My first card features the new ODBD Seeds of Today stamp set, ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers Collection 6x6 Paper Pad along with the previously released ODBD Dies- Pierced Rectangles, Rectangles, Pierced Circles and Circles.  I added a few Rhinestones to finish off this fun and quick card :-)

My second card features the new ODBD Find Refuge Bible Journaling stamp along with the previously released ODBD Dies- Deco Border, Boho Background and Pierced Rectangles.

I love the fact that the ODBD Bible Journaling stamps can be used for making cards, home décor projects as well as Bible Journaling!  I added a bit of ribbon and rhinestones to finish off this card but even with the rhinestones, I think this could be masculine or feminine, what do you think?

We hope that you will be able to take the time to hop along with the rest of the ODBD Design Team- gorgeous inspiration from all of the “Breadsticks”:
