DD81 Peace on Earth- Prancing Through the Snow :-)

Hi Stampers! 

This week’s Dynamic Duos DD81 “Your Choice” Week uses Midnight Muse and your choice of color.  As much as I love Night of Navy, I also love Midnight Muse- it has such a rich deep color.

I also used a winter theme for the Stampin' Royalty SR204 Challenge- they have a wonderful Design Team and all of the entries can provide so much inspiration as well!

To create this card:

Use Sponge Daubers and torn sticky notes to create the sponged background- first sponge Pool Party Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock as you mask the sky area

and the snowy hills.   Add a few shadows on the hills using Midnight Muse Classic Ink and the darker areas in the sky.

Ink the tree from the hostess set, Warmth and Wonder using Midnight Muse Classic Ink and stamp off onto a piece of scrap paper before stamping onto the sky line area. Repeatedly stamp the trees along the sky line and stamp the foreground tree using Midnight Muse Classic Ink (without stamping off first). 

Stamp the deer image using Midnight Muse Classic Ink and if needed, fill in any lightened areas using the Stampin’ Write Midnight Muse marker as well :-).  Add a few shadows for the tree and deer using the Sponge Daubers with the Midnight Muse Classic Ink and the marker.

Trim to size and mount onto Midnight Muse cardstock, trim and mount again onto Pool Party and Midnight Muse cardstock. 

Add a few highlights to the snow banks using Two-Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter (the glitter is very difficult to see in the photo :-)).  

Use Midnight Muse Classic Ink to stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock, punch out using the 1 ¾” Circle Punch and layer onto the 1 ¾” Midnight Muse cardstock circle (cut the Midnight Muse cardstock circle in half and adhere behind the sentiment circle allowing the edge to show on the sides).  

Adhere a piece of Whisper White cardstock to the Midnight Muse card base and add the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper (DSP) panel (also mounted onto Midnight Muse cardstock). 

Mount the focal image panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals® as well as the sentiment.

Add the 3/8” Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon triple ribbon bow and Rhinestones to finish off the card.

Ink: Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Midnight Muse Stampin’ Write Marker

Paper: Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Winter Frost DSP

Accessories:  Sponge Daubers, Sticky Notes, Dazzling Diamonds, 1 ¾” Circle Punch, Rhinestones, 3/8” Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon

CAS Contempo Christmas :-)

Hi Again Stampers!!

I wanted to create another Clean and Simple (CAS) Christmas card and decided to use the STS#8 Seize The Sketch STS8 Challenge and the fun colors from this week's CC452 Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers :-)

Seize The Sketch is is a new challenge site for me and they have a wonderful Design Team along with all of the inspirational entries- hope you will have a chance to check them out as well as the Splitcoaststampers gallery!

To create this card:

Stamp the Christmas tree image from the retired set, Contempo Christmas using the Silver Encore!™ Ultimate Metallic ink onto Island Indigo cardstock.  Cut out with the 2 ½” Circle Punch and layer onto two other circles from the same punch- one from Whisper White and the other from Island Indigo cardstock.

Layer a piece of the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper (DSP) onto Whisper White cardstock and again onto Island Indigo cardstock.  Adhere to the Pool Party card base.

Stamp the sentiment from the Contempo Christmas set using Island Indigo Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and layer onto an Island Indigo cardstock strip.

Adhere the Christmas tree image using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.  Add the 5/8” Whisper White Organza Ribbon bow along with the Frosted Finishes Embellishment.

Peace on Earth- Wonderful Blessing for the HSSSC169 Sketch

Hi Again Stampers!

I wanted to create one more card this evening using the new single stamp, Wonderful Blessing along with the Hand Stamped Sentiments HSSSC169 Sketch Challenge …I love sketch challenges since they are such a great inspiration :-)   Again, if you have not visited the Hand Stamped Sentiments site yet, I highly recommend that you do so- great Design Team samples and entries as well!

To create this card:

Using the Embossing Buddy®, de-static a piece of Island Indigo cardstock and stamp the Wonderful Blessing image using Versamark™ ink.  Apply Stampin’ Emboss® White Embossing Powder and heat with the Heat Tool.     

Use the Big Shot™ with the Circles Collection Framelits™ to cut out the embossed image and cut another circle the same size from Island Indigo cardstock.  Cut the Island Indigo circle in half horizontally to layer behind the embossed image and adhere to a Tea Lace Paper Doily.

Emboss a piece of Winter Frost DSP using the Big Shot™ with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Argyle Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder . 

Mount the Winter Frost DSP layer onto a piece of Island Indigo cardstock and lightly sand with the Sanding Block.  Add the embossed Whisper White layer and a piece of 1/8” Silver Ribbon.

Cut the banners from Winter Frost DSP  (add the banner points using the 1” Square Punch or cut by hand) and adhere to a layer of Island Indigo cardstock.

Mount onto the card per the sketch and add the focal image using Stampin’ Dimensionals®. 

Mount the banner sentiment (retired set, Come to Bethlehem stamped with Island Indigo Classic Ink onto Whisper White and mounted onto Island Indigo cardstock) and add the Rhinestone to the star to finish off the card. 

Stamp Sets: Wonderful Blessing (single stamp), Come to Bethlehem (retired)

Ink: Versamark™, Island Indigo

Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Island Indigo, Winter Frost DSP

2013 Dare To Get Dirty- Card #2

Hi Stampers!

Here is the second card created for one of the Splitcoaststampers Dare To Get Dirty Challenge  :-)   Are you a Fan Club Member ofSplitcoaststampers yet?  If so, come join in on the fun and if not, it is not too late to join (did I mention in addition to the forum discussions and fun creating the cards,  that the Member Companies will have prizes??))  

To create this card:

Using the Embossing Buddy®, de-static a piece of Island Indigo cardstock and stamp the ornament image using Versamark™ ink.  Apply Stampin’ Emboss® Silver Embossing Powder and heat with the Heat Tool.   

Cut the ornament out using the Big Shot™ with the corresponding Holiday Ornaments Framelit™. 

Emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Big Shot™ with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder inserting only part of the paper into the embossing folder.  Stamp the sentiment along the bottom of the cardstock using Basic Gray Classic Ink.

Adhere the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper (DSP) to a piece of Island Indigo, add the embossed Whisper White cardstock.  Add a piece of Basic Gray Satin Ribon along with a piece of White Satin Ribbon to cover the seam.

Adhere the ornament using the Stampin’ Dimensionsals® and add the Silver Cord along with the Large Rhinestone.   Add the additional Rhinestones to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Ornament Keepsakes,  More Merry Messages  

Ink: Versamark™, Basic Gray

Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Island Indigo, Winter Frost DSP
