SNSS Stand Tall- Happy Birthday

Hi Friends!

Wow! What a fabulous new Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps release this past Friday!!

I have had a very busy week and was so thankful that I had a chance to play around with the brand new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps (SNSS) Stand Tall Clear Stamp Set (designed by Korin Sutherland) today!

I think this set is so cute and love all of the different sentiments.  I also wanted to participate in a few online challenges and decided to incorporate the Tuesday Morning Sketches #385 Challenge along with the Sugar Pea Designs Mix It Up #27 Fresh Inspiration Challenge into the design (both are challenges that I have not participated with in quite a while :-)).

I hope you will find time to visit both challenge sites as well as the SNSS Blog- my "sisters" on the SNSS Creative Team post projects throughout the month and in addition to the above challenge galleries, you would have inspiration galore!!

To create this card:

1). Ink the SNSS Stand Tall Clear Stamp Set giraffe image with embossing ink, stamp onto a piece of white cardstock and color the water-based markers.  Add white highlights to the eyes with the Sharpie Extra Fine White Paint Pen.

2). Fussy cut the giraffe and set aside.

3). Die cut a piece of white and patterned paper with a stitched rectangle die, mount onto chocolate cardstock and trim close to the edge.

4). Emboss a piece of designer paper with a lattice embossing folder, trim and mount onto flamingo cardstock, trim and mount onto the chocolate card base.

5). Die cut two banners with a stitched banner die, adhere both directly to the card front per the sketch and add the patterned paper rectangle.

6). Ink the group of hearts image from the SNSS Stand Tall Clear Stamp Set with archival black ink, stamp onto the white die cut rectangle and color with a flamingo water-based marker.

7). Mount the white heart rectangle onto the card front with dimensional foam, add the fussy-cut SNSS Stand Tall giraffe image.

8). Heat emboss the sentiment from the SNSS Stand Tall Clear Stamp Set with white embossing powder onto chocolate cardstock, hand cut the banner and mount onto the card front.

9). Die cut the hearts using the SNSSPick Me Up Dies- a small and large heart from flamingo cardstock and a large heart from chocolate cardstock.  Add to the card front to finish off the card.

I love this cute giraffe image from the SNSS Stand Tall Clear Stamp Set and had fun designing this card!

I hope I have inspired you to create something this week- thanks again for taking the time to visit!  Hugs and I hope you have a fabulous week, sweet friends!

My Bounty is Boundless

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing one of the Artistic Outpost (AO) January 2017 Release cards on the Artistic Outpost blog and wanted to share the step by step details with you here as well.

This card was designed with the new AO The Captain stamp set along with the new AO Vagabond Treasures Collection 6x6 Paper Pad, the previously released AO Grunge Elements stamp set along with the previously released ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies and ODBD Rectangles Dies (all available from Our Daily Bread Designs).

If you have not had a chance to visit The Artistic Outpost Blog yet, I encourage you to do so- gorgeous inspiration from the Artistic Outpost Design Team throughout the week on the AO Blog!

To create this card:

1). Ink the ship from the AO The Captain stamp set with archival black ink onto vanilla cardstock, water color with distress inks and add a bit of distressing with the large splatter stamp from AO Grunge Elements.

2). Ink the compass image from AO The Captain with distress ink and stamp onto the upper corner of the panel, trim the panel and distress the edges.

3). Mount onto a rectangle of espresso cardstock die cut and embossed with the ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies.

4). Die cut and emboss a piece of the AO Vagabond Treasures Collection 6x6 Paper with the ODBD Rectangles Dies and a piece of vanilla cardstock with the ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies.

Close-up of coloring
5). Mount a piece of espresso cardstock to a white card base, add the die cut and embossed piece of vanilla cardstock, add the die cut and embossed AO Vagabond Treasures Collection rectangle and add the stamped AO The Captain ship image.

6). Create the banners by hand a). cut one from the AO Vagabond Treasures Collection Paper (I used a scrap from the rectangle cut) and a smaller banner from vanilla cardstock.  Ink and stamp the anchor and compass image from AO The Captain stamp set onto the vanilla banner using distress inks, distress the edges with a distressing tool or your fingernail and add a bit of splatter to the stamped vanilla banner with the large splatter stamp from AO Grunge Elements.

7). Adhere the banners to the card front and add the knotted hemp twine.

8). Ink the sentiment from AO The Captain with archival black ink, stamp onto vanilla cardstock, create the fish tail banner ends and mount onto espresso cardstock. “Huff” onto the previously inked compass image and splatter stamp from step 6 and stamp over the sentiment to “distress” the paper.  Add the knotted hemp twine and spiral clip before adhering to the card front with dimensional foam to finish off the card.

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by- hugs to all of you and I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

SC627 Cocoa Sends Love- Birthday Wishes

Hi Friends!

It is time for the SplitcoaststampersSC627 Sketch Challenge and I decided to create another card using Sweet ‘nSassy Stamps (SNSS) Cocoa Sends Love Clear Stamp Set designed by Korin Sutherland.

I think that the SNSS Cocoa Sends Love Clear Stamp Set is very versatile with that sweet Cocoa mouse image peeking out of the mailbox, the gorgeous font used for the fourteen different sentiments plus that cute little trio of hearts stamp :-).

I am also linking this card to the Just Us Girls  Word Week #375 “New” Challenge (since SNSS Cocoa Sends Love is a new stamp set:-)).

If you have not had a chance to visit us at the SNSS Blog yet, I hope you will find the time to do so- many gorgeous projects from my “sisters” on the SNSS Creative Team!  Also, I hope you find the time to visit the Just Us Girls Challenge site- they always have a fabulous gallery in addition to their wonderful Design Team!

To create this card:

1). Ink the SNSS Cocoa Sends Love Clear Stamp Set Cocoa image with archival black ink and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock.  Color the image with alcohol markers and water-based markers, fussy-cut and mount onto black cardstock (fussy-cutting around the edges again).

2). Trim a piece of blush pink designer paper for the background, mount onto a piece of black cardstock (approx.. 3 ¾” wide) and mount onto the white card base (approx. 3 15/16” wide).

3). Add the vertical strip of designer paper mounted onto black cardstock per the sketch.

4). Die cut a piece of black cardstock with a doily oval die and die cut an oval for the center with a stitched oval die.

5). Ink the small hearts image from SNSS Cocoa Sends Love Clear Stamp Set with a rose marker and repeatedly stamp (re-inking as needed) over the oval die cut piece of white cardstock.

6). Layer the stamped white oval onto the black oval die cut and mount onto the card front with dimensional foam.

7). De-static a piece of black cardstock with an embossing tool, stamp the sentiment from SNSS Cocoa Sends Love Clear Stamp Set with embossing ink, apply white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.  Mount onto the card front at the top of the oval (again, per the sketch).

Front view to show that the oval hangs off the edge a bit :-)
8). Add the fussy-cut SNSS CocoaSends Love  mailbox image with dimensional foam.

9). Die cut two hearts using the SNSSPick Me Up Dies from rose cardstock and mount onto the card front.

10). To finish off the card, use the Sharpie Extra Fine White Paint Pen to add highlights to the eyes of Cocoa.

This was a fun card to design with all of the different layers and patterns!  Even though the oval hangs off the edge a bit, I made sure that the overall width was still 4 1/4" (so it is still an A2 size card) :-)

Thanks for visiting and I hope all of you have a blessed week!

4). Mount the ODBD Whimsical Wildflower Collection panel onto a piece of dark purple cardstock, trim and mount onto the white card base.

5). Mount the ODBD Thanks Die onto the card front.

6). Die cut and emboss several flowers from white, purple and soft yellow cardstock with the ODBD Bitty Blossoms Dies.
