I
am sharing another card I designed using the October 2016 Our Daily Bread Designs Release stamp set, Our Savior’s Birth along with the new ODBD Christmas Card 2016 Collection 6x6 Paper Pad and previously released ODBD dies.
I
decided to die cut this main image but fussy-cut the legs on the manger so it
would fit into the oval die cut.
I
am linking this card to the Alphabet Challenge “R is for Recipe” (Ribbon,Stamp, Die Cut, Sentiment, Embossing) as well as the Word Art Wednesday #244-#245 “Anything Goes” Challenge (this is my second card for both challenges :-)).
If
you have not already had a chance to stop by the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog or the other challenge sites yet, I
hope you will find time to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!
To
create this card:
Ink
the main image from Our Savior’s Birth stamp set with archival black ink, stamp onto
white cardstock and water color with watercolor pencils and use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer.
Carefully
fussy-cut the legs and part of the manger image to fit within the ODBD Pierced Ovals Dies, die cut and emboss the oval and mount onto an oval cut using the same
size die from dark navy cardstock.
Die
cut and emboss the ODBD Flourished Star Pattern Dies (using the largest die) from white cardstock,
cut the lower portion off, layer onto a piece of the ODBD Christmas Card Collection 2016 Paper and mount the panel onto a piece of dark navy cardstock.
Die
cut and emboss the ODBD Art Deco Die from white cardstock, layer below the panel
in the step above, add the dark navy ribbon strip (wrapping the ends behind the
panel) and mount the entire panel onto the white card base.
Adhere
the dark navy satin ribbon strip to cover the seam of the die cut panels (wrapping
the ends of the ribbon behind the panel) and mount onto the white card base.
Stamp
the sentiment from ODBD Our Savior’s Birth stamp set with dark navy ink onto white
cardstock, die cut and emboss with the ODBD Pierced Squares Dies and mount onto
a split dark navy frame (die cut and embossed from the ODBD Vintage Flourish Pattern Dies).
Mount
the layered sentiment onto the card front with dimensional foam and add the
rhinestones to the sides.
Mount
the fussy-cut layered oval focal image of the nativity with dimensional foam and
adhere the triple dark navy bow to finish off the card.
