Hi Friends!
This card was
designed with a verse sentiment from Words of Encouragement (Stamp Simply)
along with a floral image from Anna Griffin (sorry, not sure of the name of this one, it was part of a kit from HSN years ago).
I love to participate
with online challenges and am linking to the Festive Friday #063 “International Day of Friendship” and I incorporated the pink, green, flower, ribbon and embossing
into the design.
I am also linking up
to the A Place To Start “July- Flowers” Challenge along with the Time Out #165 “Days Gone By” Challenge. This floral image seems vintage to me :-)
If you have not had
chance to check out the above challenge sites yet, I hope you will do so- gorgeous
inspiration from all!
To create this card:
Ink the sentiment
from Words of Encouragement with Versafine™ Onyx Black ink, stamp onto vanilla
cardstock, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.
Die cut with a
rectangle die, mount onto blackberry cardstock, trim close to the edge.
Watercolor the Anna Griffin
image using water-based markers and use Vintage Tea Distress Ink to “age” the paper.
Add the lace and
satin ribbon, wrapping the ends behind the panel. Mount the entire panel onto a white card
base.
Use a clear glitter
pen to add shimmer to the flower petals and an extra fine white paint pen to
add highlights to the flower centers.
Finish off the card
with a few pearls.

I think it is not just the flower that looks vintage Julie...to me the whole card is vintage-the background with the distress ink works well with this look plus the lace gives it a great vintage feel too! I do love how you coloured the image-the colour really contrasts with the rest of the card making it the star! Thanks for joining Time Out x
This card is stunning! I love all the details you added. The coloring looks amazing and so does the background -the shabby chic feel of this is just gorgeous! Thank you for joining us at Time Out!
Absolutely lovely card! The flowers are stunning and yes I agree that the card has a vintage feel. Thanks for participating in the flowers theme challenge at APTS blog! --Becca/resident designer
This is such a beautiful card!! Love the vintage look of the papers and your water coloured flowers are stunning in that deep plum colour. The ribbon and lace certainly add to the ‘old-time’ feel too. It’s perfect for our challenge and I’m so glad you shared it with us at TIME OUT!
