SUO163 Holiday Elegance with Embellished Ornaments

Hi Friends!

It’s time for the SUO163 “Holiday Elegance” Challenge at SU-Only Challenges!  I decided to create a Clean and Simple (CAS)  using Gold Foil along with the Embellished Ornament Stamp Set, Bow Builder Punch and Delicate Ornament Thinlits.

I am also linking this card to the Time Out Challenges #71 “Christmas”Challenge (opt. twist glitter/shimmer) and the AAA Cards #79 CAS Christmas Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to stop by the SU-Only Challenge site to check out the rest of the Design Team projects  or the other challenge sites, I hope you will do so- fabulous inspiration from all!

This was an extremely easy card to create:

Die cut the ornament using the Big Shot™ with the detailed Delicate Ornament Thinlits™ from Gold Foil and use the Bow Builder Punch to create the bow from Gold Foil as well.

Also die cut the solid ornament along with the with the detailed Delicate Ornament Thinlits™ from Whisper White cardstock , layer the ornament and add the Gold Metallic Thread for the hanging cord.

Ink the sentiment and holly branch images from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set with Versamark™ ink, stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock , apply Gold Embossing Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

Trim the embossed panel, mount the ornament with Stampin’ Dimensionals®, loop the cord over the panel and mount onto the Whisper White card base.

Add the Gold Foil bow along with Pearls to finish off the card.

SUO159 Bright & Beautiful Season

Hi Friends!

It’s time for the SUO159 “Holiday Paper” Challenge and I decided to create a card using the new Candy Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 2016 Holiday Mini Catalog.

I decided to incorporate the FUSION “Chairs To You” Challenge  (I used the sketch) along with the Splitcoaststampers’ Alphabet Challenge DDABC11G Challenge (“G”- Gingerbread, Gems (Pearls)) and the CCC16 Christmas Card Challenge.

I hope you will have a chance to check out the rest of my fellow Design Team member samples at the SU-Only Challenge site as well as the fantastic samples and entries at the Splitcoaststampers galleries- wonderful inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Ink the sentiment from Embellished Ornaments with Real Red Classic Ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock.

Die cut the sentiment using the Big Shot™ with the Circle Framelits™, cut two additional circles using the same die from Early Espresso cardstock.

Overlap the two Early Espresso circles and adhere the sentiment to the “frame”.
Create the horizontal layer from the Candy Lane DSP, mount onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock.

Fussy-cut the “lace” from the pattern of Candy Lane DSP and mount behind the layer created in the above step.

Layer a piece of the striped pattern of the Candy Lane DSP onto the Early Espresso card base and add the horizontal layered strip.

Mount the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals® and add a few pearls to the outside edge.

Fussy-cut the gingerbread, tree, mittens and star images from the patterned Candy Lane DSP, mount onto Early Espresso cardstock and fussy-cut close to the edge.

Add the images to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals® and finish off the card by adhering pearls to the centers of the mittens and star as well as the gingerbread image.

Stamp Sets:  Embellished Ornaments

Ink:  Real Red

Paper/Cardstock: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Candy Lane DSP
Accessories: Big Shot™, Circles Framelits™, Pearls

HYCCT1510 With Loving Wishes

Hi Again Friends!!

I had Blackberry Bliss still on my desk from a few cards that I created this week and since the HYCCT Challenges are to support breast cancer patients, I thought this would be a good non-traditional color choice for my tag Christmas card :-)  I personally love purple so I hope you are not too tired of that color yet...

I am also going to link this to the Splitcoaststampers' CCC15 Christmas Card Challenge for the September theme of snowflakes :-)

I hope you have a chance to visit the above galleries and possibly time to join in on the fun!!

To create this card:

Stamp the sentiment and holly from Embellished Ornaments using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink onto a piece of watercolor paper and the holly only onto a piece of white cardstock (I should have used watercolor paper for this step but for some reason pulled out a miscellaneous white cardstock instead- oops! :-)).

Using Ranger® Tim Holtz® Distress Stains (I used Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves), tap a bit of each color onto a craft mat, spritz with water and lay the  piece of watercolor paper into ink, spritz more water onto the panel and allow the inks to merge.

Repeat the above process on the regular white cardstock panel (being careful not to saturate this panel with too much water or the paper will “pill”) and use the Heat Tool to dry both panels.

Use the Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Markers to color the holly images and spritz the large Gorgeous Grunge splatter stamp with water to stamp over the panel, dry again with the Heat Tool.

Use the Faber-Castell® White Pitt Pen Marker to add highlights to the berries on both panels.

Cut the sentiment image into a 2” strip and use the ScallopTag Topper Punch to create the tag, round the ends with the Envelope Punch Board (also punching a piece of Whisper White cardstock in the same manner) and adhere the Whisper White “tag” behind the stamped holly tag.

Mount the die cut snowflakes behind the tag and set the tag aside for the moment.
Use the Simply Scored™ Scoring Tool to score along the top of the background panel, trim the panel and mount onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, trim and mount again onto the Blackberry Bliss card base.

Add the tag to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Front view- curvature of the camera lens drives me crazy :-) !
Adhere the 3/8” Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon double bow to the top of the tag along with the die cut snowflake to the lower part of the tag.

Add the Silver Button along with the Large Silver Rhinestone to the center of the large snowflake to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Embellished Ornaments, Gorgeous Grunge (both Stampin’ Up!)

Ink: Stāz-On® Jet Black, Ranger® Tim Holtz® Distress Stains- Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves; Stampin’ Write Markers- Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow; Faber-Castell® White Pitt Pen Marker

Paper: Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss

Accessories: Big Shot™, Memory Box™ Lindeman Snowflake Die,  Heat Tool, Craft Mat,  3/8” Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon, retired Silver Button, Large Rhinestone

Sneak Peek- Embellished Ornaments with an Inlaid Die Cut Technique

Hi Friends!

I decided to create a quick and easy Christmas card using the new stamp set, Embellished Ornaments along with the coordinatings dies for the SU-per 101 Color Challenge as well as the CAS(E) This Sketch CTS138 Sketch (center "stretched" out a bit) and the Stampin' Royalty SR292 Inspiration Photo Challenge.

Again, if you have not already done so, I hope you will find the time to visit the above links to check out their wonderful Design Team entries as well as their galleries!

This card was extremely easy to create:

Use the Big Shot™ to cut out the ornaments from  the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits from Pool Party cardstock as well as Lost Lagoon cardstock,.

Emboss the Pool Party cardstock layer with the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, trim and mount onto a piece of Tangerine Tango cardstock.

Insert the Lost Lagoon ornament die cuts into the openings on the embossed  Pool Party layer, add the die cut ornament toppers (cut from Silver Foil) along with the Silver Cord.

Mount the entire panel onto the Lost Lagoon card base, add the Rhinestones to the centers of the ornaments.

Stamp the sentiment from Embellished Ornaments using Lost Lagoon Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, trim and layer onto Tangerine Tango cardstock  (creating the banner with the Hexagon  Punch).

Add the sentiment to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals to finish off the card.

Quick and easy- great for creating multiples for Christmas!
