Acorny "Give Thanks"

Hi Again Friends!!

I wanted to share another card that I created this weekend using the Splitcoaststampers’ SC567 Sketch along with the Colour Me..Subtle! #98 Challenge and the Paper Craft Crew #171 “Give Thanks” Theme Challenge.

Again, if you have not already visited the above sites, I hope you will take a moment to do so- great inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Trim a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock on an angle for the sketch, mount onto a ppiece of Soft Suede cardstock and mount onto the Very Vanilla card base.

Stamp the acorns from Acorny Thanks using Soft Suede Classic Ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punch out the acorns using the Acorn Builder Punch.

Ink one of the acorn tops using Crushed Curry Classic Ink and stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock.

Ink two acorn tops using Crushed Curry Classic Ink, roll into Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink and daub the ink with a Sponge Dauber to blend the edges.

Punch all of the acorn tops using the Acorn Builder Punch and adhere to the acorns.

Ink the oak leaves from Vintage Leaves using Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink and stamp onto Crushed Curry cardstock and use the Big Shot™ with the Leaves Framelits™ and cut out the leaves.

Use a Sponge Dauber with Soft Suede Classic Ink onto the leaves and acorns.

Add a glue dot to adhere the Gold Metallic Thread, mount the two leaves (looping the thread within the leaves) with Stampin’ Dimensionals®, mount the acorns with Stampin’ Dimensionals™ as well.

Ink the sentiment with Early Espresso Classic Ink, roll into Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink and stamp onto the card front.

Ink the large splatter stamp with Soft Suede Classic Ink and repeatedly stamp the splatter stamp over the card front to finish off the card.

CAS Lighthearted Leaves- So Grateful For You

Hi Again Stampers!!

This Clean and Simple (CAS) card was created for the CASology #177 Give Challenge using the Splitcoaststampers’ CC555 Color Challenge with the MIX-Ability MIX145 "Enter the MatrIX" Challenge (Watercolor, Glaze, Green, Lavender, Leaves and Ribbon- Gold Cording in this case :-)).

To me the cue word "Give" this time of year means "Give Thanks" so I decided to create a "Thank You" card using a few leftovers from a previous project :-)

Again, if you have not had the chance to do so, I hope you will find the time to visit all of the above challenge sites- tremendous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Stamp the Lighthearted Leaves images using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock.

Color the images using Stampin’ Write Markers- Rich Razzleberry, Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede.  Spritz with water, dry with the Heat Tool and once dried, cut the images out with the coordinating die (for the larger leaf) and fussy-cut the smaller leaves.

Use a foam brush to apply Mod Podge® to the leaves and allow to thoroughly dry.

Use the Simply Scored™ tool to score the Whisper White cardstock, stamp the sentiment using Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink, trim and adhere to the Soft Suede cardstock.

Add the Gold Cold Trim and mount the panel onto the Whisper White card base.

Add the three leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals® along with the Gold Cord bow to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Lighthearted Leaves

Ink: Stāz-On® Jet Black, Stampin’ Write Markers- Mossy Meadow, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede

Paper: Whisper White, Soft Suede

Accessories: Big Shot™, Leaves Framelits™, Mod Podge®, Simply Scored™ Scoring Tool, Gold Cord Trim

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope you have a fantastic week, my friends!

CAS Lighthearted Leaves- So Grateful For You

Good Morning Friends!
Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry,
Mossy Meadow ("dessert"-
Thanks or Thanksgiving)

Here is the final card that I created with some of the "tossed aside" pieces from my crafting night using the CC555 Splitcoaststampers’ ColorChallenge (this time I was able to add "dessert" again :-)).

I incorporated the Freshly Made Sketches FMS211 Sketch Challenge (I decided to flip the sketch completely over- it seemed to work better that way with my leaves :-)) as well as a brand new to me challenge site, Dragonfly Journeys #31 "You Leaf Me Breathless" Challenge (a card with leaves of any color :-))

Again, if you have not already done so, I hope you will find the time to visit the above links to check out their wonderful Design Team entries as well as their galleries!

This card was extremely easy to create- stamp and color the leaves with Stampin' Write Markersm die cut using their coordinating dies, add the woodgrain embossed background, die cut circle, sentiment and you are done!

Stamp Sets: Lighthearted Leaves

Ink: Memento™ Tuxedo Black, Stampin’ Write Markers- Mossy Meadow, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede; Titanium White Acrylic Paint

Paper: Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Rich Razzleberry

Accessories: Big Shot™, Leaves Framelits™, Woodgrain Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, MFT Stitched Circle Die (previously cut in my stash), Hexagon Punch, Antique Copper Clip

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by- hugs and have a great day, my friends!
