Monochromatic Shades of Purple with Summer Silhouettes

Hi Stampers! 

I had a chance to play around in my craft room this evening and decided to create a 10 Minute Mixed Media card for the As You See It #077 Speed Stamping "Shades of Purple" Challenge and combined it with the Splitcoaststampers MIX104 MonochromaticChallenge.

To create this 10 Minute (actually 9:58 min) CAS card:

Ink the Summer Silhouettes leaves using Perfect Plum Classic and stamp onto a piece of retired Orchid Opulence cardstock.  

Add the stem and flower head images using Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink.

Stamp the large splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge with Perfect Plum Classic Ink, stamp off and stamp over the images.

Add the Blackberry Bliss Washi Tape (from the retired Colour Me Autumn Washi Tape Collection) and ink the retired En Francais background stamp with Perfect Plum Classic Ink.  

Stamp off the background image and place the panel face down onto the stamp and “finger stamp” the script background  around the edges onto the panel.

Trim the panel and emboss the lower part of the card only using the Big Shot™ with the Zig Zag Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.

On your craft mat, add some Titanium White Acrylic Paint using a liner brush to to the flower tops.  Dilute the paint with water and a wider brush to add a light wash over the background of the stems, washi tape and embossing at the bottom.

Add a few more strips of the same Washi Tape and mount onto a piece of Whisper White Textured cardstock.

Trim and mount the entire panel onto the Blackberry Bliss card base.

I was running out of time so I did not add the sentiment yet (but can add one later :-))

Quick and easy- love the fact that it was completed in under 10 minutes!

CQC271 You're Absolutely Fabulous- Fun with the New Bow Builder Punch

Hi Stampers! 

I wanted to play around with some of my new toys from the upcoming Occasions Mini and decided to create a card using the bright colors from this week’s CQC271 ColourQ Challenge. 

Again, if you have not already visited the ColourQ site, I hope you will find the time to do so- wonderful Design Team samples as well as the gallery of entries! 

To create this Clean and Simple (CAS) card:

Using various washi tapes in the challenge colors, arrange the strips of tape onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, trim the panel and mount onto a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock.

Ink the large splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge using Bermuda Bay Classic Ink and stamp onto the card front.

Ink the sentiment from the retired set, Absolutely Fabulous using Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink and stamp at the bottom of the card front.

Using the new Bow Builder Punch, punch out bows from Bermuda Bay, Cherry Cobbler and Hello Honey cardstock and assemble the bows (I love this new punch- the bows are so cute!!) :-) 

Mount the washi tape panel onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, trim and mount onto the Cherry Cobbler card base.

Add the paper bows to finish off the card.

Paper: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Hello Honey

SUO105 Festival Of Trees :-)

Hi Stampers! 

It's time for the new SUO105 "Featuring Embellishments"  Challenge!!   We are encouraging you to create a new project using your Stampin’ Up! Brads, Buttons, Pearls, Rhinestones, Candy Dots, Clips, etc.

I hope that you will visit us at SUO-Challenges to check out the rest of the Design Team projects and join in on in on the fun with your Stampin’ Up! Only creations :-)

I also decided to incorporate the Jingle Belles Rock “Baby It’s Gold Outside" Theme Challenge- it is a bit difficult to see the Gold Ink on this card but it is there  as well as one of my CCC14 Christmas Cards for the Christmas Card Challenge at Splitcoaststampers :-)

To create this project:

Ink the tree stamp from Festival of Trees using Gold Encore™ Ink and stamp three of the images onto Old Olive cardstock.  Punch out the trees using the Tree Punch and punch three additional trees from Blackberry Bliss cardstock as well.

Cut the Blackberry Bliss trees in half vertically and adhere behind the stamp/ punched tree images.

Layer the All is Calm, Color Me Autumn, Watercolor Wonder and retired Season of Style Designer Washi Tape onto Whisper White cardstock. 

Ink the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge using Gold Encore™ Ink and stamp over the Washi Tape and near the top of the card as well.

Trim and mount the Washi Tape panel onto Blackberry Bliss cardstock, trim and adhere to the Old Olive card base.

Stamp the sentiment using Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink above the Washi Tape and mount the three trees onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®. 

Punch three stars from Gold Foil using the star from the Merry Minis Punch Pack and mount onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®. 

Add the 3/8” Stitched Blackberry Bliss Ribbon triple ribbon bow along with the Antique Brad (I also attached the bow to using Stampin’ Dimensionals® and Hot Glue).

Add a few Rhinestones to finish off the card.

Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive, Gold Foil
