Hi Friends!

I hope all of you are having a productive week so far! I am finally having a chance to catch up on some of my favorite online challenges and created another Clean and Simple (CAS) card using several stamp sets from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps- Sweet As Honey, Thoughtful Words and Grunge Elements 2.

I am linking this card to the Less Is More #373 “Friendship Challenge along with the Little Red Wagon #450 “To Bee or Not To Bee” Challenge. Once I finished the card, I realized that the design is a modified version of the CASE This Sketch #276 Sketch Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to visit the above challenge sites or the SNSS Blog/FB Page yet, I encourage you to do so- fabulous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

1).  Using archival black ink, stamp bee image from Sweet As Honey onto white cardstock and heat set with a heat tool.  Color the image with water-based markers and fussy-cut the bee. 

2). Using a rectangle stitched die, die cut two pieces of white cardstock (one for the card base and one for the focal image). 

3). On the smaller rectangle, stamp the honeycomb image from Sweet As Honey as well as the splatter image from Grunge Elements 2 with distress oxide inks and dry with a heat tool.

4). De-static the panel with an embossing powder tool, stamp the sentiment from Thoughtful Words with archival black ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

5). Mount both panels to a white card base, add the fussy-cut bee image and a few crystal drops to mimic honey.  To finish off the card, use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the bee and honeycomb.

SC676 Woodland Birthday

Hi Friends!

It’s Wednesday and time for the weekly sketch at Splitcoaststampers! Carey designed our SC676 sketch this week and I decided to create a simple Mixed Media "quilt" card using the new Scene Silhouettes:Woodland and Thoughtful Words Clear Stamp Sets (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps).

I absolutely love the Scene Silhouettes:Woodland stamp set and you can receive it free with a $60 order in the month of December from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps!

I was also inspired by the Time Out #98 Inspiration Challenge (I was inspired by the color of the wood along with the green and the deer) as well as the HappyLittle Stampers December Mixed Media “Anything Goes” Challenge and the WordArt Wednesday #312-#313 “Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to visit the SC676 Splitcoaststampers’ Sketch gallery or the other challenge sites yet, I hope you will do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

1). Die cut a 3 ¾” square piece of kraft cardstock with a square die. De-static the cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp the deer image from Scene Silhouettes:Woodland with Versamark™ Ink, apply white embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool.

2). Die cut two quilts using a log cabin quilt die- one from white cardstock and the other from green.  Cut out the center of the white cardstock frame and use the stitched panels from the green to create the frame around the deer image.

3). Using a stencil brush with distress ink, stencil the flourish pattern over the entire deer and quilt frame.  Use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the kraft cardstock around the deer image.

4). Using the same stencil with the same color ink, stencil the entire pattern onto another piece of white cardstock, die cut with a stitched rectangle die and mount onto green cardstock.  Mount the entire panel onto the white card base.

5). De-static the lower part of the frame with an embossing powder tool, stamp the sentiment from Thoughtful Words with Versamark™ ink, apply white embossing poweder and heat set with the heat tool.

6). Mount the deer focal image panel onto the card front with dimensional foam and add the copper sequins to finish off the card.

I hope all of you are having a great week so far! Today I am sharing another card designed with two of the December release stamp sets from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps - Scene Silhouettes:Trees and Thoughtful Words.

As I mentioned in my previous posts, several of the December release stamp sets are silhouette images which are perfect for scenes as well as masculine (and feminine) cards plus the new Thoughtful Words stamp set is so versatile as well!! I absolutely love the fonts on this set that Nina B. designed for Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps!!

 

Plus, there are only a few more days left to receive the December Stamp of the Month- Scene Silhouettes:Woodland stamp set free with any $60 order from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps!!

For this card I also incorporated the Alphabet “T for Trees” Challenge along with the Tuesday Throwdown #372 “Anything Goes” Challenge into the design.

This card was fairly easy card to create- I stamped the tree image from Scene Silhouettes:Trees along with the sentiment from Thoughtful Words with archival black ink  onto white cardstock, heat embossed both images with clear embossing powder, scored the edges before mounting onto black cardstock, added the gingham bow and mounted the entire card front onto a layered card.

Quick and easy and another card for my stash using the December release stamp sets from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps!

Scene Silhouettes- Woodland and Tall Grasses

I am here again sharing another card that I designed this past weekend using a few of Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps new December release stamp sets (check out my last two posts for additional cards using some of the same stamp sets). 

As I mentioned in my previous posts, several of the December release stamp sets are silhouettes which are perfect for scenes as well as masculine (and feminine) cards- I have paired this card with the new Thoughtful Words stamp set- I love the fonts on this set that Nina B. designed for Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps!!

I used the #137 sketch from TGIF! Challenges and also incorporated the Tic-Tac-Toe #027 Challenge (Pastel, Designer Paper and “Open”) for the design.

This card was fairly easy card to create- I used a chevron stencil with distress oxide ink to create a bit of texture on a piece of designer paper, cut the paper into four pieces, mounted onto black cardstock and created the background per the sketch.

The focal image was created by pressing distress oxide inks onto a silicone craft mat, spritzing with water and pressing a piece of white cardstock into the ink.  Once the background was dry, I stamped the Scene Silhouettes:Tall Grasses image along with the Scene Silhouettes: Woodland image with black archival ink and heat embossed both with clear embossing powder.

I also heat embossed the sentiment from Thoughtful Words with clear embossing powder onto white cardstock and matted both the sentiment and focal image onto stitched circle die cuts.

The card was finished off with a hemp twine bow.

You could just change the sentiment and have a fun card for many occasions!
