SUO140 Beautiful Blessing

Hi Friends!

It’s time for the SUO140 “It's Time for Valentine’s” Challenge and I decided to create a very Clean and Simple (CAS) card that could be sent to your Valentine or a sweet friend for Valentine’s Day.

I decided to play along with the Splitcoaststampers’ CAS359 “Wow Them!” White on White Challenge along with the Stampin’ Celebration SC120 Inspiration  Challenge and the Just Add Ink JAI294 “Add Something New Blog Hop” Challenge (the Rose Wonder and Bloomin' Love Thinlits are brand new :-)).

I hope you will have a chance to check out my sister Design Team member samples at the SU-Only Challenge site as well as the fantastic Design Team samples at the other three sites- gorgeous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ along with the Precision Base Cutting Plate and Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit™ Die to cut out the heart image and a few of the flowers from a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Ink the sentiment from Rose Wonder with Smoky Slate Classic Ink and stamp at the bottom of the cut panel.

Trim the cut panel to 4” x 5 ¼” , insert the die cut heart back into the cut opening and mount the entire panel onto the Whisper White card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Spritz the die cut flowers with a bit of water to soften the cardstock, shape the flowers to curl the petals and once dried, mount onto the card front.

Add the Pearls to finish off the card.

This card was a bit difficult to photograph but the die cut heart casts pretty shadows through the opening- a quick, easy Valentine to make for anyone in your life!

What do you think?  I believe that this design could also be a Wedding or Anniversary card - of course, with a different sentiment :-)

Stamp Sets:  Rose Wonder

Ink:  Smoky Slate
Paper/Cardstock: Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot™, Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits™ Die, Pearls

Thanks again for stopping by and we hope to see your Stampin’ Up! Only project in our “"It's Time for Valentine’s” Challenge gallery!

Home for Christmas- White on White Jingle All the Way

Hi Friends!!

I took a moment today to create a very quick, easy Clean and Simple (CAS) card for several challenges at Splitcoaststampers- the SC549 Sketch ( I flipped the sketch), F4A286 “Three Cheers” (use 3 die cuts or punches), TLC516 "White Out",  CCC15 Christmas and SCSCCJUL15 “Your Neck ofthe Woods”.

In this area of Maryland, we tend to receive snow and while I have never been on a horse drawn sleigh ride in the snow, it seems like some of our nearby country areas would be perfect for one!  A girl can dream, right? :-)

I hope you will find the time to check out each of the above links- so much inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ with the Sleigh Ride Edgelits™ to cut out all three of the dies from Whisper White cardstock (angling the dies to align with the sketch).

Position the dies onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock (do not adhere yet- I used a piece of easy release tape) and cut the edges to square up the card.

On the sleigh die cut, de-static t

he cardstock with the Embossing Buddy® and stamp the “Home for Christmas” sentiment (a bit difficult to see in the photo) using Versamark™ Ink, apply Stampin’ Emboss® White Embossing Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

Mount all of the die cuts onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Stampin' Dimensionals® between the layers and adhere to the Whisper White card base.

I absolutely love the new Sleigh Ride Edgelits™ along with the matching "Jingle All the Way" stamp set for Christmas cards- so quick and easy!!

Stamp Sets:  Jingle All the Way

Ink:  Versamark™

Paper: Whisper White

Accessories: Big Shot™, Sleigh Ride Edgelits™ , Embossing Buddy®, Stampin’ Emboss® White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

SUO122 Fun Floral Peacock :-)

Hi Stampers!

It’s time for the new SUO122 “Fun Flowers” Challenge and I decided to use a neglected newer stamp set, Beautiful Bunch along with Perfect Peacock  :-)

I decided to incorporate the Around the World AW40 Color Challenge with a modified version of the Splitcoaststampers’ SC523 Sketch (see details here and gallery here), the MIX119 Texture Challenge (see details here and gallery here) and the Just Us Girls JUGS292 Embossing Challenge.

I hope you will find the time to check out all of the challenge sites and create your own “Fun Flowers” project using Stampin’ Up! Only products !!

To create this card:
Use the Embossing Buddy® to de-static a piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the Perfect Peacock image using Versamark™ Ink , apply  Stampin’ Emboss® White Embossing Powder and heat with the Heat Tool.
Color using Stampin’ Write markers- Tempting Turquoise, Blushing Bride and Real Red, spritz with water and rub gently with a paper towel to remove the ink from the embossed area.  Reapply the markers as needed and when dry, carefully “fussy-cut” the peacock and set aside.
Using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink, stamp the four to five flowers onto Whisper White cardstock.
Color the flowers with the AquaPainter™ using Blushing Bride, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink, add additional details with Stampin’ Write Markers in the same colors and spritz with water.  Add a few white highlights to the flower centers using the White Gel Pen.
Once the flowers are dry, carefully “fussy-cut” and cut the flowers in half.
Adhere a piece of Tempting Turquoise Designer Series Paper (DSP) to a piece of Real Red cardstock, emboss using the Big Shot™ with the retiring Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and lightly sand with the Sanding Block.
Emboss a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock using the Big Shot™ with the retiring Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and adhere to a piece of Real Red.
“Dry fit” the two embossed panels on the Whisper White cardstock background, use a pencil to note the intersection at the bottom, remove the panels and stamp the sentiment from the soon-to-be retired set, Blooming with Kindness using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink.
Trim the sentiment panel, mount onto a piece of Real Red cardstock, trim and adhere the entire panel onto the Tempting Turquoise card base.
Add the vertical Tempting Turquoise panel directly to the card front and adhere the Blushing Bride embossed panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.
Position the peacock (do not adhere yet) and fit the flowers around the peacock until you are satisfied with the layout.
Adhere the flowers to the peacock on the edges and mount the entire assembly  using Stampin’ Dimensionals® (doubling the thickness of the Dimensionals® on the left hand side of the card to take in account the height of the Blushing Bride layer).
Add the two flower halves on the Blushing Bride panel to finish off the card.
Stamp Sets:  Perfect Peacock, Beautiful Bunch, Blooming with Kindness
Ink: Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink, Blushing Bride, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise; Stampin’ Write Markers- Blushing Bride, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise , White Gel Pen
