CQC65 With Sympathy

Hi Stampers!

I created this card using this week’s ColourQ Challenge #CQC65 (www.colourq.blogspot.com).  If you have a chance to check out their blog, the Design Team and all of the other entries are fabulous- such great techniques and variety of styles.

I thought that the colors would work well for a sympathy card and chose to use the Hostess Level II Fast and Fabulous.  To create this card:

Stamp the large floral outline image from Fast and Fabulous in Basic Black on Whisper White.  Color the flowers and leaves using SU! Markers in Basic Gray and Old Olive.  Spray with Frost White Shimmer Paint and sponge the edges and lightly over the white areas with Crumb Cake.  Layer the image onto Very Vanilla and Basic Black.

Use the Big Shot with the Finial Press EF and emboss a piece of Crumb Cake.  Lightly sponge Crumb Cake ink over the embossed areas.  Ink the backgournd stamp En Francasis with Crumb Cake and stamp onto Very Vanilla  cardstock.  Lightly brayer Crumb Cake over the stamped image, cut to size and layer onto Basic Black.  Adhere the background stamped layer to the Crumb Cake embossed piece and add the 5/8” Basic Black Satin Ribbon.

Stamp the sentiment with Basic Black on Very Vanilla, punch with the Curly Label XL Punch and layer onto Basic Black also punched with the Curly Label XL Punch.  Attach this behind the focal image layer and adhere to the card front.  Add the pearls and bow to finish the card.

Stamp Sets:  Fast and Fabulous (Hostess Level II), Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Crumb Cake
Ink: Basic Black, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Big Shot, Finial Press EF,  Curly Label XL Punch,  5/8” Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Pearls, SU! Basic Gray and Old Olive Markers, Sponge Dauber, Brayer, Frost White Shimmer Paint

Thanks again for stopping by- have a blessed week!

SSC183 Get Well Wishes

Hi Again Stampers!

I created this card using the Stamping 411 with the Operators Sketch Challenge SSC183 (http://www.stamping411.blogspot.com/ ) and used quite a few previously embossed pieces to make a quick and easy card.

To create this card:

Using the bird stamp from Peace Within with Basic Black Classic ink, stamp onto Whisper White and color the image using SU! Markers- I used Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Always Artichoke.  Round the edges with the Corner Rounder Punch and adhere to a Baja Breeze layer (punch the bottom edge with the ScallopTrim Border Punch).  Stamp the sentiment and adhere pearls and set aside.

Using the Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper EF, emboss a piece of Always Artichoke, DSP (SU! retired), and Whisper White.  Lightly sand the DSP with the Sanding Block to reveal the white core and sponge the Whisper White embossed panel with Crumb Cake.  Layer the DSP panel and Whisper White onto Baja Breeze.  Assemble the layers as per the sketch and adhere the ½” Always Artichoke Seam Binding.

Loop another piece of the ½” Always Artichoke seam binding and insert a Vintage Brad.  Adhere the focal image and attach the ribbon/brad in the corner.

Stamp Sets:  Peace Within, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Always Artichoke, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and retired DSP
Ink: Basic Black, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper EF, SU! Markers- Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Always Artichoke, Sponge Dauber, Corner Rounder and Scallop Trim Border Punch, ½” Always Artichoke Seam Binding, Pearls, Vintage Brad

Thanks again for visiting and I hope all of you have a blessed New Year!

PPA74 Happy Birthday!

Hi Stampers!

Tomorrow is my husband’s birthday and I wanted to create a card that had a more masculine feel (i.e. no pearls or glitter :-)) and I decided to use this week’s Pals Paper Arts PPA74 Celebrity Sketch Challenge (http://www.palspaperarts.com/).

This card is quick and easy, although it was difficult not to use my Big Shot:-)  I chose the Friends 24-7 set for two reasons- first, we love watching birds together and second, he is my best friend 24-7 for almost 28 years now!  I love him so much- I hope he likes this card!
To create this card:

First, de-static a piece of River Rock with the Embossing Buddy and stamp the bird image from Friends 24-7 in Versamark, then in Night of Navy Classic Ink.  Heat emboss with Clear Embossing Powder (EP).  Sponge the edges with Night of Navy and layer onto Night of Navy and Very Vanilla cardstock.

Stamp the flourish image onto the DSP and sponge the edges with Night of Navy.  Adhere the 1 ¼” Night of Navy Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

Stamp the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto River Rock, punch out with the Curly Label XL Punch and sponge the edges with Night of Navy.  Use the same punch to punch out a piece of Vary Vanilla to back behind the sentiment.  Adhere to the back of the focal image and attach to the card.

Stamp Sets:  Friends 24-7, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Night of Navy, River Rock, Very Vanilla, DSP (retired)
Ink:  Night of Navy, Versamark
Accessories: Embossing Buddy, Heat Gun, Clear EP, Curly Label XL Punch, 1 ¼” Night of Navy Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Thanks again for visiting- I hope you have a wonderful week!

With Sympathy- CCMC130 and CQC64 Challenge

Hi Stampers!   I created this card using the CCMC130 sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary (www.createwithconnieandmary.com along with the colors from this week’s ColourQ Challenge #CQC64 (www.colourq.blogspot.com).  One thing I love about sketch challenges is that you can generally flip the sketch, re-position the ribbon, etc. to create a card that is uniquely yours.  I decided to change the position of the ribbon on this card so you could see more of the focal image.

To create this card:

Using Real Red Classic Ink stamp the focal image from Fresh Cuts and color using SU! Markers in Pear Pizzazz, Regal Rose and Real Red.  Using a Sponge Dauber, sponge the edges in Real Red and layer onto Regal Rose. Using the Pinking Hearts Border Punch along the lower edge, adhere the focal image and spray the entire piece with Frost White Shimmer Paint spray.
Emboss a piece of Pear Pizzazz using the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper EF and spray with Frost White Shimmer Paint.  Emboss a piece of Pink Pirouette with the Square Lattice EF, adhere the layers and attach the 5/8” Real Red Satin Ribbon.

Layer onto Real Red, add the pearls and finish with the sentiment.

Stamp Sets:  Fresh Cuts, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Pink Pirouette, Real Red
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Big Shot, Square Lattice and Vintage Wallpaper EF, Pinking Hearts Border, Small Oval and Medium Oval Punches, 5/8” Real Red Satin Ribbon, Pearls, SU! Pear Pizzazz, Real Red and Regal Rose Markers, Frost White Shimmer Paint

Thanks again for visiting - I hope all of you have a great week!

Two Cards for the Same Challenge!

Hi Again Stampers!
I just had to create two cards using the cake inspiration photo from Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge CCMC129 (http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com)- I just love all of the bows and they were calling out to
me:-)   Please see the earlier post for the first card that also uses the sketch challenge from Stamping 411 with the Operators.

To create this card:
Using the Big Shot and the Perfect Dots EF, emboss a piece of Whisper White and spray with Frost White Shimmer Paint.

Tie three bows using 5/8” Marina Mist Satin Ribbon.   Create three floral images using the round stamp from Just Believe with Marina Mist ink, punch out with the 1 3/8” Circle Punch and spray with Frost White Shimmer Paint (hint- I use the heat gun to dry the Frost White Simmer Paint mixture with 70% alcohol quicker).  Add a pearl to the center of each image.

Stamp the sentiment in Marina Mist and adhere to the lower bottom of the card.  Adhere the ribbons and floral images to finish off this quick card.

Stamp Sets:  Just Believe, Heard from the Heart
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Marina Mist
Ink: Marina Mist
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Dots EF, 1 3/8” Circle Punch, 5/8” Marina Mist Satin Ribbon, Pearls, Frost White Shimmer Paint

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope you have a joyful Christmas celebrating the birth of Christ!

Thank You – Two Challenges in One!

Hi Stampers!

I created this card using this fantastic cake inspiration photo from this week's Create with Connie and Mary(http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com) Thursday Challenge CCMC129 - check out the Design Team's cards along with the other entries- they are truly gorgeous!

I also used the unique sketch challenge from Stamping 411 with the Operators SSC182 (http://www.stamping411.blogspot.com/).  Again, this site has so many wonderful designers on their Design Team plus the great submissions- what a wonderful place to visit each week!

To create this card:

Using the Big Shot and the Elegant Lines EF, emboss a piece of Whisper White and spray with Frost White Shimmer Paint.

Emboss a piece of Marina Mist with the Vintage Wallpaper EF and using the “debossed” side, sponge on Whisper White craft ink. Round off the edges with the Corner Rounder Punch.  Attach the 5/8” Whisper White Satin Ribbon.

Cut a piece of striped Bashful Blue DSP and round off the edges with the Corner Rounder Punch.  Stamp the floral image from Happiness Shared with Marina Mist ink on Whisper White (this image looks more like purple since I actually forgot to clean the stamp first and it had Cherry Cobbler ink from a previous card-oops!- so I repeated the Cherry Cobbler, stamp off numerous times, then Marina Mist for the thank you sentiment to match the ink:-)).

Using the Circle Cutter Plus, cut a 3” circle from Marina Mist, adhere the focal image and add a pearl in the center of the flower.

Finish the card off with the sentiment from Short & Sweet and punch out with the Word Window Punch.  Use the Modern Label Punch with Bashful Blue for the final layer.

Stamp Sets:  Happiness Shared
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue
Ink: Marina Mist (mixed with Cherry Cobbler by mistake), Craft Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Elegant Lines and Vintage Wallpaper EF, Bashful Blue DSP,  Corner Rounder, Word Window and Modern Label Punches,  Circle Cutter Plus, 5/8” Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Pearls, Frost White Shimmer Paint

Thanks again for stopping by and I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas week!

PPA73 CAS Lace in Place!

Hi Stampers!    I created this card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts PPA73 CAS Lace in Place!  Challenge (see http://www.palspaperarts.com/).  Once again, the Design Team as well as all of the other entries have done a fabulous job!

For me it is difficult to create a CAS card- I always want to add more pearls or brads:-)
I still feel that I may add more embellishments to this one before I mail it, but I wanted to share it with you and if you have time, please post a comment to let me know if you think it needs "more":-)

To create this card:

Emboss a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock using the Big Shot along with the Square Lattice EF.

Adhere a piece of 5/8” Old Olive Satin Ribbon and 5/8” Victoria Trim onto a pice of Concord Crush cardstock.

Stamp the Fast & Fabulous floral image using Concord Crush ink (I actually used the SU! Marker versus the inkpad since I did not have the pad within arm’s reach) onto Very Vanilla cardstock and color with SU! Pear Pizzazz and Marina Mist markers.  Spritz with the Concord Crush marker and sponge the edges with Concord Crush ink (again you can use the marker and apply the ink from the marker to the Sponge Dauber versus the ink pad).  Layer this focal image onto Very Vanilla cardstock.

Stamp the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto Very Vanilla cardstock, punch out with the small oval punch and also punch a Very Vannilla oval using the Medium Oval Punch.  Sponge the edges of the smaller oval with Concord Crush.

Layer and adhere to the Concord Crush background.  Spray entire card with Frost White Shimmer Pain (mixed with 70% alcohol).  Layer onto Very Vanilla to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Fast and Fabulous (Hostess Level II), Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz
Ink: Concord Crush

Accessories: Big Shot, Square Lattice EF, Sponge Dauber, Color Spritzer Tool, SU! Concord Crush, Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz Markers, Small and Medium Oval Punch, 5/8” Old Olive Satin Ribbon, 5/8” Victoria Crochet Trim, Frost White Shimmer Paint

Thanks again for visiting- I hope you have a blessed week celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ!

CQC63 Thinking of You

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to participate in this week’s ColourQ Challenge CQC63 (http://colourq.blogspot.com/ ) and although the colors were a bit of a challenge for me, the Design Team outdid themselves again with their gorgeous samples.

This card utilizes several pieces of cardstock that I had previously embossed with the Big Shot and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder (EF) along with other strips of cardstock from the color challenge.  It is a fairly easy card to create – very little stamping and mostly layering and a few punches.

First stamp the medium floral image from Greenhouse Garden in Rudy Red (stamped off for the first step of the 2-Step Stamping) on Whisper White and use the second stamp with Ruby Red for the center of the flower and for the sentiment.  Punch the floral image out with the 1 3/8” Circle Punch and layer this onto a Ruby Red layer punched from the Decorative XL Label Punch.  Use the Word Window and Modern Label Punch to create the border for the sentiment and add Dazzling Diamonds and Pearls to finish off both elements.

Punch the lower edge of Kiwi Kiss with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch and layer over the Bermuda Bay. Add this to a layer of Whisper White that has an embossed edge on the bottom.  Add lace (this lace was from my sewing stash), the Chocolate Chip embossed layer, the Ruby Red layer and another layer of embossed Chocolate Chip and final layer of Bermuda Bay.

Add the 5/8” Whisper White Satin Ribbon bow and the focal image along with the sentiment to finish the card.

Stamp Sets:  Garden Greenhouse, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and retired Bermuda Bay, Kiwi Kiss and Ruby Red
Ink: Ruby Red
Accessories: Big Shot, Square Lattice EF, Pinking Hearts Border, 1 3/8” Circle, Decorative Label XL , Word Window and Modern Label Punches, Pearls, Dazzling Diamonds, 5/8” Whisper White Satin Ribbon , Non SU! lace from my stash

Thanks again for visiting - I hope you enjoy this card and that all of you have a wonderful week preparing for Christmas!

PP28 Favorite Color Combination Challenge

Hi Stampers!

I created this card for the PP28 Favorite Color Combination at The Paper Players (http://www.thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/).  The samples this week are incorporating some fabulous color combinations- when you get a chance, check out the beautiful Design Team cards along with all of the other wonderful entries- as usual, the inspiration abounds!

I had a difficult time with this challenge because I love all of the SU! colors, but lately  Early Espresso has been one of my favorites so I decided to focus on muted colors to allow the Early Espresso to be the focal color.

To create this card:

Using the Big Shot, emboss a Crumb Cake panel with the Square Lattice EF.

With Early Espresso ink, stamp a piece of Whisper White with the main floral image from Elements of Style and color the image with Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi SU! Markers.  Use a Sponge Dauber with Crumb Cake ink to distress the Whisper White portion of the cardstock with another with Early Espresso along the edges.  Using an Early Espresso marker along with the Color Spritzer Tool to “spritz” over the stamped image.

Layer the image onto Crumb Cake and Early Espresso cardstock- punch the edge using the Scallop Trim Border Punch and add the pearl detail.

Finish off the card with 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon and the sentiment.

Stamp Sets:  Elements of Style, Thoughts & Prayers
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Accessories: Big Shot, Square Lattice EF, SU! Markers, Medium Oval and Scallop Trim Border Punch, Color Spritzer Tool, Sponge Daubers, 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, Pearls

Thanks again for stopping by and reading your comments brings such joy to my day!  I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!

Another Christmas Card with Two Challenges in One!

Hi Again Stampers!

I created this card using the Stamping 411 with the Operators Sketch Challenge SSC181 - see all of the wonderful samples and design team creations at http://www.stamping411.blogspot.com/).  I also used the colors in this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Challenge#CCMC128- please see their gorgeous creations at http://www.createwithconieandmary.com/

To create this card:

Ink the background stamp, Christmas Collage with Night of Navy on River Rock cardstock.  Cut out the portion of the stamp that you wish to highlight and color the images with SU! Watercolor Pencils (do not use water- just dry).

Sponge the edges with Night of Navy and adhere to Night of Navy cardstock.  Layer this onto River Rock and another layer of Night of Navy (use the Scallop Trim Border Punch along the lower edge).  Adhere pearls along the edge.

Run the Finial Press EF with the Big Shot along the top edge of the River Rock background layer and lightly sponge with Night of Navy.  Spray this layer with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint ( I used the heat gun to speed the drying process).

Stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy and layer the 5/8” Rich Razzleberry Satin Ribbon and Victoria Crochet Lace Trim.  Adhere this entire layer onto Night of Navy cardstock and then onto River Rock.

Stamp Sets:  Christmas Collage, Christmas Greetings
Cardstock:  River Rock, Night of Navy
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories: Big Shot, Finial Press EF, SU! Watercolor Pencils, Sponge Daubers, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 5/8” Rich Razzleberry Satin Ribbon, Pearls

Merry Christmas- Two Challenges in One!

Hi Again, Stampers!
I created this card for the PP27 Christmas Theme Challenge at The Paper Players (www.thepaperplayers.blogspot.com) and I incorporated the Pals Paper Arts PPA72 Challenge- Winter Whites (www.palspaperarts.com).

When you get a chance, check out both sites for their gorgeous Design Team samples and all of the other terrific entries- as usual, they are so inspiring!

To create this card:

Using the Big Shot, emboss a Whisper White panel with the Petals-A-Plenty EF and apply Frost White Shimmer Paint spray.

Use the Embossing Buddy on a smaller piece of Whisper White and stamp the tree image from Snow Swirled in Versamark ink and heat emboss with White EP.  Use Sponge Dauber with Crumb Cake over the embossed images and gently wipe off the ink from the embossing.  Layer this onto another piece of Whisper White.  Using 2-Way Glue, apply glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter over the swirls and adhere the small pearls in the center of the snowflake images and a medium pearl at the top.

Layer the tree image onto the embossed panel.  Punch out two snowflakes using the Snowflake Punch, gently sponge Crumb Cake on the edges and apply Dazzling Diamonds glitter with the 2-Way Glue Pen and adhere a medium pearl in the center of each snowflake.  Attach to the card using mini glue dots.

Stamp the sentiment onto another piece of Whisper White with Crumb Cake ink and punch the bottom with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch.  Apply 2-Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds along the punched edge.  Adhere to card and add the 5/8” Whisper White Satin Ribbon Bow.

This card has alot of sheen and sparkle that the camera could not pick up very well- it is hard to take a photo of glitter (the close-up picture shows it a little better) :-)

Stamp Sets:  Snow Swirled, Christmas Greetings
Cardstock:  Whisper White
Ink: Crumb Cake, Versamark
Accessories: Big Shot, Petals-A-Plenty EF, Embossing Buddy, Winter EP, Heat Gun, Pinking Hearts Border and Snowflake Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Frost White Shimmer Paint, 5/8” Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Pearls

Merry Christmas- CAS Challenges!

Hi Stampers!

I created this CAS (Clean and Simple) card for the SUO Challenge #7 – quick to reproduce Christmas cards (see http://suochallenges.com/) and the Splitcoast CAS99- Ways to Use Bows (see the gallery of other CAS99 entries at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=all&si=CAS96&what=keywords ).

To create this card:

Using the Big Shot, emboss a Whisper White panel with the Petals-A-Plenty EF.

On smaller piece of Whisper White, use the berry type wheat stamp from Autumn Days and stamp in a circular pattern first with Always Artichoke and repeat with Cherry Cobbler to create the wreath.  Punch the lower edge of this panel with the Eyelet Border Punch and sponge the edges with Always Artichoke.

Stamp the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler and attach the bow.

Stamp Sets: Autumn Days, Christmas Greetings
Cardstock:  Whisper White
Ink: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler

PPA71 Merry Christmas

Hi Stampers!

I created this card using the colors from this week’s Pals Paper Arts PPA71 Challenge (see http://www.palspaperarts.com/).  If you get a chance, stop by their site to check out the great samples from The Pals Paper Arts Design Team along with all of the other wonderful entries.

Since I never throw out a punch out or stencil- just in case:-), this card compiles quite a few of those”extras” along with other scraps from previous projects.

To create this card:

Using the Big Shot and the Snowflake #2 Die, cut out a snowflake from Whisper White cardstock.  FYI- Here is mistake #1- I originally used this snowflake as a stencil with a Sponge Dauber and had sponged Regal Rose onto a Whisper White circle for another sketch challenge and then stamped the medium snowflake from Northern Hearts in Early Espresso.  I was not entirely thrilled with the stenciled circle (but of course, I kept it just in case:-) and I decided to use the stencil snowflake piece instead.

I already had a two pieces of cardstock previously embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper EF- a piece of Pear Pizzazz (also sprayed with Frost White Shimmer) and a narrow piece of Early Espresso (sprayed with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint).

Using the Big Shot, I embossed a piece of Regal Rose with the Square Lattice EF, layered this onto Whisper White and assembled the rest of the layers.  Using the 1 3/8” Circle Punch with Early Espresso for the circle in the center of the Snowflake stencil and the Snowflake Punch with Whisper White for the embellishment in the middle of the circle.

Finished off with the sentiment from Christmas Greetings, Rhinestone and a 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon bow.

Stamp Sets:  Northern Hearts (Holiday Mini Hostess Level I), Christmas Greetings
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Regal Rose
Ink: Early Espresso, Regal Rose
Accessories: Big Shot, Snowflake #2 Die, Square Lattice and Vintage Wallpaper EF, Sponge Dauber, 1 3/8” Circle Punch, Snowflake Punch, 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, Rhinestone, Frost White and Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (mixed with 70% Alcohol).

Thanks again for visiting- I hope all of you have a wonderful week!

Merry Christmas- PP26 and CQC61 Challenge #2

Hi Stampers!
I wanted to create another card using this week’s ColourQ Challenge CQC61 ( http://colourq.blogspot.com/) and also heat (wet) embossing for The Paper Players Challenge PP26 (see http://www.thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/ ).  Again, if you have not had a chance to check out their sites, please stop by to see all of the wonderful ideas from their Design Teams as well as all of the other entries.

I decided to use the Emboss Resist technique along with multiple layers of embossing.

To create this card:

De-static a piece of Whisper White with the Embossing Buddy and using Versamark ink, randomly stamp the large , medium and small snowflake images from Northern Hearts (Holiday Mini Hostess Level I) set from the Holiday Mini).  Heat emboss with Clear EP.  Using several Sponge Daubers- the first one with Tempting Turquoise, the second with Pacific Point, the third using Wild Wasabi and the last one with Soft Suede apply ink randomly over the snowflakes and gently wipe off the embossed areas to remove the excess ink.

De-static the cardstock again and using Versamark ink, stamp a few more snowflakes and heat emboss with Winter White EP.

Layer this panel onto Whisper White and trim allowing enough WW cardstock to stamp the sentiment and punch the border with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  Stamp the sentiment using Pacific Point ink and adhere the 5/8” Whisper White Satin Ribbon bow.

Using Versamark, stamp the large snowflake onto Wild Wasabi cardstock and layer this onto Pacific Point.  Add Rhinestones to the center of the snowflakes and along the scallop trim edge.

Stamp Sets:  Northern Hearts (Holiday Mini Hostess level I), Christmas Greetings
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi
Ink: Versamark, Pacific Point, Soft Suede, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Embossing Buddy, Clear and Winter White EP, Heat Gun, Sponge Daubers, Rhinestones, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 5/8” Whisper White Satin Ribbon

Thanks again for visiting and for all of your encouraging comments- I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!

UPDATE- I was so honored to find out that this card was chosen as the "Headliner" for the PP26 Challenge!

Christmas Magic with CQC61 and PP26 Challenge!

Hi Stampers!

I created this card using this week’s ColourQ Challenge CQC61 ( http://colourq.blogspot.com) and also the Wet (Heat) Embossing Challenge for The Paper Players PP26 (see http://www.thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/ ). Please take a moment to check out their sites and the beautiful samples created by their Design Teams as well as all of the other inspirational entries.

To create this card:

De-static a piece of Whisper White with the Embossing Buddy and using Versamark ink,  stamp the medallion image from Day of Gratitude and heat emboss with Clear EP.  Using several Sponge Daubers- the first one with Tempting Turquoise for the center, the second with Pacific Point on the middle area,  the third  using Wild Wasabi and the last one with Soft Suede for the edges and beyond the edge.

Line the ornament punch up with one of the points of the medallion and in the center of the punch area- punch out two ornaments.  Sponge additional Soft Suede over the point of the ornament to fill in the Whisper White.  Also punch out an ornament from Wild Wasabi (I used a scrap piece that had been embossed with the Big Shot and the Finial Press EF).  Ink the punched ornaments with Versamark and heat emboss with Iridescent Ice EP.

Use the Big Shot and the Northern Flurry EF to emboss a piece of Tempting Turquoise.  Rub the Versamark pad over the raised areas of the snowflake and emboss with Iridescent Ice EP (the card and the ornaments really sparkle).    Stamp the sentiment in the upper right hand corner with Pacific Point ink.  Ink the large snowflake image from Northern Hearts (Holiday Mini Hostess Level I set) with Versamark and stamp over the sentiment.

Use Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon and pearls to finish off the ornaments and layer onto Pacific Point and Whisper White cardstock.

Stamp Sets:  Day of Gratitude, Northern Hearts (Holiday Mini Hostess level I), Occasional Quotes (2010-11 Idea Book & Catalog Hostess Level II)
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi
Ink: Versamark, Pacific Point, Soft Suede, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Big Shot, Finial Press and Northern Flurry EF, Embossing Buddy, Clear and Iridescent Ice EP, Heat Gun, Sponge Daubers, Pearls, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon

Thanks again for visiting and for all of your encouragement- I hope all of you have a blessed week!
