World of Dreams Birthday :-)

Hi Again Stampers!

I have another card to share- this one was created using the bright colors from this week’s FUSION Challenge along with the Create withConnie and Mary CCMC307 Sketch Challenge (turned the sketch on it's side).

Again, I hope you have had a chance to visit the challenge sites- so many different interpretations of the challenges!!

To create this Clean and Layered (CAL) card:

Using Stampin’ Write Markers- Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush and Tangelo Twist color the Postively Chevron background stamp.  Lay a piece of Whisper White cardstock over the stamp and randomly press the paper to the ink, lifting off carefully.

Trim and layer onto a piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock, trim again mounting onto Tangelo Twist cardstock and adhere to the Basic Black card base.

Create the banner from the Back to Black Designer Series Paper (DSP) and mount onto Basic Black cardstock.  Adhere to the card front and add a strip of Basic Black cardstock.

Stamp the image from Wonderful Dream using Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock (I darkened the image using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker).

Cut out using the Big Shot™ along with the Oval Collections Framelits™ and mount onto another oval cut from Tangelo Twist cardstock.   Add the Strawberry Slush circles at the top and bottom of the oval (created from a 2 ½” XL Circle cut in half) and mount the entire panel onto a Basic Black Oval (cut from the Oval Collections Framelits™).

Mount the focal image onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.  Stamp the flowers using Petite Petals using Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink onto Strawberry Slush and Tangelo Twist cardstock.  Punch out using the Pansy Punch and mount onto the card front- highlight the centers using a Chalk Marker.

Ink the sentiment using Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink and stamp into the corner to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: World of Dreams, Petite Petals, Petite Pairs, Positively Chevron

Ink: Memento™ Tuxedo Black, Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush, Tangelo Twist, Stampin’ Write Marker- Basic Black, Chalk Marker

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Strawberry Slush, Tangelo Twist, Back to Black DSP

DD93 Sew Glad We're Friends

Hi Stampers!

It’s time for the DD93 “Subtly Yours” Dynamic Duo Challenge combining Blushing Bride and Sahara Sand.

I hope that you will find the time to stop by and check out the rest of the fabulous Dynamic Duos Design Team projects and create one of your own using this week’s colors - we would love to have you join us!!

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Blushing Bride Designer Series Paper (DSP) and to the lower half of a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock and lightly distress the edge with your fingernail.

Using My Digital Studio™ (MDS), insert the vintage sewing machine from Puns from the Past stamp brush set, re-size the image and print out onto Whisper White cardstock- color the image using Stampin’ Write markers- Blushing Bride and Sahara Sand.

Distress the edges using the Distressing Tool, sponge the edges using the Sponge Dauber with Sahara Sand Classic Ink and add a bit more distressing from the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge (also inked with Sahara Sand Classic Ink).

Emboss a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock using the Big Shot™ along with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, trim and mount onto the upper half of the Blushing Bride cardstock layer.

Add one half of a White Tea Lace Paper Doily along with the ½” Blushing Bride Grosgrain Ribbon to cover the edges of the DSP/cardstock layer.

Layer the distress sewing machine image onto a piece of Modern Medley DSP (embossed with the retired Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, lightly sanded and distressed).   Add the scrap piece of lace to the lower edge and a scrap piece of the Blushing Bride ribbon to the upper edge.   Add to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Create the rolled flowers using the 2 3/8” and 1 ¾” Scallop Punches (punch out the scallop circles from Blushing Bride cardstock, crimp with the Crimper Tool, wavy cut a spiral toward the center, roll the flower from the outside edge toward the center and adhere- see tutorial here ).  Add the Sahara Sand leaves created from the Petite Petals Punch.

Use the distressing tool to distress the sentiment and create the banner using the Hexagon Punch for the “points”. Use the Piercing Tool to create a hole to add the Vintage Trinket safety pin and adhere the end of the banner using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Adhere the rolled roses (I used a Hot Glue Gun) and Pearls to the upper and lower corners of the card base and also the upper left hand corner of the sewing machine layer to finish off the card.

Floral Butterfly Card- Five Stamps and Four Punches

Hi Stampers!

Again, if you have not already visited their sites,  I hope you will find the time to do so since inspiration truly abounds!

I decided to get back to basics a bit with this card- watercolor, sponging, punching and tearing (did not even use the Big Shot™ at all :-))

To create this card:

Use the  AquaPainter™ to apply a light coat of Rose Red Classic Ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock in a random sweep pattern.  Allow to dry and stamp the Off the Grid and Gorgeous Grunge stamps using Midnight Muse Classic Ink.

Stamp a few flowers from Petite Petals using Midnight Muse Classic Ink and create a mask for the flowers using cardstock or a sticky note.  Mask the first flower, re-ink the stampo with Midnight Muse Classic Ink and stamp the second flower, re-mask, re-ink and continue to add flowers to the background.

Tear the edge of the paper on a diagonal and use a Sponge Dauber to add Midnight Muse Classic Ink to the edges.   Adhere to a piece of Whisper White cardstock approx. 4” x 5 ¼”.

Stamp the sentiment from Love and Sympathy in the corner using Midnight Muse Classic Ink and stamp the Petite Petals (do not re-ink the flower stamp, just huff to re-moisten the ink from the step above, stamp the first flower, mask and stamp again).

Add a bit of Rose Red ink to the edge using a Sponge Dauber and mount the entire panel onto a piece of Rose Red cardstock and again onto the Midnight Muse card base.

Stamp the butterfly image from Papillon Potpourri three times onto Whisper White cardstock , punch out using the Elegant Butterfly Punch and adhere to the card front.

Create the paper bow using the Large Oval Punch- punch two Large Ovals from Midnight Muse cardstock, curl with the Bone Folder, adhere to create the bow loops, add to a scrap strip of Midnight Muse cardstock and add the two tails (banner points created with the Hexagon Punch).

Stamp an additional flower using the Petite Petals stamp with Midnight Muse Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, punch out using the Petite Petals Punch and adhere to the center of the paper bow.

Add Pearls to the center of the flowers and butterflies to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Papillon Potpourri, Petite Petals, Off the Grid, Gorgeous Grunge, Love and Sympathy

Ink: Midnight Muse, Rose Red

Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Rose Red

Accessories: AquaPainter™, Sponge Daubers, Punches- Petite Petal, Elegant Butterfly, Large Oval, Hexagon (for banner), Pearls

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope all of you have a marvelous Monday!

DD92 Bold and Sassy "Thinking of You"

Hi Stampers!

Another week has gone by and now it is time for the DD92 “Bold and Sassy” Dynamic Duo Challenge combining Midnight Muse and Rose Red and the LOVEFEST2014I Lots of Layers Splitcoaststampers Challenge.    I decided to "pull out the punches", so to speak, for this one :-)

I hope that you will find the time to stop by and check out the rest of the fabulous Dynamic Duos Design Team projects and create one of your own using this week’s colors - we would love to have you join us!!

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP)- I already had this one previously embossed and ready to go from the retired DSP,  Summer Smooches.

Lightly sand the DSP to bring out the white core and adhere onto a piece of Midnight Muse cardstock.

Stamp the sentiment from Wetlands using Midnight Muse Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and adhere to Midnight Muse cardstock (I also used scrap strips to give the illusion of a solid piece behind the sentiment- now you know all of my secrets :-)).

Mount the sentiment onto the card front lining up the edge with the Midnight Muse layer.
Emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Big Shot™ along with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, trim and mount onto Midnight Muse cardstock and add to the card front.

Using a brayer, apply Rose Red Classic Ink in a graduated manner onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Repeatedly stamp the leaf image from Petal Parade using Midnight Muse Classic Ink, punch out using the 1 ¼” Square Punch.  Layer onto Midnight Muse cardstock and trim.

Stamp the flowers from Petite Petals using Midnight Muse Classic Ink onto Rose Red cardstock and punch out using the Petite Petal Punch.  Adhere to the corner of the squares and add a Pearl to the center of the flower.

Trim the background panel and adhere to a piece of Whisper White cardstock and again onto the Midnight Muse card base.

Create the paper bow using the Large Oval Punch- punch out two ovals from Rose Red cardstock, curl with the Bone Folder and adhere to create the bow portion, add the two sides of the bow to a small scrap of paper, create the tails using the Hexagon punch and adhere below the bow.

Mount the two squares to the embossed panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals® and add the bow.  Add a few Midnight Muse leaves using the Bird Builder Punch and a flower to the center (created in the same manner as above).

Stamp the butterflies from Papillon Potpourri using Midnight Muse Classic Ink and punch out using the Elegant Butterfly Punch and Bitty Butterfly Punch.

Add the butterflies to the card front and finish off with the Pearl stands for the butterfly bodies :-)

Stamp Sets:  Petal Parade, Papillon Potpourri, Wetlands, Petite Petals
Ink: Midnight Muse, Rose Red
Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Rose Red, retired Summer Smooches DSP
Accessories: Big Shot™, Pretty Print and Fancy Fan Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders, Punches- Large Oval, Hexagon, Bitty Butterfly, Elegant Butterfly, 1 ¼” Square, Bird Builder, Petite Petal, Pearls, Sanding Block

DD85 Petite Petals Anniversary

Hi Stampers!

This week’s DD85 “Bright & Cheery” Dynamic Duo Challenge combines Garden Green with Summer Starfruit.  I thought that this color combination looked like spring so chose to create a floral card:-)

I hope that you will stop by and check out the rest of the Design Team projects and create a project of your own using the two colors - we would love to have you join us!!

 To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Trim the outer edge and adhere the ¼” Grosgrain Ribbon (wrapping the edges behind the Whisper White embossed panel).

Mount the embossed panel onto a piece of Garden Green cardstock and again onto the Summer Starfruit card front.

Using a brayer, lightly apply Summer Starfruit Classic Ink in a random pattern onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Using Garden Green Classic Ink, stamp the Flowering Flourishes image over the brayered area and add additional detail using the En Francais background stamp (also inked with Garden Green Classic Ink but stamping off once before applying to the brayered/stamped piece).   If necessary, fill in any of the areas of the Flowering Flourishes image using a Garden Green Stampin’ Write marker.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Deco Labels Framelits™ to cut focal image piece and a piece of Garden Green cardstock.  Layer the floral panel onto the Garden Green frame (cut the Garden Green frame in half horizontally in the center and split apart a bit to adhere behind the floral focal image).

Mount the focal image panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Repeatedly stamp the Petite Petals stamp using Garden Green Classic Ink onto Summer Starfruit cardstock (re-inking the stamp for each impression) and use the Petite Petals Punch to punch out the flowers and adhere to the panel using Mini Glue Dots.

Stamp the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes using Garden Green Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punch out using the Word Window Punch.  Mount the sentiment onto a punched Modern Label piece from Garden Green cardstock- add to the focal image and card front using a Stampin’ Dimensional®.

Using an AquaPainter™ add Frost White Shimmer Paint to the petals and background layer.  Add the Pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Petite Petals (2014 Occasions Mini), Flowering Flourishes, En Francais, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Garden Green, Summer Starfruit

Paper: Whisper White, Garden Green, Summer Starfruit

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Deco Label Framelits™, Brayer, Punches- Petite Petals, Word Window, Modern Label, Pearls, retired Frost White Shimmer Paint, AquaPainter™, ¼” Green Grosgrain Ribbon (from my stash)
