He Is Risen Indeed!! Happy Resurrection Sunday!

Happy Resurrection Sunday!!

We had a lovely service this morning celebrating our Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!!   I am so thankful that Jesus came to earth as a man, paid the penalty for our sins upon the cross and rose again on the third day!! He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!!

I wanted to share one more Easter card that I created using the DD99 “Black Tie” Challenge (Basic Black and Rich Razzleberry) and the SplitcoaststampersTLC477 “What’s the Point” Technique Challenge along with a bit of a more stylized cross from the set, Crosses of Hope.

To create this card:

Open a blank document in My Digital Studio (MDS) and position the cross from Crosses of Hope and re-size.  Also position the “Easter” sentiment from Well Scripted and the “Happy” from Fabulous Phrases.  Print onto a 8 ½ x 11” piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Use a Circle Collection Framelit™ as a guide and using the pointillism technique, create the background (I used a Pilot V5 gel pen).  Carefully cut the cross from the lower edge to the center area, bend up a bit to position the Circle Framelit™ and use the Big Shot™ to cut out the circle around the cross.

Use a Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write marker to color the cross and use the Pilot V5 pen to create additional depth in the black areas of the cross.

Use a Sponge Dauber with Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink to color the background around the cross.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock and adhere the cardfront onto the Rich Razzleberry card base.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Paper Doily Sizzlit L™ to cut out a doily from Whisper White cardstock and the Window Frame Collection Framelits™ to cut out the window frame from a piece of Basic Black cardstock.

Adhere the cross to the window frame and doily and add to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Punch the sentiment out using the XL Oval Punch and adhere to a Basic Black XL Oval piece – adhere behind the window frame and add to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

To finish off the card, add Rhinestones to the cross, sentiment and the retired Frosted Finishes Embellishment to the center.

Stamp Sets:  Crosses of Hope, Well Scripted, Fabulous Phrases (all MDS versions)

Ink: Printer Ink- Black, Rich Razzleberry, Stampin’ Write Marker- Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry

Accessories: Big Shot™, Circle Collection and Window Frames Collection Framelits™, Paper Doily Sizzlit L™, Framed Tulip Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, XL Oval Punch, Sponge Dauber, Rhinestones, retired Frosted Finishes embellishment, Pilot V5 Pen

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope all of you have a fabulous Resurrection Sunday and wonderful week!!

John 14:6- I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life

Hi Stampers!

I had a chance to play in my craft room this weekend and decided to create a card for the Our Daily Bread Designs ODBDSLC194 Challenge to use Amethyst, Lavender or any purple in honor of their Anniversary.    I hope you will have a chance to visit and check out the wonderful Design projects!

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ along with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock and again onto a piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock.

Ink the John 14:6 stamp from John’s Chalkboard using Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Trim and mount onto a piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock and adhere to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.
Create the rolled flowers from Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White cardstock (use the 2 3/8” and 1 ¾” Scallop Circle Punches- punch the scallop circles, hand cut a wavy spiral from the outside of the scallop circle toward the center, use the retired Crimper Tool to distress a bit, roll up from the outside edge and adhere using Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive or a Hot Glue Gun).  Here is a tutorial from Splitcoaststampers showing the rolled flower technique :-)
Create the leaves from Pear Pizzazz cardstock with the Bird Builder Punch and add along with the rolled flowers to the card front (I used a Hot Glue Gun).
Stamp Sets: Chalkboard- John’s (Our Daily Bread Designs)
Ink: Wisteria Wonder
Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Big Shot™, Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders, Punches: Bird Builder, Scallop Circle- 2 3/8”, 1 ¾”

DD85 Petite Petals Anniversary

Hi Stampers!

This week’s DD85 “Bright & Cheery” Dynamic Duo Challenge combines Garden Green with Summer Starfruit.  I thought that this color combination looked like spring so chose to create a floral card:-)

I hope that you will stop by and check out the rest of the Design Team projects and create a project of your own using the two colors - we would love to have you join us!!

 To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Trim the outer edge and adhere the ¼” Grosgrain Ribbon (wrapping the edges behind the Whisper White embossed panel).

Mount the embossed panel onto a piece of Garden Green cardstock and again onto the Summer Starfruit card front.

Using a brayer, lightly apply Summer Starfruit Classic Ink in a random pattern onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Using Garden Green Classic Ink, stamp the Flowering Flourishes image over the brayered area and add additional detail using the En Francais background stamp (also inked with Garden Green Classic Ink but stamping off once before applying to the brayered/stamped piece).   If necessary, fill in any of the areas of the Flowering Flourishes image using a Garden Green Stampin’ Write marker.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Deco Labels Framelits™ to cut focal image piece and a piece of Garden Green cardstock.  Layer the floral panel onto the Garden Green frame (cut the Garden Green frame in half horizontally in the center and split apart a bit to adhere behind the floral focal image).

Mount the focal image panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Repeatedly stamp the Petite Petals stamp using Garden Green Classic Ink onto Summer Starfruit cardstock (re-inking the stamp for each impression) and use the Petite Petals Punch to punch out the flowers and adhere to the panel using Mini Glue Dots.

Stamp the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes using Garden Green Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punch out using the Word Window Punch.  Mount the sentiment onto a punched Modern Label piece from Garden Green cardstock- add to the focal image and card front using a Stampin’ Dimensional®.

Using an AquaPainter™ add Frost White Shimmer Paint to the petals and background layer.  Add the Pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Petite Petals (2014 Occasions Mini), Flowering Flourishes, En Francais, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Garden Green, Summer Starfruit

Paper: Whisper White, Garden Green, Summer Starfruit

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Deco Label Framelits™, Brayer, Punches- Petite Petals, Word Window, Modern Label, Pearls, retired Frost White Shimmer Paint, AquaPainter™, ¼” Green Grosgrain Ribbon (from my stash)

Thanks again for stopping by!  I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and find the time to play along with us at the Dynamic Duos!

Vellum Flowers and Butterflies- Another Floral Birthday :-)

Hi Stampers!!

I hope all of you are having a great weekend so far!! I understand today is Canada Day- so happy Canada Day to all of my Canadian friends!!

I wanted to create a card with this week’s DD59 Dynamic Duo Challenge Colors (Basic Gray and you pick the second color) and I decided to choose Pink Pirouette.  I have a great friend who just loves pink and loves to stamp, so whenever I can I try to use pink for her :-).

If you have had the chance to visit the Dynamic Duos, try to stop by sometime this week- they always have a number of entries plus they have a wonderful Design Team!!  Again, tremendous inspiration!!

To create this card:

Repeatedly stamp the flowers from Flower Shop and butterfly from Papillon Potpourri using Basic Gray Classic Ink onto Vellum (I have not used Vellum in a while and love this technique).

Once the ink has dried, flip the image over onto the Stampin’ Pierce™ Mat (this mat is not only great for paper piercing but also for stamping and this vellum technique).  Use a stylus and gently rub the stylus over all of the white areas in the flower images and butterflies.

Use the Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write marker to add a bit of pink to back of the blossoms (to appears as though they are dogwood blossoms) and also to the back of the butterflies (you are coloring over the area that you just rubbed the stylus).

If desired, add a bit of Pink Pirouette to the front of the blossoms as well.  Punch out the butterflies using the Elegant Butterfly Punch and hand cut the flowers (you could use the Pansy Punch but you will have a border around the edge when using the punch).

Ink the blossom stamp from Blooming with Kindness using Pink Pirouette ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Use the Big Shot™ and one of the Deco Labels Framelits™ to cut a frame from the Bloomin’ with Kindness image and also cut another frame the same size from Basic Gray cardstock.  Cut the Basic Gray frame in half horizontally and trim the edges so only the top portion shows as a frame behind the focal image.

Stamp the sentiment from Wetlands (love these sentiments) using Basic Gray Classic Ink directly onto the Deco Label image.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock and trim the outside edge a bit.  Layer this onto Basic Gray cardstock and again onto Pink Pirouette.

Adhere a piece of Basic Gray Designer Series Paper (I used a piece from a retired Level I Hostess Pack) and add the layered Deco Label with Stampin’ Dimensionals®.  Adhere the vellum flowers and butterflies using Mini Glue Dots, add the Pearls to the butterflies and ribbon at the top to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Flower Shop, Blooming with Kindness, Papillon Potpourri, Wetlands

Ink: Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, Stampin’ Write Marker- Pink Pirouette

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, retired Basic Gray DSP

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Deco Labels Framelits™, Elegant Butterfly Punch,Stampin' Pierce Mat, Stylus, Pearls, Basic Gray ribbon (from my stash)

Birthday Wishes- Watercolor Flower Shop :-)

Hi Stampers!

I hope all of you are having a great week so far!   While I had all of the new 2013-2015 In Colors out to create a card for the Fab Friday FabFri20 Challenge, I decided to create one more card for the challenge with bits of pieces that had been created during the initial card design process – again, if you have a chance, stop by the Fab Friday site  for fabulous inspiration!

Originally this card started out as a watercolor background but I was not happy with the results so I modified it to create the finished card…

To create this card:

Using Baked Brown Sugar, stamp the floral images onto Whisper White cardstock.  Use the AquaPainter™ and pick up ink from Crisp Cantaloupe and Strawberry Slush Classic Ink Pads to fill in the blossoms of the flowers.  Use the Stampin’ Write Early Espresso marker to darken and add a bit of texture to the middle of the flowers.

FYI- Originally I had masked the flowers and stamped off for the lighter colors and had a watercolor background of Cool Cabana behind the flowers- I was not pleased with the result so I decided to fussy-cut the flowers out and adhere to the card.   This is another example of how a mistake can be used later in another way :-)

Use the Big Shot™ with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Basic Black cardstock.  Adhere to a piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock and mount onto the Whisper White card base.

Add the embossed Whisper White panel (using the Large Scallop Framelit and Delicate Designs "Lace"Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder) and the embossed Pistachio Pudding panel.

Stamp the script image from Notable Notions using Cool Cabana Classic Ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Create the leaves from Pistachio Pudding cardstock with the Bird Builder Punch and add along with the watercolored flowers to the focal panel.

Stamp the sentiment from Wetlands using Cool Cabana Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punch out with the Large Oval Punch.  Layer Strawberry Slush cardstock behind the sentiment and add to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Flower Shop, Notable Notions, Wetlands

Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Cool Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, Stampin’ Write Early Espresso marker

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Framed Tulips, Fancy Fan and Delicate Designs (Lace) Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders, Large Oval Punch

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope all of you have a wonderful day!

Happy Easter- Playing with The Paper Players

Hi Stampers!!

I had another chance to stamp this evening (one of my favorite things to do :-)) and to create an Easter card using the fabulous spring colors in the PP136 Challenge at The Paper Players and this also qualifies for the Stampin' Up! Only SUO66 Challenge- Easter Parade:-)

I believe that both of these sites, The Paper Players and SUO Challenges have very talented design teams,  and if you have not had a chance to visit their sites yet, I highly encourage you to do so (trust me, you will not be disappointed :-)).

**** 03/28/13**** This card also qualifies for the StillADDinktive Spot that Easter Stamp Easter - this challenge site allows you to back link projects that you have created oor create a new project.  I am not sure if I will have the time to stamp another Easter card before Sunday so I decided to share this one:-)

I decided to use Crosses of Hope and while I love and own the stamp set, the cross was not as large as I wanted, so I utilized My Digital Studio to create this “hybrid” card :-)

To create this card:

Open the My Digital Studio program and using a blank page, insert the stamp brush from Crosses of Hope, size to your preference and change the color to Early Espresso (or if you prefer, stamp the cross using Early Espresso Classic Ink).  Print out onto Whisper White cardstock.

Color the flowers and leaves using Stampin’ Write Markers in Pool Party, Regal Rose and Lucky Limeade.  Carefully cut out the cross image and set aside.

Cut a panel of Pool Party and Regal Rose cardstock and overlap in the center (my panel is 3" x 4 1/4") and mount this panel onto Early Espresso cardstock.  Emboss a piece of Vellum using the Big Shot™ and the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and layer over the 3" x 4 1/4" Pool Party/Regal Rose panel (I used a thin layer of Two-Way Glue to adhere the Vellum- dries clear and works great!).

Add the embossed lace paper border (this was a previously embossed piece from my scraps using the Big Shot™ , Large Scallop Edgelit™ and the Delicate Designs (Lace) Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder).  Add the ½” Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon to cover the paper lace layer where it overlaps (right under the top of the horizontal parts of the cross).

Adhere the cross to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals® and add Pearls to the lower right hand corner and to the flowers on the cross.

Emboss a piece of Vellum with the Big Shot™ and Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Layer this Vellum panel onto a piece of Regal Rose Designer Series Paper (I used the striped layer but it is a bit difficult to see the stripes in the photo) and adhere this embossed Vellum panel to an Early Espresso card front, add the layered cross panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Stamp the sentiment using an Early Espresso Stampin' Write marker (so you can omit part of the sentiment to split the words).  Punch out using the Jewelry Punch, add to card front under the area where the bow will be placed using Mini Glue Dots, add the 1/2” Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon Bow with the Antique Brad to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Crosses of Hope (MDS), Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink:  Printer Ink- Early Espresso, Stampin’ Write Markers- Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Regal Rose

Paper: Early Espresso, Pool Party, Regal Rose, Whisper White, Regal Rose Designer Series Paper, Vellum

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Textured Impressions™ Embossing  Folders- Lacy Brocade,  Framed Tulips, Delicate Designs (Lace), Large Scallop Framelit™, Jewelry Tag Punch, ½” Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon, Antique Brad, Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals®, Mini Glue Dots, Two-Way Glue

Thanks again for stopping by!  I hope all of you have a wonderful week and God Bless!

He Is Risen! Two Challenges and Triple Embossing?

Hi Stampers!!

Boy, do the weeks fly by!  Here it is, another week and time for a card for the CQC130 ColourQ Challenge  and the HSSIC111 Easter Theme Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

I chose to create a quick, CAS card using one of my favorite retired Easter sets, Easter Morn.  A bit of heat embossing, marker coloring, die cutting, dry embossing and you are finished!

To create this card:

Heat emboss the image with Stampin’ Emboss® Gold Embossing Powder (used Versamark® ink on Whisper White- this is the first embossing layer).  Color the image using Stampin’ Write markers in Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo.

Emboss a piece of Whisper White with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder (I used a piece of Whisper White cardstock that had been previously embossed) and emboss it again the second time with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder  (this is the third embossing layer :-)).

Frame the image with the Framelits™ Lables Collection and cut two other frames the same size from Melon Mambo (to layer behind the image).

Layer the entire card panel and add the Turquoise Satin Ribbon Bow (from my stash-it is definitely Turquoise IRL- photo appears a bit darker).  This ribbon was one of many that I found at a local outlet store- very pretty and since I love Satin Ribbon, of course, I had to have it:-))

Stamp Sets:  Easter Morn

Ink: Versamark™, Stampin’ Write Markers- Certainly Celery, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise

Paper: Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Square Lattice and Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders, Framelits™ Label Collection Dies, Heat Tool,  Stampin’ Emboss® Gold Embossing PowderTurquoise Satin Ribbon (from my stash)

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope all of you have a wonderful week! Easter is coming- I am so thankful that my Savior Is Risen, He Is Risen indeed!

Two Cards- One Color Challenge!

Hi Stampers!

I had a great day yesterday with my loving husband:-)  He works very long hours through the week and only has a Saturday off once every three to four weeks but this past Saturday we were able to escape for the day to Skyline Drive at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia :-)  We love the nature, serenity and all of the gorgeous vistas- truly a place that we feel closer to God and His Creation- a peaceful place that helps to to restore our souls!

Stamping is another way that I relieve stress so I wanted to create at least one card before my hectic week at work started.  I decided to try this week's HSSCC108 Color Challenge and had so much fun that I ended up making two cards:-)

The first card uses the color challenge colors only and the second card combines the HSSCC108 Color Challenge along with the RS2 Retro Sketch Challenge.

Once reason I like participating in color challenges is that they "challenge" me to use color combinations that I normally would not put together and this one was no exception.  Real Red and Daffodil Delight are wonderful colors but a bit brighter than I normally tend to gravitate towards and to combine them with Soft Suede and Crumb Cake, I originally was not so sure:-)

I seemed to recall that these colors may be in my neglected Attic Boutique Designer Series paper and lo and behold, several of the pages focused on these colors!

The first card is a quick,  Clean and Simple (CAS) card and has very little stamping- the Attic Boutique DSP took center stage!

Just emboss the DSP panel with the Big Shot™ and the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder. Lightly sand the embossed areas with the Sanding Block.

Add the Real Red Satin Ribbon bow with the rolled flower/pearl center.  To create the flower- punch  the Daffodil Delight cardstock with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch, run through the Crimper Tool, cut a wavy spiral to the center, roll up from the outside edge, glue and place a pearl in the center.

Add the sentiment layered onto the XL Large Oval punched shapes and you are finished!

The second card uses the same colors with the RS2 Retro Sketch Challenge

Stamp the bee/floral image from Nature’s Pace onto Crumb Cake with Soft Suede ink.  Color the flowers and leaves with Stampin’ Write markers in Daffodil Delight,  Real Red and Crumb Cake.  Distress the edges with the Distressing Tool and your finger (tearing a bit along the way).  Sponge Soft Suede along the edges and use the Color Spritzer Tool with the Stampin’ Write Soft Suede marker to add more details.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Antique Boutique DSP and Soft Suede cardstock.,

Layer all together per the sketch, add the sentiment along with a few more flowers from the Boho Blossom Punch and of course, pearls.

Stamp Sets:  Nature’s Pace, Herb Expressions

Ink: Soft Suede, Stampin’ Write Markers- Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Real Red

Paper: Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Whisper White, Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper

Accessories:  Big Shot™,  Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder,  Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder , Sanding Block, Sponge Dauber, 5/8” Real Red Satin Ribbon, Distressing Tool, Crimper Tool,  Punches- 1 3/8” Circle, XL Oval Punch, Boho Blossoms; Sponge Dauber, Pearls

Thanks again for dropping by- your visits mean so much to me!  I hope all of you find a time to de-stress and have fun stamping!

Two Cards- Two Challenges and an Anniversary!

Hi Stampers!

I decided to create two cards using the colors from this week’s CQC98 ColourQ Challenge along with the sketches from this week's Stamping 411 with the Operators SSC217 Sketch Challenge (two sketches this week).

I seem to never have enough birthday cards on hand and thought that the colors this week would work well with one of my favorite stamp sets, Elements of Style.  After creating this card and while I still had the colors on the table, why not just create another one, so I decided to create a Christmas card as well.

Both cards were fairly quick and easy to create...once the design was determined :-)

Stamp the image with Soft Suede ink onto Whisper White cardstock and color the leaves using the Lucky Limeade SU! Marker and use a Blender Pen with Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo Classic Ink to color the flowers.   Distress the image with a Sponge Dauber and Soft Suede ink along with the Color Spritzer Tool™ with the Soft Suede SU! Marker-  layer onto Soft Suede and Whisper White cardstock.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss  a piece of Island Indigo and layer onto Lucky Limeade. Add the 5/8” Old Olive Satin Bow to the focal image and adhere to the Island Indigo layer.

With the Big Shot™ and the Designer Frames Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, emboss a piece of Soft Suede and cut around the outside border of the frame.
Stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White with Island Indigo ink and punch out with the Word Window Punch.  Create the rest of the label with the Large Oval and Modern Label Punch.

Stamp the butterfly image with Island Indigo onto Whisper White and carefully cut out.  Apply 2-Way Glue and Blue Brilliance Stampin’ Glitter® (retired) to the entire butterfly.

Add the pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:   Elements of Style, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo, Soft Suede, SU! Markers- Soft Suede
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede
Accessories:  Big Shot™, Framed Tulip and Designer Frames Textured Impressions™ EF, 5/8” Old Olive Satin Ribbon, Word Window and Modern Label Punch, Sponge Daubers, Pearls, Blue Brilliance Stampin’ Glitter® (retired) , Color Spritzer Tool, 2-Way Glue Pen, Blender Pen

Card#2-
Use the Big Shot™ with the new Snow Burst Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder (sneak peak) and the Northern Frost Decorative Strip Die to cut a few snowflakes with Whisper White cardstock.

Lightly sponge Island Indigo over the edges of the snowflakes and adhere them to circles punched with the 1 3/8” and 1 ¼” Circle Punches.  Use the 2-Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds to add glitter to each snowflake (I am on a glitter kick tonight).

Add the 5/8” Satin Ribbon (from my stash) to the embossed Whisper White panel along with the sentiment (stamped with Island Indigo and use the Decorative Label along the bottom to create the wavy border).

Adhere the panel to the Bermuda Bay card front and add the Rhinestones to the center of the snowflakes to finish off the card.
Stamp Sets:   Christmas Greetings
Ink: Island Indigo
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay (retired)
Accessories:  Big Shot™, Snow Burst Textured Impressions™ EF, Northern Frost Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die, Sponge Dauber, Rhinestones, Punches- 1 3/8” Circle, 1 ¼” Circle, Decorative Label, 5/8” Satin Ribbon (from my stash)

I hope you like both of these cards and I want to thank you again for visiting me today and over this past year.

Today marks the 1st anniversary of my blog and just a little over 60,000 visits!  Thanks again for stopping by and all of your encouragement- it means the world to me:-)

God Bless all of you this week and have fun stamping!

Nature Walk Returns!

Hi Stampers!

I created this card for this week’s  PP51 ColorChallenge at The Paper Players.  As you can see, the colors are bold and bright and possibly not the normal colors I would have paired together for my "Vintage" or "Shabby" style, but that is what I love about weekly challenges!

The colors definitely remind me of summer so I decided to use the returning set, Nature Walk :-).  If you did not have a chance to purchase this set when it was in the Occasions Mini, you will be able to after July 1st :-)

As usual, ThePaper Players Design Team has done a fabulous job and they have several guest designers for this summer – if you have a chance, check out their site (you will love all of the inspiration)!

This card was fairly simple to make- cut out a few Top Notes, emboss a panel from DSP and sand, stamp the images, color and spritz with markers and sponge.  Add the ribbon and brad to finish it off!  Quick and easy- if you have any questions, please let me know.

Stamp Sets:  Nature Walk, Thoughts and Prayers
Ink: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, SU! Markers- Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, retired DSP
Accessories:  Big Shot, Framed Tulips EF, Top Note Die, Sanding Block, Sponge Daubers, Color Spritzer Tool, 5/8” Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon (soon to be retired), Antique Brad

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope all of you are having a blessed week!
