SUO127 Wilderness Awaits- Favorite New Stamp Set :-)

Hi Stampers!

It’s time for the new SUO127 “Favorite New Stamp” Challenge!  What a decision- to choose only one as a favorite?  I decided to use The Wilderness Awaits since when I first saw that stamp set, it was immediately added to my “Wish List”.

Of course, I could not use just one, so I combined it with the new Vintage Leaves set as well as Petite Pairs for the sentiment.

I also incorporated the Time Out #35 Nature (with option twistof Animals)  Challenge and  F4A275 “Honor Thy Father” (see the details here and gallery here)

I hope you will find the time to check out all the rest of our Design Team ideas at SUO Challenges as well as those at the other two challenge sites- fabulous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Ink the fox image using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock.

Color the image using Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze and Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Markers for the fox, Wild Wasabi and  Mossy Meadow for the grass along with an AquaPainter™ (scribble the marker onto an acrylic block or craft mat and use the AquaPainter™ to apply to the image, then use the markers themselves as needed for definition).

Trim the image and mount onto Early Espresso cardstock, trim again and mount onto Cajun Craze cardstock.

Stamp the sentiment using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, punch out with the 1 ¼” Circle Punch and mount onto a circle of Early Espresso and Cajun Craze cardstock (also punched with the 1 ¼” Circle Punch).

Adhere the sentiment behind the fox image panel.

Use a Sponge Dauber to apply Tangelo Twist, Old Olive and Soft Suede to Very Vanilla cardstock.

Stamp the leaves using Memento® Tuxedo Black Ink and cut out by hand.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock, trim again and mount onto the Cajun Craze card base.

Add the Maple Leaf to the card front and mount the fox image using Stampin’ Dimensionals® to the card front.

Add the remaining leaves and mount the Cajun Craze bow (created with the Bow Builder Punch) along with the Antique Brad to finish off the card.
Stamp Sets:  The Wilderness Awaits, Vintage Leaves, Petite Pairs

Sunflower Prayers- A Calypso Coral Monochromatic Card

Hi Again Stampers!

I wanted to create a card using the CMCC40 Monochromatic ColorChallenge along with the FMS156 Sketch Challenge and the Fusion 09/25Inspiration Photo.

I had a few sunflower images filed away from My Digital Studio (MDS) and decided to incorporate one of the images into this card.

I hope you will have time to check out the challenge sites- so much inspiration!!

To create this card:

Open a blank document in My Digital Studio (MDS), position the sunflower image and print out onto Whisper White cardstock.

Color the petals using the Calypso Coral Slate Stampin’ Blendabilities™ Collection, the center of the Sunflower with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blendabilities™ marker and carefully “fussy-cut” the sunflower image separating a few of the petals.

Layer a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock onto the Early Espresso card base.

Using retired DSP, create the horizontal layers for the card and adhere to the card front.   Add the sentiment and Pearls.

Mount the Sunflower image onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals® to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Sunflower, Petite Pairs

Ink: Printer Ink- Black, Early Espresso, Stampin’ Blendabilities™- Calypso Coral Collection, Light Crumb Cake

Paper: Whisper White, Very Vanilla, retired Etcetera Designer Series Paper

Accessories: Pearls, 1 ¼” Circle Punch

World of Dreams Birthday :-)

Hi Again Stampers!

I have another card to share- this one was created using the bright colors from this week’s FUSION Challenge along with the Create withConnie and Mary CCMC307 Sketch Challenge (turned the sketch on it's side).

Again, I hope you have had a chance to visit the challenge sites- so many different interpretations of the challenges!!

To create this Clean and Layered (CAL) card:

Using Stampin’ Write Markers- Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush and Tangelo Twist color the Postively Chevron background stamp.  Lay a piece of Whisper White cardstock over the stamp and randomly press the paper to the ink, lifting off carefully.

Trim and layer onto a piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock, trim again mounting onto Tangelo Twist cardstock and adhere to the Basic Black card base.

Create the banner from the Back to Black Designer Series Paper (DSP) and mount onto Basic Black cardstock.  Adhere to the card front and add a strip of Basic Black cardstock.

Stamp the image from Wonderful Dream using Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock (I darkened the image using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker).

Cut out using the Big Shot™ along with the Oval Collections Framelits™ and mount onto another oval cut from Tangelo Twist cardstock.   Add the Strawberry Slush circles at the top and bottom of the oval (created from a 2 ½” XL Circle cut in half) and mount the entire panel onto a Basic Black Oval (cut from the Oval Collections Framelits™).

Mount the focal image onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.  Stamp the flowers using Petite Petals using Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink onto Strawberry Slush and Tangelo Twist cardstock.  Punch out using the Pansy Punch and mount onto the card front- highlight the centers using a Chalk Marker.

Ink the sentiment using Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink and stamp into the corner to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: World of Dreams, Petite Petals, Petite Pairs, Positively Chevron

Acrylic Block Technique for the Pals Paper Arts PPA170 Color Challenge

Hi Stampers!!

I hope all of you had a great weekend!!  I had so much fun yesterday spending time with fellow demos at our Joyful Hearts Quarterly meeting (I must admit, I have the best upline ever- Cindy Fodor :-)) and loved seeing all of my stamping “sisters” :-)

One of the 25 swaps that I have been busy creating :-)
I apologize for not posting often this week but I have been a bit busy with work as well as creating the twenty-five card fronts for the swap at the demo meeting (I cased myself and this swap card was a variation of a previously designed card here) :-))

I wanted to create another card so I decided to take a moment this evening to create a card using the colors from this week’s Pals PaperArts PPA170 Color Challenge

This classic color combo is so wonderful and perfect for so many types of cards – if you have not done so yet, I hope you can take the time to visit the Pals Paper Arts site and see all of the Design Team projects as well as the many other entries!

I decided to use the Acrylic Block Technique for this card and create another landscape (hope you are not getting tired of the landscape cards yet) :-)

To create this card:

Using Stampin’ Write markers in Crushed Curry and Midnight Muse, color an acrylic block and spritz water onto the ink before laying a piece of Whisper White cardstock over the ink on the block.

Ink the solid tree image from Evergreen using the Midnight Muse Classic Ink Pad or the marker, stamp repeatedly at different heights and stamp again using the Early Espresso marker or Classic Ink Pad.

Ink the script stamp from Notable Notions using Early Espresso ink and stamp off before stamping onto the image.  Spritz the image using the Color Spritzer Tool and the Midnight Muse Stampin’ Write marker.

Trim the image and adhere to a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and again onto a piece of Midnight Muse cardstock.

Emboss a piece of Crushed Curry Designer Series Paper using the Big Shot™ and the Argyle Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder (I used a piece of retired DSP from the Hostess Level I pack) and lightly sand using the Sanding Block.   Mount onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and again onto a piece of Midnight Muse cardstock.

Adhere the entire panel onto a Whisper White card base and add a Tea Lace Paper Doily (cut in half).  Add the focal image and sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.  Adhere the ½” Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon double bow along with the Pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Evergreen, Notable Notions, Petite Pairs

Ink:  Stampin’ Write Markers- Crushed Curry, Midnight Muse, Early Espresso

Paper:  Whisper White, Early Espresso, Midnight Muse, Crushed Curry Designer Series Paper

Accessories: Big Shot™, Argyle Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder. 1 3/8” Circle Punch, Tea Lace Paper Doily, Pearls, ½” Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon, Acrylic Block, Color Spritzer Tool (retired)

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope all of you have a fabulous Monday!!

CAS Daydream Birthday

Hi Stampers!

I decided to create a CAS Card using this week’s Dynamic Duos DD55 Color Challenge- I hope you will take the time to visit their site and check out the Design Team entries as well as the other submissions!

This card was quick and easy:

Stamp the Daydream Jumbo Wheel using Raspberry Ripple Classic Ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock. Fill in the center of the floral scrolls with a Stampin’ Write marker in Wisteria Wonder.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and mount onto Raspberry Ripple cardstock.

Also emboss a piece of Whisper White with the Modern Mosaic Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, adhere the Daydream panel at the top along with the sentiment from Petite Pairs.

Add the Satin Ribbon double bow (from my stash and it matches Wisteria Wonder perfectly) and mount onto Raspberry Ripple and again onto a Whisper White card base.

Use the Elegant Butterfly Punch to punch out three butterflies from Raspberry Ripple cardstock and add the Rhinestones to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Daydream (Jumbo Wheel), Petite Pairs

Ink:  Raspberry Ripple, Stampin’ Write marker- Wisteria Wonder

Paper: Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Modern Mosaic and Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing  Folders, XL Oval and Elegant Butterfly Punches, Rhinestones, Satin Ribbon (from my stash)

Thanks again for visiting- I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Clean and Simple Roses- Three Challenges in One!

Hi Again, Stampers!

I decided to create a CAS Card using this week’s CQC189 ColourQ Colors and the CAS(E) This SketchChallenge #28 along with the CASOLOGY Theme #44 Bloom.

If you have the time to check out all of the challenge sites, please do so- there is so much inspiration from their Design Teams as well as all of the other entries

I know that many of you may not think this card is simple, but trust me it is :-)

Also, not sure if I have too many layers to qualify for the CAS Challenges, but here it is…

To create this very easy CAS card:

Use the Big Shot™ with the Argyle Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White- trim down to 3 ¾” W x 5” H and set aside the trimmed pieces.

Create the rolled flowers from Calypso Coral, Ruby Red and Whisper White cardstock using the 1 ¼” Scallop Circle punch and the spiral cut method (see tutorial here).

Attach the embossed Whisper White background to Basic Black and Certainly Celery and mount onto Basic Black for the final frame.

Add the strip of Basic Black cardstock (from my scraps) and a piece of the trimmed embossed paper from the first step.

Punch the leaves from Certainly Celery cardstock using the Bird Builder Punch and add to the card front and adhere the rolled flowers along with the Pearls.

Add the sentiment to finish off the card.  See how simple.. and CAS to me! :-)

Stamp Sets: Petite Pairs

Ink:  Basic Black

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Certainly Celery, retired Ruby Red
Accessories:  Big Shot™,  Argyle Textured Impressions™ Embossing  Folder, Punches- 1 ¼” Scallop Circle, 1 3/8” Circle, Bird Builder, Pearls

Thanks again for stopping by and if you have the time, let me know if you like this card – your comments mean so much to me!

I hope you all of you have a wonderful weekend!  I have a "date" with approx. 20 young ladies for the Mother/Daughter brunch this morning and I am looking forward to helping them make a cute little flower pot easel card (they range in ages 3 to 12)- we will have so much fun!) :-)

081112 Swap Card- Joyful Hearts Meeting

Hi Stampers!

I have been busy stamping and finally can share at least one of the projects with you :-).

This card was created for the swap that we held at our SU! Quarterly Meeting- a great time with my upline, Cindy Fodor (she is fantastic) and my fellow demonstrators!  I love getting together and sharing ideas- if you have ever thought of joining Stampin’ Up! now is as great time!

For $ 99.00 you can chose the Starter Kit (pick $125.00 worth of product- your choice of stamps, etc.).  Join and work it as a business or just join to receive the discount- you can do it "your way".   If interested in joining my team, check out the details on my SU! website !  Click on the upper right hand tab (Join Now) for all of the details or the small tab at the top Contact Me and I can contact you regarding more information:-)

This card front was easy to duplicate to create the 26 needed for the swap today:-)

To create this card:

Use a sponge dauber to apply Crumb Cake Classic Ink onto the raised portion of the Holiday Frame Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Insert a piece of Whisper White cardstock and emboss with the Big Shot™.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Adorning Accents Framelits™ to cut the piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock.

Ink the interior of the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and emboss the Wisteria Wonder Framelit™ cut in the above step.

Use the Decorative Label Punch to punch out a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and emboss with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Cut the punched piece in half horizontally and adhere to the back of the Wisteria Wonder Framelit™.  Adhere the Framelit™ assembly to the embossed Whisper White background with SU! Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment from Petite Pairs using Early Espresso Classic Ink onto Whisper White and use a Sponge Dauber with Crumb Cake ink along the edges.  Punch out with the 1 ¼” Circle Punch and layer onto a circle punched from Early Espresso using the 1 3/8” Circle Punch.  Mount to the Framelit™ assembly with SU! Dimensionals.

Stamp the butterflies from Papillon Potpourri using Early Espresso Classic Ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock.  Punch out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch.  Use the Aqua Painter to apply a thin coat of Frost White Shimmer Paint to the butterflies.

Tie the small ribbon bow using ½” Crumb Cake Seam Binding and adhere the bow along with the butterflies to the Framelit™ assembly using Mini Glue Dots.

Stamp Sets: Papillon Potpourri, Petite Pairs

Cardstock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Wisteria Wonder

Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso

Accessories: Big Shot™, Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders- Holiday Frame, Lacy Brocade, Adorning Accents Framelit™, Punches- Decorative Label, Elegant Butterfly  Punch, 1 ¼” and 1 3/8” Circle, Sponge Dauber, ½” Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Pearls

Happy Birthday- Remake :-)

Hi Stampers!

Original Card for CQC147 Challenge
I had a few moments this evening to re-create a card that I had previously created for the CQC147 ColourQ Challenge.  I felt that the Kiwi Kiss was a bit overwhelming on the card so I replaced the Kiwi Kiss with Whisper White.

If interested, I have full detailed instructions for the Re-Make below:

Use the Big Shot™ emboss two pieces of Whisper White- one with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and the other with the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.

Cut the edge of the Delicate Designs Lace embossed border with the Large Scallop Edgelits™ Die and cut a  piece of Whisper White and Brilliant Blue (retired DSP) with the Big Shot™ and Adorning Accents Edgelits™ Die.

With Sponge Daubers, apply Regal Rose and Baja Breeze Classic Ink to Whisper White cardstock.  Stamp the floral images using Brilliant Blue Classic Ink and mount onto Brilliant Blue cardstock.

Layer onto Whisper White cardstock, add the punched butterflies, sentiment and pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Serene Silhouettes, Papillon Potpourri, Petite Pairs
Ink: Baja Breeze, Regal Rose, Brilliant Blue (retired)
Paper: Whisper White and Brilliant Blue DSP (retired)
Accessories:  Big Shot™, Delicate Designs and Fancy Fan Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders, Large Scallop and Adorning Accents Edgelits™ Dies, Sponge Daubers, Elegant Butterfly and Large Scallop Punches, Pearls

Thanks again for visiting and if you time, let me know which one you like better :-)

Nature Walk- Two Challenges in One!

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to create one more card this weekend and the HSSTC110 Watercolor Technique Challenge has been on my mind all week and I decided to combine this technique with the FMS27 Freshly Made Sketch.

Again, both sites provide so much inspiration between their wonderful Design Teams and the entries each week- if you have a chance, stop by and see for yourselves!

To create this card:

De-static a piece of Watercolor Paper and stamp the images from Nature Walk with Versamark™ ink.  Apply Stampin’ Emboss® Black Embossing Powder, heat with the Heat Tool.  Once the embossing powder has cooled, color the images with Watercolor Pencils and the Aqua Painter.

Punch the egg image with the 1 ¼” and 1 3/8” Circle Punches, use the 1 ¼” Punch for the bee and “fussy cut” the bird image.

Close-Up of Embossing and Background Stamp
Ink the background stamp, En Français with Bashful Blue Classic Ink and stamp onto Bashful Blue cardstock.   Direct apply Bashful Blue Classic Ink onto the smooth interior side of the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and emboss with the Big Shot™.

Huff onto the ink on the background stamp and stamp the punched pieces.  Mount the circles onto Basic Black cardstock.

Crimp a strip of Basic Black cardstock using the Crimper Tool.  Apply the 5/8” Black Satin Ribbon bow over the embossed background layer, add the crimped layer of Basic Black cardstock, adhere the strip of blue Satin Ribbon, mount the circle images with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the sentiment to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Nature Walk, En Français (background stamp), Petite Pairs

Ink: Versamark™, Basic Black

Paper: Watercolor, Naturals White, Bashful Blue, Basic Black

With Sympathy- Two Challenges in One!

Hi Stampers!

Although the colors for this week’s CQC106 ColourQ are bright and fun (not to mention that cute bee), I decided to use the colors along with the Freshly Made Sketches FMS6 Sketch to create another sympathy card (it seems as though a lot of friends are losing loved ones lately).

To create this card:

With the Big Shot™ and the Top Note Bigz™ Die, cut a two die cuts- one from Whisper White and other from Basic Black cardstock.  Trim the serrated edge off of the Whisper White piece and sand with the Sanding Block.

De-static the Whisper White die cut with the Embossing Buddy®, stamp the floral/bee image with Versamark® ink, apply Stampin’ Emboss® Black Embossing Powder  and heat with the Heat Tool.   Use Stampin’ Write markers in Basic Gray, Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry to color the image.

Use the Eyelet Border Punch to punch the edge of a piece of Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock.  Assemble the layers and add the 5/8” Basic Black Satin Ribbon bow.

Create the sentiment tag using the Large and X-Large Tag Punches along with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch.  Stamp the floral branches along the edges and color with the same markers as above.  Add the Antique Brad to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Nature’s Pace, Petite Pairs

Ink: Versamark®, Basic Black, Stampin’ Write Markers- Basic Gray, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry (retired)

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Basic Gray DSP, Crushed Curry (retired)
