Birthday Greetings- A Fun Color, Sketch and Theme Challenge

Hi Again Stampers! 

This card was created for few of my favorite bi-weekly online challenges, the Fab Friday using their FabFri44 Color Challenge and Hand Stamped Sentiments using their HSSC188 Sketch Challenge and the Seize the Birthday Anything Goes Challenge :-)

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ along with the Modern Mosaic Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock, trim again and mount onto the Tangelo Twist card base. 

Ink the sentiment from Wetlands (again, I just love the font used on the sentiments in this set) using Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and punch out with the XL Oval Punch.   Mount onto another oval punched from Basic Black cardstock using the XL Oval Punch and trim off the lower portion of the oval. 

Using MDS, insert the image from Postage Due into your document, re-size and print out onto Whisper White cardstock (or you could stamp using Basic Black or Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink- I had this image already printed and ready to go from a previous project).  Trim and mount onto Basic Black cardstock.

Create the little banners from the new Moonlight Designer Series stack and Basic Black cardstock using the Banner Punch,  Tangelo Twist cardstock using the Banner Punch and trimming the edges to create a tiny banner and the Lost Lagoon cardstock (stamped with the Dictionary background stamp using Lost Lagoon Classic Ink and the edge inserted into the Banner Punch to create a longer banner).   Here is a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers with the basic steps for the rolled flowers :-)

Adhere to the back of the Postage Due panel and add the panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals® and add the sentiment to the lower right hand corner. 

Create the rolled flowers from Blackberry Bliss and Tangelo Twist cardstock (use the 2 3/8” and 1 ¾” Scallop Circle Punches- punch the scallop circles, hand cut a wavy spiral from the outside of the scallop circle toward the center, use the retired Crimper Tool to distress a bit, roll up from the outside edge and adhere using Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive or a Hot Glue Gun).

Create the leaves from Mossy Meadow cardstock with the Bird Builder Punch and adhere behind the rolled flowers.   Add the flowers to the card front (again, I used a Hot Glue Gun since I had it on my desk and ready to go) and add a few Rhinestones to finish off the card.

Another Fun Card using the Packing Tape Technique :-)

Hi Again Stampers!!

Here is my second card that I created yesterday using my Gelli Arts® Gel Printing Plate and the Packing Tape Technique (see this post for the steps to create the packing tape strips) :-)

This card uses the CAS(E) This Sketch CTS81 Challenge along with the FUSION Inspiration Photo, the Seize the Birthday Anything Goes (with no toppings) Challenge and since it has circles, the Splitcoaststampers MIX73 "Round and Round" Challenge :-)

Again, I hope you have the time to check out all of the challenge sites- so many different interpretations and ideas!

To create this card:

Use one of the packing tape layers to create the banner and adhere to a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Add the White Baker’s Twine to the top of the banner. 

Use the Big Shot™ with the Chevron Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock.  Trim and mount onto the Whisper White card base and add the banner to the card front.  

Using Gold Encore™ Ink, stamp the butterflies from Papillon Potpourri onto Basic Black cardstock and punch out using the Elegant Butterfly Punch.  Adhere to another butterfly (also punched with the Elegant Butterfly Punch from Basic Black cardstock) and mount the butterflies to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from Express Yourself using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, punch out using the Word Window Punch and create the banner points using the Hexagon Punch.

Mount onto a layer of Basic Black cardstock (also punched with the Word Window Punch along with banner points created from the Hexagon Punch).  Add to the front of the card. 

Add the Pearls to the butterfly centers to finish off the card.

Accessories: Big Shot™, Chevron Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Gelli Arts® Gel Printing Plate, Brayer, Punches- Hexagon, Elegant Butterfly; Pearls

World Traveling Celebration :-)

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to create another card using the new stamp, Traveler along with our new Typeset Designer Series Paper (DSP) for the Seize the Birthday "Anything Goes with No Topping" Challenge along with the Splitcoaststampers WT483  “Swing in the Hammock” Challenge :-)

I hope that you will have a chance to visit both sites- so many ideas and inspiration!!

To create this card:

Ink the images from the stamp set Traveler using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock.

  

Add a few shadows using the Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker and a bit of distressing with the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge and Sahara Sand Classic Ink.

Punch the suitcase, journal and camera images out using the 1 3/8” Square Punch and trim the globe using the Paper Trimmer.   Mount onto Basic Black cardstock and trim the frames around the images.

Use a Sponge Dauber to apply a bit of Sahara Sand Classic Ink over the images (to help tone the Very Vanilla cardstock).

Ink the Postively Chevron background stamp using Sahara Sand Classic Ink and lay the piece of Typeset DSP over the inked stamp.

Lightly apply pressure in a random pattern over the paper.  Ink the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge using Sahara Sand and Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp repeatedly to the background to add a bit of distressing.

Use the Distressing Tool to distress the edges and use the Sponge Dauber to apply Sahara Sand Classic Ink and mount this layer onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock. 

Add the vertical panels of Very Vanilla cardstock (layered onto Basic Black cardstock and distressed with the Gorgeous Grunge splatter stamp using Sahara Sand Classic Ink).  

Adhere the strands of 1 ¼” Burlap Ribbon (the burlap was pulled apart for another post here and these were a few of the leftover strands- again, love using my scraps)!

Add the mounted suitcase, camera and journal images around the perimeter of the globe image (the globe is mounted using Stampin’ Dimensionals®. 

Stamp the sentiment from Starburst Sayings using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock.   Use the Big Shot™ with the Starburst Framelits™ to cut around the sentiment and also cut a starburst from Basic Black cardstock using the same size framelit™.  

Split the Basic Black layer into two and adhere behind the sentiment allowing a bit of the frame to “peek” out at the top and bottom.

Mount the sentiment to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals®. 

Adhere the entire panel onto a piece of Baked Brown Sugar cardstock and mount onto the Basic Black card base to finish off the card.

Ink: Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink , Sahara Sand

Paper/Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Baked Brown Sugar, Basic Black, Typeset DSP

Accessories: Big Shot™, Starburst Framelits™, 1 3/8” Square Punch, 1 ¼” Burlap Ribbon (pulled apart and only use a few strands), Distressing Tool
