HYCCT1406 A Teddy Bear for My Sister Challenge

Hi Again Stampers!

Here is last card that I created yesterday for the Splitcoaststampers Hope You Can Cling To Challenge (HYCCT) to promote Breast Cancer Awareness and create cards to encourage those with cancer and their families.

 

This card was created for LuvLee aka Lee’s HYCCT1406 “A Teddy Bear for My Sister” Challenge- (see the gallery here and the details here) along with the Splitcoaststampers CC502 Color Challenge and SC477 SketchChallenge  :-)

To create this card:

Ink the image from the year 2000 retired set, Honey Bear using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock (I have been a SU! demo for a long time :-)).

Use Stampin’ Up! retired Watercolor Pencils along with the AquaPainter™ to color the image.  Trim and mount onto a piece of Marina Mist cardstock, trim and mount again onto a piece of retired Midnight Muse cardstock.

Stamp the sentiment using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, color using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils and punch out with the XL Oval Punch (also punching ovals from Marina Mist and Midnight Muse cardstock).

Cut the Marina Mist and Midnight Muse cardstock ovals in half and layer behind the sentiment.

Create a banner from the retired Gumball Green Designer Series Paper (DSP) using a Square Punch and trimming the remaining points by hand.  Mount onto a piece of Midnight Muse cardstock (trimming the banner points by hand as well).

Add the banner to the Whisper White cardstock panel and mount onto the Midnight Muse card front.

Add the Bear image panel along with the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals® to finish off the card.

HYCCT1405 Side By Side, Two By Two

Hi Again Stampers!

Here is one more card I created yesterday for the Splitcoaststampers Hope You CanCling To Challenge (HYCCT) to promote Breast Cancer Awareness and create cards to encourage those with cancer and their families.

To create this card:

Ink the image from the retired set, Forever Friends using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock.

Use Stampin’ Up! retired Watercolor Pencils along with the AquaPainter™ to color the image.  Trim and mount onto a piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock.

Stamp the sentiment using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, trim the panel and mount onto the Elegant Eggplant card base.

Add the focal image panel along with the punched flowers and Pearls to finish off the card.

HYCCT1404 Holding It Together

Hi Again Stampers!

Here is another card I created yesterday for the Splitcoaststampers Hope You CanCling To Challenge (HYCCT) to promote Breast Cancer Awareness and create cards to encourage those with cancer and their families. 

This card was created for Cook22 aka Sabrina’s HYCCT1404 “Holding It Together” Challenge- (see the gallery here and the details here).

To create this card:

Use the Distressing Tool to distress a piece of Graphic 45 French Country background paper and using a sewing machine, attach the background to the Whisper White card base.

Sew the garden panel from Graphic 45’s French Country and sew on the sentiment (Bloom with Hope Hostess set stamped with Soft Suede Classic Ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and banners created with the Hexagon Punch). 

Use a Sponge Dauber to add Soft Suede along the edges to tone down the Whisper White cardstock as well as distress the edges a bit.

I should bring out my sewing machine more often- this card was so quick and easy to create!!

HYCCT1403 Log Cabin Quilt with a Cute Cat

Hi Again Stampers!

This card for another entry in the Splitcoaststampers Hope You Can Cling ToChallenge (HYCCT) to promote Breast Cancer Awareness and create cards to encourage those with cancer and their families.

 

This card was created for Holly aka hbrown’s HYCCT1403 “Stripping Down” Challenge- (see the gallery here and the details here).

To create this card:

Create the log cabin quilt design using Designer Series Paper (DSP) Strips from retired Night and Day DSP along with retired Blushing Bride DSP (I googled “Log Cabin Quilt Patterns” online and modified to create a 4”x4” square).

Use the Big Shot™ with the retired Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss the quilt panel.  

Trim the quilt panel to "square up" and mount onto Basic Black cardstock, trim again and mount onto Blushing Bride DSP, trim and mpount onto Basic Black cardstock.

Add the 5/8” Basic Black Satin Triple Ribbon bow to the corner and mount the entire panel onto the Blushing Bride card front.

Stamp the sentiment using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink at the bottom of the card front- add a few Pearls along with the die cut cat to finish off the card (you know me, I have to have a cat :-))

Here is one of my helpers this weekend- she stays right by my side at all times and doesn't she have the cutest paws with her mitten feet- I love her so much!

HYCCT1402 Hope Floats

Hi Again Stampers!

Here is another entry for the Splitcoaststampers Hope You Can Cling To Challenge (HYCCT) to promote Breast Cancer Awareness and create cards to encourage those with cancer and their families. 

This card was created for the rgrohall aka Rebecca aka bellacarta HYCCT1402 "Hope Floats" Challenge (see the gallery here and the details for the challenge here) along with the Splitcoaststampers SC511 Sketch Challenge.

To create this card:

Stamp the image from the retired set, Birds (I love using my retired sets) using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock. 

Punch the image out using the 2 ½” Circle Punch and also punch a circle from Basic Black cardstock.  Cut the Basic Black circle in half and mount behind the focal image.

Use the Big Shot™ with the retired Lacy BrocadeTextured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Trim and mount onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock and add the 5/8” Basic Black Triple Satin Ribbon bow.

 

Stamp the sentiment from Heartspeak using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of retired Blushing Bride Designer Series (DSP).  Add two strips of Basic Black cardstock to mimic an entire layer (and reduce the weight for mailing) and mount onto the embossed card front.

Adhere the entire panel to the Blushing Bride card front and mount the bird images using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Add the Pearls to finish off the card.

To create this card:

Stamp the image from the retired set, Gentle Thoughts using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto Vellum cardstock.  Color the image using Stampin’ Write Watercolor pencils.  Trim and mount onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock (trimming around the frame image).

Use the Big Shot™ with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Trim and mount onto the Blushing Bride card front.

Trim and mount an angled piece of retired Concord Crush Designer Series Paper (DSP) adding the strip of Blushing Bride DSP and scrap piece of Whisper White (cut with the Big Shot™ and Finishing Touches Edgelits™). 

Mount the sentiment and focal image to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.  Add a few Pearls to finish off the card.

Shine On! Hope You Can Cling To along with Two Other Challenges :-)

Hi Stampers!

For the entire month of October, Splitcoaststampers has been hosting the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge (HYCCT) to promote Breast Cancer Awareness and create cards to encourage those with cancer and their families.  

This card was created for the Stamp_Momma aka Lori’s HYCCT1401B Challenge- “Shine On” (see the gallery here and the details here) along with the CQC265 ColourQ Challenge and the HSSC197 Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge.

To create this card:

Cut various strips of Designer Series Paper (DSP)- I used retired Concord Crush from a Hostess Level I pack along with retired Sycamore Street DSP and Tangerine Tango DSP. 

Mount the strips onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock, add the 5/8” Basic Black Triple Satin Ribbon Bow and mount onto the Tangerine Tango card front.

Stamp the image from the retired 2004 set, Furnished with Love using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock.  Color the image using Stampin’ Write Markers- Lucky Limeade, Concord Crush and Crushed Curry.  Add a highlight on the lamp using the White Gel Pen.

Cut the triangular panel for the sketch and mount onto a triangular piece of Basic Black cardstock. 

Add the triangular panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Stamp the sentiment using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, punch out using the 1” Circle Punch, mount onto another circle of Basic Black cardstock punched with the 1 ¼” Circle Punch and add to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®. 

Add a few Rhinestones to finish off the card.

Ink:  Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink; Stampin’ Write Markers- Concord Crush, Crushed Curry, Lucky Limeade; White Gel Pen

Always Thinking of You- Hope You Can Cling To along with Just Add Ink

Hi Stampers!

For the entire month of October, Splitcoaststampers has been hosting their annual Hope You Can Cling To Challenge (HYCCT) to promote Breast Cancer Awareness and create cards to encourage those with cancer and their families. 

My husband, Dave has been recently diagnosed with a rare non-Hodgkins lymphoma (blood cancer called Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia –WM for short) and he will need to start chemotherapy for 18 to 24 weeks.   

Needless to say, we have been a bit busy back and forth to various doctors and tests and we are praying that he is in the 90% that respond to the chemo (since there is no cure for this type of cancer).  We know that the Lord has a perfect plan for us and we are trusting fully in Him. 

Due to my husband’s recent diagnosis and the busyness of the appointments, etc., I did not think I would be able to participate this year in the HYCCT Challenge, but after heartfelt prayer and consideration, I decided to get started on the challenges yesterday and will try to create a card for each challenge (I have until November 7^th at noon to complete all 35 of them)- wish me luck!

This first card was created for the Lydia's HYCCT1401a Challenge- "You Raise Me Up" (see the gallery here and the details here) along with the Just Add Ink JAI238 SketchChallenge  (check out the links to see the great creations at both sites).

To create this card:

Using Stampin’ Write Markers- Early Espresso and Wild Wasabi, color the branch stamp from the retired set, Take Care and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock.

Trim the panel and round the corner using the Envelope Punch Board.  Mount onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock (rounding the corner as well) and add a strip of retired Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Use the Big Shot™ with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of retired Poetry Print DSP, mount the panel onto the Early Espresso card front and add the tree branch panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals®. 

Add a bit of distressing with the Gorgeous Grunge splatter stamp using Soft Suede Classic Ink. 

Stamp the nest image using Early Espresso Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock.  Use a Sponge Dauber to apply Soft Suede Classic Ink to the image and color the leaves with the Wild Wasabi Stampin’ Write marker.  Carefully cut out the image and mount to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®. 

Stamp the eggs using Coastal Cabana Classic Ink and cut out each by hand.  Add a bit of shadowing using the Sponge Dauber with Soft Suede Classic Ink and mount each individually to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.  Add a few more speckles using the White Gel Pen.

Stamp the sentiment with Early Espresso Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and create the banner with the Hexagon Punch.

Mount the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals® and add the retired Designer Brushed Bronze Button with Coastal Cabana cardstock strips in the center to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Take Care, Express Yourself, Gorgeous Grunge

Ink:  Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Coastal Cabana; Stampin’ Write Markers- Early Espresso, Wild Wasabi; White Gel Pen

Paper: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Coastal Cabana, retired Poetry Print and Eastern Elegance DSP  

                                         

Accessories: Big Shot™, Woodgrain Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Hexagon Punch, Sponge Dauber, retired Designer Brushed Bronze Button
