World Map Thank You - Three Challenges in One!

Hi Stampers!

Another week has gone by and time for the Dynamic Duos DD96 “Your Choice” Week- Gumball Green with your choice of color – I decided to use Pool Party as the second color and create a fun “Thank You” card using the Mojo Monday Mojo338 Sketch and a watercolor technique for the FM153 Friday Mashup! Watercolor Wonders Challenge.

Again, I hope that you will find the time to stop by and check out the rest of the fabulous Dynamic Duos Design Team projects and create a project of your own using this week’s colors - we would love to have you join us!!

To create this card:

I decided to use My Digitial Studio (MDS) to print out the World Map stamp brudh image (reduced in size) onto Whisper White cardstock (but you could easily stamp the background stamp onto Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black Classic Ink or StazOn™).

Using an AquaPainter,  apply Pool Party Classic Ink onto the ocean and sea areas, Crumb Cake and Gumball Green Classic Ink onto the land areas of the map.

Hand tear the paper into a loose circle shape for the MoJo338 sketch and apply Crumb Cake Classic Ink to the edges using a Sponge Dauber as well as a bit of distressing with the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper (DSP), trim and adhere to a Basic Black cardstock layer.

Adhere a the piece of Gumball Green/Pool Party DSP to a Basic Black card base and add the embossed layer at an angle per the sketch.

Mount the map to the embossed panel and add the banners (created from the same DSP as the embossed layer using the Banner Punch and mounted onto scraps of Basic Black cardstock- I used pieces that had been previously embossed with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder) using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Add the sentiment banner and Candy Dots to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  World Map, Wetlands, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Gumball Green, Pool Party, Crumb Cake
Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Epic Day This and That DSP
Accessories: Big Shot™, Woodgrain and Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders, Banner Punch, AquaPainter™, Candy Dots

SUO93 Scallop Tag Treat Box

Hi Stampers!

Time for another SUO-Only Challenge and the SUO93 Challenge is“Boxes, Bags and Baskets” and 3-D is definitely another challenge for me!  I decided to use the new Scallop Tag Punch versus a Big Shot™ die and had a great time!!

If I had this one to do again, I would stamp the cardstock prior to creating the box (trust me, it would have been easier :-))!

I hope you will have the time to visit and check out the rest of the fantastic Design Team projects as well as create your own and share with us
To create this project:
Using the Scallop Tag Punch, punch out two tags 5 ¼” long by 2” wide from So Saffron cardstock, score each tag along the straight edge using the Simply Scored™ Tool at 1 ¼” .
Create the center box with a piece of So Saffron cardstock – this is the part that I had to create the dimensions based off the tag (I neglected to write them down- I believe it was a 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” piece of cardstock, scored at 1 1/8”, 3 1/8” , flip and score again to create a small box for the treat).    If I have the time, I will create another and write down all of the dimensions
Ink the Ex Libris background stamp using Baked Brown Sugar and stamp all of the pieces prior to adhering the box together.
Hidden Treat of Chocolate- Every Girl's Favorite :-)
Add the rolled flower along with the banner sentiment and ribbon to finish off the project.
Stamp Sets: Ex Libris, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Stampin’ Write Markers- Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz, Crisp Cantaloupe
Paper/Cardstock:  So Saffron, Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Punches: Hexagon, 1 ¾” Scallop Circle, Bird Builder, Scalloped Tag, 3/8” So Saffron Taffeta Ribbon, Simply Scored™ Tool

I hope that you will find the time to stop by and check out the rest of the fabulous Dynamic Duos Design Team projects and create a project of your own using this week’s colors - we would love to have you join us!!

Ink the flower stem and petals from Summer Silhouettes with Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink and stamp over the background.

Trim the panel and layer onto Soft Sky cardstock.  Add the Rich Razzleberry cardstock “half” layers along with the Pale Plum cardstock (retired) to finish off the focal image panel.

Mount a piece of Whisper White cardstock onto a layer of Rich Razzleberry cardstock and adhere to the Soft Sky card base.

Stamp the sentiment using Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punch out with the Large Oval Punch.  Layer onto two ovals punched from Rich Razzleberry cardstock (adhered together but overlapping a bit to create the frame for the sentiment).

Add the double Rich Razzleberry 5/8” Satin Ribbon bow to the focal panel and adhere the Whisper White button to the center.

Mount the focal panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals™ and add the sentiment to the upper corner to finish off the card.

Clean and Layered- Banners for Three Challenges :-)

Hi Again Stampers!!

I was able to create another card this weekend and decided to go Clean and Layered (CAL) this time (a very difficult style for me :-)).

When looking for inspiration for this card, I used The Card Concept Challenge #5 Colors along with the Fusion #6 Inspiration and the FMS127 Sketch at FreshlyMade Sketches—again, I hope you will have a chance to stop by to visit all of the challenge sites to see the wonderful Design Team samples and entries!

To create this card:

Using Gumball Green Classic Ink, stamp the “Hi” and Polka Dot stamps from Banner Blast onto Whisper White cardstock and use the Banner Punch to cut out the banners.

Repeatedly stamp the circle stamp from Lacy and Lovely using Gumball Green Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, cut two small banners with the Banner Punch and create the longer banner using the 1 ¼” Square Punch.

Layer the long banner onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock, creating the banner points using the 1 ¼” Square Punch as well and add a few scrap pieces of Gumball Green cardstock.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Early Espresso cardstock.

Layer a piece of Whisper White cardstock onto Gumball Green cardstock and again onto the Early Espresso card base.  Add the Woodgrain embossed panel and the large banner per the sketch.

Punch a banner using the Banner Punch from Early Espresso Designer Series Paper (DSP) and using a Hot Glue Gun, adhere the banners to a piece of retired Hemp Twine (knotted on the ends), adhere to the front of the card.

Add the button from the retired Neutrals Collection to the upper corner of the banner per the sketch (I used a small strip of Gumball Green cardstock to the center to mimic thread) and the Rhinestone to dot the “i” on “hi” to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Banner Blast, Lacy and Lovely

Ink: Gumball Green

Paper: Whisper White, Gumball Green, Early Espresso, Early Espresso DSP

Accessories: Big Shot™, Woodgrain Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Punches- Banner Punch, 1 ¼” Square, Rhinestone, retired Hemp Twine, retired Neutrals Collection button
