Hello Friends!

It’s time for the new SUO131 “Get Well Soon” Challenge and I decided to create a quick, fun background with the new Woodland Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.

I also incorporated the Addicted to Stamps and More #161 "Anything Goes" Challenge as well as the Splitcoaststampers’ WT547 “Seasons”Challenge- I love the crisp air and gorgeous colors that are here on the East Coast during the autumn!!

I hope you will have a chance to check out my sister DesignTeam member samples and create your own Stampin’ Up! Only project for our gallery.

To create this card:

Using a Sponge Dauber, apply Tip Top Taupe to the interior of the Woodland Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, insert a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and emboss with the Big Shot™.

Trim the embossed image and mount onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock, trim again and mount onto the Very Vanilla card base.

Ink the wren image from An Open Heart using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink and color using Stampin’ Write Markers- Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and Tip Top Taupe and use the AquaPainter™ to blend the color.

Carefully fussy-cut the image leaving an area for the “ground” – color the “ground” using a Sponge Dauber with Mossy Meadow Classic Ink using the AquaPainter™ to blend the color, add the splatter from Gorgeous Grunge with Tip Top Taupe Classic Ink and use a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to color the edge of the cut paper.

Mount the bird image to the lower portion of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Add a strip of Basic Black cardstock using Stampin’ Dimensionals® and add the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes (punched with the Word Window Punch).

Stamp the leaves from Vintage Leaves with Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock, color with Sponge Daubers using Delightful Dijon, Old Olive and Cajun Craze Classic Ink.

Fussy-cut the leaves and adhere along the sentiment layer to finish off the card.

SUO108 Bag in A Box for A Birthday Treat :-)

Hi Stampers!

This card was created for the new SUO108 “The Treats The Thing”Challenge (create a treat holder) and I decided to create a gift bag versus a small treat container and used the Splitcoaststampers Box in a Bag tutorial found here

The only thing I changed was the paper used for the bag itself- instead of Designer Series Paper (DSP) I used Very Vanilla cardstock and I also used a current punch (versus the retired Tab Punch) :-)

I hope that you will visit us at SUO-Challenges to check out the rest of the Design Team projects and join in on in on the fun with your Stampin’ Up! Only creations!

To create this project:
Using the Simply Scored™ Tool,  score your 4 ½” x 4 ½” cardstock (you cannot see it but I used Always Artichoke)  at 1” on all four sides and assemble the box per the tutorial.
Ink the branch stamp from An Open Heart using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp repeatedly onto the 5 ½” x 11” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Color the images using Stampin’ Blendabilities™- Old Olive and Wisteria Wonder Collections.
Add distressing with Gorgeous Grunge and Baked Brown Sugar Classic Ink and sponge Baked Brown Sugar Classic Ink over the Very Vanilla to “age” the paper.
Use Sticky Strip along the bottom of the prepared box (from the step above) and add the stamped cardstock panel to create the “bag”.
Add the strip over the bottom of the panel along with the Decorative Label Punch pieces at the top (for the tabs).  Punch a hole into the “tabs” to insert the ½” Early Espresso Seam Binding Ribbon bow.
Add the rolled Wisteria Wonder flowers along with the Early Espresso leaves from the Bird Builder Punch (create the rolled flower using the 1 ¼” Scallop Circle Punch, cutting a spiral toward the center starting at the outside edge and rolling up- see the basic Splitcoaststampers tutorial here).
Ink the sentiment from Blooming with Kindness using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock.  Create the banner using the Hexagon Punch and add the distressing with the Baked Brown Sugar Classic Ink with the same steps taken on the bag portion.
Add the fussy-cut bird image along with a few Pe
Another View of the front :-)
arls to finish off the bag (I had this image in my stash already colored with Stampin’ Write Markers- Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand, So Saffron and “fussy-cut” and ready to go).
Stamp Sets: An Open Heart, Blooming with Kindness, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink, Baked Brown Sugar, Early Espresso;  Stampin’ Blendabilities™- Light and Medium Old Olive and Wisteria Wonder; Stampin’ Write Markers- Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand, So Saffron; White Gel Pen
Paper/Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Early Espresso, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Accessories:  Simply Scored™ Tool, Sponge Daubers, Punches- Decorative Label, Scallop Edge Border, 1 ¼” Scallop Circle, Bird Builder, Hexagon Punch; ½” Early Espresso Seam Binding Ribbon, Pearls

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by – you are such an encouragement to me!  I hope you have a chance to join in on our “TheTreats The Thing” Challenge- have a wonderful week!!

Birthday Wishes For LeAnne- A Color, Technique and Sketch Challenge :-)

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to create another card using one of my favorite stamp sets, An Open Heart and decided to incorporate the C489 Splitcoaststampers' Color Challenge (Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Calypso Coral) along with the FM170 Friday Mashup! DelftTile Background and Sketch (modified the sketch a bit) and also a birthday cardfor the #119 blog hop at Merry Monday for LeAnne  (Happy Birthday LeAnne!!).

If you have not had a chance to do, I hope that you will take a moment to visit all of the challenge sites- so many wonderful Design Teams samples and entries!

To create this card:

Use the Simply Scoring Tool™ to score lines on a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 1” increments to create the tile background.

Using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink stamp the stem image onto Whisper White cardstock, mask and repeatedly stamp the image again, mask and stamp once more.

Color the floral stem image using the Stampin’ Write markers- Pool Party and Bermuda Bay for the leaves and Calypso Coral for the berries and blossoms.

Use the medium Calyso Coral Blendabilities™ marker to add shadows on the blossoms and the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write marker to add shadows to the image.

Use a Sponge Dauber with Crumb Cake Classic Ink to sponge over the entire image and allow the “grout” lines to show :-)   Add additional shadows with Soft Suede Classic Ink  and use the Color Spritzer Tool with the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write marker to add more distressing.

Trim the panel and adhere to a piece of Pool Party cardstock, trim again and add to the Calypso Coral cardstock layer.

Add the embossed lace panel- I had this piece in my scraps :-)   It had been previously cut with the Big Shot™ along with the Large Scallop Edgelit™ and embossed with the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder (that had been inked with Crumb Cake Classic Ink prior to embossing the Whisper White cardstock).

Sponge additional Crumb Cake Classic Ink onto the Calypso Coral cardstock at the bottom of the card and use the Color Spritzer Tool with the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write marker.

Add the 5/8” Satin Ribbon bow (from my stash)  to cover the seam of the lace embossed piece.

I also had a pre-printed sentiment in my stash (using My Digital Studio onto Whisper White cardstock)- sponge with Crumb Cake Classic Ink , punch out using the Large Scallop Punch and layered onto a Pool Party cardstock oval punched with the Large Oval Punch as well.

Layer the panel onto a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock , trim and mount onto a Whisper White card base.   Sponge Crumb Cake Classic Ink to “antique” the edges of the card and age the Whisper White card base.

Stamp the Carolina Wren image onto Whisper White cardstock using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and color using the Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Baked Brown Sugar Stampin’ Write markers and carefully cut out by hand.

Cut a 2” Circle from Whisper White cardstock and create a horizon line using the Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker.  Mask the line and repeatedly stamp the leaf image from World of Dreams using Pool Party Classic Ink, ink the same image using Bermuda Bay Classic Ink and stamp a few leaves with the Bermuda Bay.

Color the “ground” area with the Crumb Cake and Baked Brown Sugar Stampin’ Write marker and Light Crumb Cake Blendabilities™ marker.

Use a Sponge Dauber with Crumb Cake Classic Ink to distress the paper and add the spritzing using the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write marker along with the Color Spritzer Tool.

Punch out a 2” Circle from Pool Party and Calypso Coral cardstock, split the circles in half horizontally and adhere behind the stamped landscape image.

Add the fussy cut wren to the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals® and adhere to the layered circle.

Stamp Sets: An Open Heart, World of Dreams, Hugs and Wishes (MDS version)

Ink: Memento™ Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Stampin’ Write Markers- Basic Black, Baked Brown Sugar, Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Sahara Sand; Stampin’ Blendabilities™- Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake Collections

An Open Heart- One Layer for PP200

Hi Stampers!

I am having so much fun with my new stamps that I wanted to share a few more of my creations.   This card was created using the new set, An Open Heart (love the images especially the Carolina Wren) and I decided to create a one layer card for The Paper Players PP200 Challenge (chose one of the challenges that the Design Team chose from the last 200- this card is for Ann's choice PP142).

The main design is all on one layer of Very Vanilla but I did add a frame of Basic Black and Baked Brown Sugar to finish off the card- not sure if this still qualifies as one layer but thought I would submit since this challenge was the inspiration :-)

I have one more card for the PP200 Challenge to share in a separate post and I hope you will take the time (if you have not done so already) to visit The Paper Players and check out all of the other Design Team entries as well as the gallery- wonderful inspiration from all!!

To create this card:

Ink the bird stamp from An Open Heart using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.

Re-ink the bird image and stamp onto a sticky note or scrap piece of paper to use as a mask.  Carefully “fussy-cut” around the image for the mask and place it over the stamped bird image on the cardstock.

Create another mask for the ground layer and place onto the card.  Using a Sponge Dauber, apply a bit of Crumb Cake Classic Ink onto the upper part around the bird image and Baked Brown Sugar Classic Ink for the ground area.

Keep the masks in place and ink the leaf spray stamp using Crumb Cake Classic ink and repeatedly stamp onto the card over the bird, re-ink the same stamp using Baked Brown Sugar and stamp a few times as well.

Remove the masks and color the bird using Stampin’ Write markers- Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, So Saffron and Baked Brown Sugar.  Use the Chalk Marker to add a few white highlights to the wings and use the Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to add a line around the ground area.

Ink the splatter image from Gorgeous Grunge using Crumb Cake Classic Ink to add a bit of distressing over the card and lightly sponge with additional Crumb Cake Classic Ink over the edges.

Ink the sentiment stamp from Trust God using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp onto the card front.

Trim the panel and mount onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock, trim again and mount onto the Baked Brown Sugar card base to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: An Open Heart, World of Dreams, Gorgeous Grunge, Trust God

Ink:  Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink, Crumb Cake, Baked Brown Sugar; Stampin’ Write Markers- Sahara Sand, Baked Brown Sugar, Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Basic Black; Chalk Marker

Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Baked Brown Sugar

Accessories: Sponge Dauber, sticky note for mask

Thanks again for taking the time to visit- I will share another card for a different one of The Paper Players PP200 Challenges shortly :-)
